UNWANTED FURNITURE GETS A MAKEOVER
I think I may ruffle some feathers with this furniture makeover. I take a different asthetic approach to this side table makeover as I transform it to a style I dont typically do on my channel. And if youre wondering how I may ruffle some feathers, well if you guessed painting solid wood then youre right. I share the easy steps I took to transform these side tables to hopefully go to a home where they will be loved for many years to come.

I remember a couple of years back, you did a bone inlaid look with stencils on a desk...I think these two accent tables --- their shape and design ---- would have made for a great choice to use that same look. That being said, you sure did a good job in improving them. Hope they sold well for you.😊

They actually look good painted white.
I remember the style from many years ago. There was a time when some thought they were hideous looking, you'd find them tossed out.
With you making them more today's trend, they are nice looking.

I love the old end tables that are out of style but so WELL made. I have an MCM that I painted to look like it goes with my best furniture. Don’t freak out, the finish was failing badly. But, I am going to strip it and refinish with stain. It will be gorgeous. ❤

What a blast from the past! Had these same end tables, but slightly larger, back in the mid 70's. The bases are mostly a plastic composite front, right? Do you lightly sand those parts before paint?
They usually are, this one was actually all solid wood!
But yes I would scuff sand !

I had a set of these end tables gifted to me when I moved to my first apartment! I wish I'd thought to or knew how to give them a makeover. They had good bones, but a bad finish.
