yeah they should probably call it a vendor build, not a dream build. That's very misleading.
I had the same thing happen to my FJ's windshield trim piece. It took 4 trips to the windshield installer to get the right guy to get it right. It takes an experienced guy or gal to get the job done. Very nice FJ btw. Well done with the mods.
I'm glad that you made this one. It's a "behind-the-scenes" of what takes place. Most that watch the show think it must be great to have them build your "dream" when in reality it's not. I'm sure you had no issue selling that FJ. I picked up a 2014 White from the original owner, no mods on it.

What Throtl should do is offer up the dream build of the owner. They should ask for a list of what the owner would like to see done to their rig and go from there. Why they thought if you had a white FJ, you'd prefer it red, is a huge presumption on their part.They should've worked with the color platform they had. Add stuff, but don't change the color. Not sure those Throtl guys are offroaders either. Those side-steps are a big, red flag. Unbelieveable that they left the inner portion of your FJ white. That's laughable.

I would personally remove the wrap and go back white. Your original FJ is definitely a way better build. They should have at least gave you real rock sliders from Westcott.

I just put 275/70/17 on my FJ but they are rubbing at full turn. Will lift will help me or I still have to do the BMC ? Thanks

It's funny, I watched the original video of the reveal start to finish and as soon as I saw your face I knew you didn't like the wrap, honestly I cringed when they pulled out that Red Vinyl, I was like NOOOOOO.... That is not what you want on an offroad rig. I mean free stuff is cool, but dang the fact you had 0 input in what they did to it is like what...

That red exterior and white interior is horrible .
i guess the only reason u dont like it is the pink color, just remove the wrap is that easy, all the parts look nice, i know u are very picky about what to do to a car u are just like me, all the work done is pretty expensive..
