This song reminds me of my Nana too. She was such a strong spirit who had so much love to give the world and no shortage of sass. She passed away a few years ago but I still miss her. I always admired her strength and spirit and because of who she was, helped me to find who I am when I was lost. I know this song is about God, but the lyrics resonate so much with my memory of her and how she still helps me even though she is no longer physically here.
I found this band thanks to WWE and after 9 years since the first song they used, tonight they used Brave to commemorate one of the greatest performers. I love Skillet and this is a great song.

Skillet, you may never read this comment, but this song brings me to tears and was the restart of my hope and faith during my difficult transition after abandonment by some of my family, and my now nearly one year old child's father. I found a temporary home for pregnant women facing crisis created in the image of God and his love for all. I was broken I was scared. All I wanted was to be a mom and during my time at the Nehemiah house, I found that God never left. He called me Brave, and said His words through my friends and extended family. And now I'm in that same transition again, but as a close friend of mine reminded, I'm continuing upwards on a positive path even though I feel like I'm spiraling down at times. This song reminds me I am NOT alone. I am created brave and strong in HIS image, I am LOVED. And He has a path for me that He knows I can face and to put all my faith and trust in Him. Thank you Skillet! You guys are awesome 😇

Even though I am an ateist, Christian is the first word that came into my mind. However, I dont consider it the best one. I know it wouldnt have been understood, but the best word is "universal". It´s because of how EVERYONE can find his song, when listening to Skillet. They have songs about fighting, religion, love and sadness, and every song can express feelings in a fantastic way.
