Great job using the alien planet stage for this saga instead of the destroyed city
I always thought it was a missed opportunity that they didn't use this stage for this story mode. Why else have it? I guess they didn't want to make an extra map for this stage since it'd only be for one chapter.
Same thing happened in BT3, I guess the stage was more like a Planet Frieza thing and not Fake Vegeta
Ruined earth would've been valid too
I always thought the same thing, I get that it’s not actually new planet vegeta, but it works perfectly for this story and makes way more sense than it taking place on earth.
I also always felt that they should have used ruined earth for Tree of Might.

I agree. It makes sense not to use it for bt2 because of map exploration but they had no excuse for bt3. This stage always felt wasted

19:00 1 freakin' HP, and you still managed to not lose. Trunks was very spammy with the high power rush. A simple hesitation, and that comeback wouldn't had happened. Gg indeed.
And great mod btw, i like that you also get to play as the villains in them. If something always bugged me from BT2's story mode was playing as the protagonists in the matches, only to see them defeated in the cutscenes.

American Dub died to me when they fired him so unfairly. They also ignore the many allegation of sexual abuses made by Chris Sabat too.
I am sticking to the original dub in every new game now.

I think an Escape Battle scenario would work better for 5:35 instead of 1:11. Considering the narration at 2:34 describing their battle as blow-for-blow, it would feel disingenuous to have said battle be that kind of mission.
After all, I feel there should be at least one mission (before the final one) where you control the character opposing the super-armor'd Broly to realize how durable the guy is. It's what really stood out to me when I played this game for the first time.
And, as weird as it might sound, I think Broly was in base form when he fought base Goku in the movie. Not only were his eyes black for almost the entire battle, but Goku never brought up the idea that Broly's energy matched the guy that destroyed South Galaxy until the end of their tussle (right before Paragus stepped in to get his son to stop and leave). Not to mention that Goku never questioned the guy being Super Saiyan.
Yeah, his hair wasn't black in the fight-it was slightly purple. But, hey, Goku's was slightly blue-from nighttime shading. It could be like that filler episode where Goku & Pikkon had to stop Cell, King Cold, Freeza, & the Ginyu Force in HFIL, animating Super Saiyan Goku one-tapping the squad but jarringly having his eyes and hair remain black (so Pikkon could be surprised at seeing Super Saiyan in the tournament). Last-minute plot-related revelation forcing the colorists to change gear?
So maybe you could have the 1:11 mission be base Broly vs. base Goku in a normal Battle mission? Base Broly deserves some storymode screentime.
14:18 Considering that Piccolo gave the others Senzu Beans in the movie when he arrived, I'm wondering if you could edit the dialogue and body animation for this scene to match.
Of course, that may also call for all 4 characters to be Broly's opponents for that mission. Hard to have the next mission with Vegeta and Trunks top that.
Maybe have Vegeta & Trunks vs. Broly be another Survival mission? I dunno. Might make it more personal tho. Facing down the Legendary SSJ as yourself through Vegeta, redeeming him from cowardice. Should he be in his Super Vegeta form with the timeline of this movie? Also dunno.

I could definitely swap the escape battles around. I see your point on that, and as for Broly being in base form, as far as I understand, his purple hair is Super Saiyan type-A, with the night light effecting the color of it. I can't really add four opponents; I haven't discovered a better method for adding them yet. The most I could do is three for that one, and yes, I plan on fixing Piccolo's line; I just haven't messed with lip sync data yet.

Is there a way to mod the lighter blonde hair color of ssj Goku mid onto other ssj characters I always liked the pale blonde better than the golden hair
I think I'll leave it as is, although I intend on including optional patches people can install for different things. I could make that one of them.

I have a question. When the mod comes out, how are you going to separate the three versions of Goku (Early, Mid, and End?) There is only one slot for Goku, unless you are replacing other characters on the roster to fit all versions of Goku?
All three are already in I replaced Great Ape Raditz with Goku (Early) and Great Ape Nappa with Goku (Mid).

If you do Circle + Triangle, you do a power guard, which drains ki and can be used to block rush Blast 2s.

If only they have this game on ps5. This game was one of my favorites during the ps2 era. BT2 had the best soundtrack of any dragon ball game
