Centenary Anthem for Nigeria written and performed by Onyeka Onwenu, featuring - Zaaki Assay, Tosin Martins, Omawumi Megbele, E.B.E.N, Silver Saddih, Ayobami Ayolola, Seun Shobo
wow....... BEautiful. God bless Nigeria........... There is hope for Nigeria. All this corruption and troubles will be over, By God;s Grace...... we will get there In Jesus name. God bless my Country NIGERIA........United we stand.
Really lovely, I loved Eben and Jodie's parts, quite touching. I do wish that Nigerians will start to stand up for Nigeria and be the change that we want to see and stop sitting at the seat of the scornful, mocking everything that is wrong, but never doing anything to make it better! Nigeria will be great again. It is the land of our birth and only we can make it better. America didnt make Americans, Americans made America. Nigeria won't make things better, Nigerians will make Nigeria better....PLAY YOUR PART!!
As a kid, NTA played this catchy music video that goes 'I know a lot abt my country b/c I care; Nigeria, my beloved..'. I've since wanted my birthplace to be better simply for bringing me. On that tip, I loved this! Internet ppl will yeye the optimism, but if this stokes flames of sacrificial love in just 1 Nigerian - your venture was worth it. I hope all we 'inspired' are expecting when our shoulders are called on to lift. God keep us. (..fighting this pedantic urge: 2013 minus 1962 equals =P)
Modupe Olasengbe Sarratt I CANNOT STOP WATCHING THIS CELEBRATION. MY PRAYER, MAY GOD BLESS NIGERIA PROGRESS FOR A BETTER FUTURE, NIGERIA IS OUR DESTINY TO BE HOLD AND CHERISH. I WOULD FOREVER BE GRATEFUL TO THE LAND OF MY ORIGIN. BECAUSE NIGERIA IS ABOUT UNITY AT HOME AND ABROAD WHILE I AM PROUD TO BE U.S.A CITIZEN, I SHARED THE PRIDE WITH THE LAND OF MY ORIGIN.
I am not Nigerian but celebrate with you. May God bless and Foster greater unity in your country. What an awesome Music video. The song is wonderfully inspiring and the production excellent! well done and congrats.
I believe in Nigeria,I know that soonest everything will come to get better if only we all nigerians can blelieve and stop complaining...its a lovely song to remind us that we will still get sweet destination that God has packaged for us...thank you madam onyeka onwenu for inspiring us that the future is still brighter...God blessNigeria
The leaders are YOUR EMPLOYEES - not your owners. Be unite with honest people and get rid of those who are not and standing in the way of your progress. Congratulations - 100 years of fierce fight to unite, stand the course, much more to come! The music is just WONDERFUL and shows the good taste of the Nigerian folks.
I sometimes ponder the word "indivisible". Nigeria indeed appears to define that word entirely. In spite of everything,in spite of the violence, ethnic and religious differences, in spite of the wasteful, inept leadership,in spite of the years under military dictatorship and collapsed infrastructure, in spite of it all, Nigeria has endured as one country. NIGERIA WE HAIL THEE !
Am so loving this song,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, wt a bunch of super-talented artistes..... makes me feel dre s hope for Nigeria> Thumbs up, Onyeka Onwenu. U are super-great.
Can't help myself, i just keep hitting re-play...Nigeria indeed this land of mine, so much diversity yet we remain one, I absolutely love my Country. I am not saying we are perfect, i will be the first to point everything that's gone wrong but i believe in our unity, we are standing tall and we will get there one day soon...
May Almighty God, Almighty Allah or Sango or Amadioha grant Nigeria truly patriotic leaders that will finally rule without tribal or religious sentiments. We all wish and want Nigeria to survive, but no human being ever trades their God given freedom for anything or any country. Nigeria must therefore work to make every part and every citizen feel like they belong and can aspire to any office in the land. I pray Nigeria stands the test of time. Looks unlikely, but we must keep that hope alive..
AWEsome! Helps me to be grateful to the Nigerian community here in Guangzhou/Canton, China, that has graciously accepted me! Happy birthday, dear Nigeria...I promise to visit you! Always, Happy Sunday!
Though I've never been and don't understand political forces governing the land... I have love and deep respect for the country and the people. Many, Many Blessings (from the depths of my heart).
I stand here and I proclaim in the name that is above all kingdoms and dominions that ENEMIES of Nigeria will be DESTROYED without REMEDIES in JESUS name!!!! and the host of heaven says AMEN!!!!
We have a lot of problems in Nigeria, but like it or not, we HAVE come far. And this video was beautifully made. Forever proud to be Nigerian. Nigeria, WE WILL STAND!
Exactly our fears too. But the concept of Nigeria deserves to be given a chance to succeed. It shall be a great and beautiful thing to see a clearly & truly black power on the face of the planet. Let us make it work ! For the sake of ourselves and the black race !
I strongly feel that we are still one in Nigeria....inspite of all obvious differences. This song brings it out so well. We are one, not perfect, but one. Great song
Somehow I'm just finding out about this song... and not threw other Nigerian videos ironically. But just as the next Nigerian who takes pride in their culture and heritage, I have to ask how TRUE are the lyrics of this song? How unified is Nigeria/are Nigerians? What are the things being done to create a new Nigeria - I know it can be seen in private companies and businesses, but why not on a federal level, what impact is the government having towards creating a better, new Nigeria? I feel like after visiting Naija after almost 10 years between a couple years of secondary school, not much has changed.
Instead of running to another country, help us re-build it so that we don't lose our beloved country forever and then become a second class citizen in another country. We CAN do it, ALL of us.
NIGERIA is not just our so called leaders but MOST importantly YOU and ME. Strong, Bold, Loving, Caring, Beautiful...PEOPLE. God bless our beautiful land. We will surely STAND! Against all odds we will !!.
I absolutely loved this video!! What stuck out to me the most was the face of that boy scout- young and determined. The children are our future leaders, we must do our best to preserve the progress our nation has made so far, so that these our successors can enjoy a better tomorrow.
In all honesty and sincerity, the song is so BRILLIANT in every sense. I understand the optimism of nigerians celebrating 100 years nevertheless lets be REALISTIC with ourselves does this look like WHAT WE ARE MEANT TO BE DOING RIGHT NOW? Nigeria is not near a hundred, there are and i repeat there are MORE PRESSING ISSUES now than there has ever been yet we allow ourselves to be distracted by a CELEBRATION THAT IS INEVITABLE. Before you comment or reply, understand my perspective. LONG LIVE 9ja.

NIGERIA IS BLESSED AND HAVE ALL IT TAKES TO STAND TALL ROUND THIS WORLD! NO ONE DOUBTS. NIGERIA GOD IS MY OWN EXCLAMATION FOR THIS SONG!GOD BLESS THEM. Janet Oladosu Thank you. For your comment you have become one of my best friends. Comments like his saddened me when I was much younger, but these days I feel absolutley NOTHING. Let him go and find another country that will ccept him as one of their wn, or a country that hasn't had any hardships listed in their history.
Americans didn’t sit around whining that their country wasn't doing anything and then overnight became successful. To the pessimists of Nigeria, YOU are part of the problem. Nigeria needs her citizens to recognize that in order to move forward we must help her. We alone are Nigeria’s saviors just like Americans were, and are, Americas saviors. So please cease with the negative attitude and ask yourself, ‘What can I contribute to making Nigeria a better place for tomorrow.’ God Bless Nigeria.
