- This video explains the theory side and the practical side of Bay Parking UK forward and reverse. For any manoeuvre including this Bay Parking UK - forward and reverse bay parking you need the following three letters; C.O.P which stands for Control, Observation and Position.

You must make sure your control of the vehicle is good and that you know and understand how to control. So the Bay Parking in the driving test can be carried out where there is a slight up hill or down hill so you understand of the clutch control and the understanding of brake control will be tested. Do you understand the Clutch Control and the Brake Control and do you know how to put these into practice?
Second is the Observation. Observations is the key. If your Observation is weak on Bay Parking you will not pass your driving test. So when reversing are you looking at the back over your left shoulder mainly, are signalling if needed, is your blind spot checked, are you aware of vehicles passing and pedestrians and cyclists around you.
Thirdly Position - you must make sure you understand the position and if wrong you correct it to show your understanding. So in bay parking if not in the bay and you finish on a line do you then correct it or do you just leave it incorrect.
