No, the Thalmor are based. The imperial cucks don’t deserve anything after they fumbled the bag and let a bunch of cave dwelling cultists murder the septim line and force the last one to suicide. See how pathetic they are without Akatosh’s blood?
Imagine if the game recognized the race you were playing when triggering this scene and had Pelinal react accordingly. "Your need must be great for the gods to allow us to speak. A twisted irony... that it would be a wretched elf that calls for me. Fortunately for you, death has softened my mood. Had we met in life, I'd arrange for a duel on the spot! The crimes of your foul kindred would be visited upon you! Alas, I can no longer do such a thing."
I don't why, but I love the way Pelinal talks. There's an expected undertone of restrained anger sure, but he speaks in a more eloquent way than I would expect of someone with a reputation like his.
I would love to have pelinal's voice actor be as insane as he was in the stories. Would really drive home the ambiguity of the character. He liberated the Nedes but slaughtered many innocents whilst doing it.
Hmm, in a sense I agree, but then again, as someone with a lot of nostalgia for Oblivion- there was something special about how innocent most of it feels on the surface when you know *nothing* about TES generally. I loved the contrast between most of the game and the moments where it was bizarre, violent and dark (at least for a 12-year-old) and it made what I read about in all the history books feel that much more like you were learning some crazy forbidden stuff. I'm not sure I would be as into The Elder Scrolls as I am now otherwise. It also makes this scene sort of comical when you know what's up. But I'd kind of expect a demigod to seem heroic, in a vacuum.
