i love that the dual signs can start and finish things... knowing how to finish something the right way is very important, fix and cardinal personalities can have a difficult time accepting change and the need for endings... for this maybe some of the dual signs have wisdom and healing symbolism associated to them i think

It is actually quite good tool for understanding the person. If cardinal is stronger than the others, the person is a starter. If dual is stronger, the person is finisher etc.

Great explanation Vic,. You’ve such an artist who explains this amazing kaleidoscope of human mental, emotional and spiritual aspect of ourselves. This is a complex understanding. It takes the interest (you have to want to learn), desires and most importantly time for learning.

This is a beautiful way to describe basic principles in a very concise manner and clear manner.
I just want to add one more consideration for you to deliberate on
- Each of the 4 Quadruplicities have one element each of earth , water, Air and Fire elements.
- These 4 elements also describe the 4 purusharthas - Dharma , Artha, Kama and Moksha
- Fire represents purity and it represents Dharma
- Earth represents opulence's or Artha
- Air represents Desires or Kama
- Water represents Happiness/peace or Moksha
- For each Quadruple there are 4 elements indicating there is Dharma, Artha, Kama and Mosksha Balance for each individual.
- Lagna indicates where the individual is placed in the spiritual progress cycle
The word modality that you used is perfect because it shows how each of these 3 modalities describe the 3 different paths to attaining moksha
1/10/7/4 - Movable Raasis : Their mode of attaining moksha is through Karma yoga. varnashram Dharma involves activities for the pleasure of Lord.
5/2/11/8 - fixed raasis : Their mode of attaining moksha is through Jnana/Yoga . Sitting in their position and cultivating knowledge, connecting with paramatma is their primary approach.
9/6/3/12 - Dual Raasis : Their mode of attaining Moksha is through Bhakti . They do activities but without fruitive mentalityy and they remain fixed in their service to the lord. So they are movable as well as fixed.

Why does vedic astrology not include outer planets?

wondering...would it make a diffreence if we had 13 signs..28 degrees each...?
i v just multiplied it and gives us 364 degrees..which make a year....+1 which is ..th bridge transition to the new year ..the day GODD...Goddess God rested...in th bible...

besides..tropical astrology is 21 degrees behind..the vedic doesnt consider neptune or pluto..so..in any casae..it d appreciate a change
.moon is essential for nakshatras-there r 134 full moon a year and the chart would look more realistic..
no big deal to find the 4 season point...dividing it in 4...91 degrees each....
