- He had neither a clue, nor the so-called drive, to make his entrepreneurial impact on the world. All he had was the curiosity of a child and the attitude of the smart backbencher, who did well both in and outside the classroom. Growing up in Vashi, Bombay, today's guest is no stranger to chasing after dreams in the Bambaiyaa style hustle. In an era, where engineering and medical were the only gateways, he paved his own path. With a fresh, futuristic mind, not long after he started his career, he ended up setting up two companies.
He realised that to have a meaningful impact, you need to "change the plumbing". That's when he set up his 3rd, and most successful venture, ACKO! This new age insurance and tech firm has made a revolutionary dent in the traditional insurance market. Now living and operating from Bangalore, he still breathes, misses and loves the Bombay way of life. No matter how many milestones he achieves, deep down, he's still that kid whose heart beats for the city of dreams, his home. The kid, who as a grown up, has adopted making history as his newly ordained hobby. The Founder of Acko, The Bombay Boy - Varun Dua!
We talked about-

About Humans of Bombay -
Humans of Bombay is a movement that started 8 years ago. We believe that every person has a story to tell and we want to help them tell these stories. In these years we’ve published stories across genres - stories of love, hope, faith and courage. And through our storytelling, we’ve built an engaged community of over 4.5M!
Our idea is simple - to strike a chord with our community and catalog the beat of humanity, one story at a time.
Lucky to be working with him at Acko! Watching and learning from him has always been inspiring!
Sarr pe baraf aur muh mein sakar.. what a line 🤌
❤️❤️❤️
Bangalore will take over all the cities in next 20 years. Technology sector is the future and Bangalore is future city of india, unless local politicians screw it up
Tech might be the future but without finance no industry can exist . Finance was , is and will remain the largest industry
Thanks Karishma and Varun.
Awesome episode!! Karishma, one thing i always observe and listen in ur interview episodes that the way u acknowledge people with two simple words and with ur voice tone : yeah and Woww is really really awesome and mesmerising❤❤
I watched first the Aamir Khan chat and now this. One was referred to me by a friend. This came on its own to my phone. The stories are just interesting, inspiring and in a way soul searching. Seen the website also. Want to look more inside the site as I had just read a couple of stories only. Keep it up Karishma and group! You are really doing a great job!!

Love the Content, But I Have A Suggestion, The Seo Plays the Major Role To Get The Video To Many Viewers So, I Think The Improvment In Seo Leads To Many Viewers

There were so many junctions where I felt like giving a liked button when I had already done that in the first 10 mins. 😊

Finally, talking about the interview I have followed Karishma Mehta on LinkedIn and this is the first ever interview I have seen so far of Karishma's.
Highly impressed with the flow of the interview and since I am on a break currently, I was quite interested with what Varun had to say and loved how Karishma drove the entire interview. Thanks!
Music to my ears!
Hey me too. I wanted to be a newsreader too!! What with Rini khanna, Prannoy Roy, Komal GB Singh...
Major port city VS inland Retirement town, Wrong comparison.
Varun Ji ko meri Dua
❤️❤️❤️
They purposely don't collect few documents so that later they can reject the claim. And that's how work ethics really gets killed on purpose.. But it really takes guts to make money out of someone's misery and then feel proud about it after all you will receive incentives for that. What kind of human do that. Or shall I even consider to call him human. One thing that I learnt late is that you need to stay away from thieves, looters and insurance guys. They must be teaching you how to grow by rejecting claims and pocketing that hard earned money. What I will suggest is not to buy an insurance because it's not worth it to go through this painful process which is frustrating and embarrassing instead save that money so that atleast you will not regret .First you take installment from us then which is the reason your houses are running and then you work hard to reject our claims.
Kya bolein ho Dua sahab🤌
❤️❤️❤️
