He's an icon of Suva. I think every school student that passed through the bus stand will remember him. My most vivid memory of him was that he was always so well groomed, always looked neat, clean and tidy and even with some style. I remember his long ponytail at one time and always wearing neat, attractive bula shirts. But then I always noticed his shoes too because they were the only thing that gave a clue about how hard he works. The soles were always worn down on one side. What a great man. Thank you Mr Ali for your hardwork and sharing your wisdom. God bless you.
and the film maker did an amazing job! it was such a well told story and so professionally presented. Can really tell the effort that went into it. Thank you for making quality Fijian content 🌺
60 years of dedicated service and at same time, honest , hard work. The Govt of Fiji should give recognition and offer a medal of honour.
The year was 1976 and as a young 14-year-old MBHS student I bought peanuts and beans from him at the Suva bus stand. I am now 60 and he is still selling beans...He was young back then with a ponytail and today 2022 he is still going strong....wow what a lesson in life for everyone.
I believe he should have also been given the Fiji 50 Years Independence Medal for his contribution to the society. Im sure all those that have come to the Suva Bus Stand (especially those that went to school in Suva) then and now, would have remembered his face or have have bought bean/peanut from him.
The government is corrupt crooks
isaa feeling nostalgic ,vinaka dan for highlighting mr Alis,,lifestory, worth a president medal for public service this gentleman
Great short film showing one of the hard working fijians. I love Fiji and will try and catch up with this Muasam when I am in Fiji on November. Fiji is my second home as I went to Suva Grammar 1959 to end 1960 as my dad was in the air force at Lauthala Bay. It was a fantastic experience for me and family. Coming from Auckland to Suva was certainly different for us but we soon adopted the "Fiji way of life" Vinaka. Ian Langley - New Zealand
I can't help but to watch in tears. Not sad tears, but more of tears of joy and proud of this man's hustle, patients and determination.
Did a really fantastic job here Dan 👏 👍🏼

God does not exist
I remember him during my school days in the 90s. Was a customer of his for many years. If there is an example of hard work and dedication to a business, it is him! So inspiring. I can only imagine the amount of pollution he has inhaled from the buses over the years and the strain on his body.
I recalled him with his basket in the Suva Bus Stand selling on foot walking back and forth. A popular bean seller with a pony tail. The 70s, the 80s, 90s and I'm surprised he is still selling.
Vinaka vakalevu Mr Ali, you motivated everyone through your hard work, determination and the highest standard you valued your work. You taught us a big lesson in life. I'm here in US and grateful indeed to see you with your basket and your network. Thank you sir for feeding Fiji with your delicious bean peanuts.

One of the iconic citizens of Suva. Been around since I was in Primary school,...he had a pony tail at one time, with shirt ,top few buttons undone and one silver bangle on his arm...lol. Hard work, humility, dedication and perseverance. Our youth today should learn from this man. Vinaka Mr Ali!

Still really fit at 72 years of age where most people are retired laid back. Not this gentleman. He's a walking legend.
He represents all the down to earth genuinely nice and contented island folks we met during our vacation just May 2022 and also 3 years before.🥰

I wish him every best for his future and can only hope he continues to sell his produce to more generations of Fijian people.
