- Welcome to Harry Potter Theory. Today, I’m going to be discussing a few different Harry Potter fan theories. However, what sets these particular theories apart is their truly DARK nature. These aren’t happy fan theories, these are the result of deep diving in to the darker side of the lore. Harry Potter can be innocent and child-like, but that certainly doesn’t mean that it’s devoid or exempt from the darker side of life. With that said, let’s dive in to RANKING my top 5 DARKEST Harry Potter fan theories. They’re all pretty dark, but one has got to be darkest.

If Jenny use the love potion on hairy how come he didn’t act all lovestruck crazy like Ron did when he ate the love potion candy meant for Harry?
i have a theory that voldemort is harrys uncle. They are both descended from the peverells anyway soooooooooo
One thing I always thought was messed up is that they never officially gave Hagrid back his wand even though they found out he definitely didn't open the chamber of secrets.
I could imagine Hagrid refused to take it back, so no one could even misjudge him again
His wand was broken after they accused him of opening the chamber.
Also there's another theory that his wand was mended by dumbledore, who had the elder wand which is the only wand to be able to mend wands, and they hid his wand in his umbrella so no one knew he had a wand
@@kohlmeierkuhns2930 the umbrella definitely works so someone, probably dumbledore, made sure hagrid did have a working, but concealed wand. I suppose there’d be no reason to undisguised it from the umbrella. But Brian is also right at least in that we never hear of any full apology or vindication of hagrid after Chamber of Secrets. It’s strange they expelled him for opening the chamber but he didn’t get in legal trouble. AND dumbledore convinced Dippet to keep him on as gamekeeper. That’s a very all over the place response by everyone to the conclusion hagrid had opened the chamber.
In the books Hagrid says that he kept the pieces when they snapped his wand
@@willemdafuck8433 also that was before it was clear a broken wand couldn’t work. Hagrid said that to Ollivander, who then said “but you don’t use them!” The following book we learn broken wands can’t be used properly. So not only did he kept the pieces, but he got them repaired and hidden in the umbrella. Probably by dumbledore using the elder wand of course, as has been pointed out by folks since we know the wand can repair them.
Voldemort possessing Bertha Jorkins' unborn fetus is definitely one of the darkest theories I have come across and it's likely true
It makes sense too. When we see Voldemort after he wasn’t processing Quirell anymore he looked more like a spirit without form. Why didn’t he look like that I’m Goblet of Fire? Voldemort in his weakened state wasn’t powerful enough to fully possess Quirell and functioned more as a parasite that coexisted with him. It’s likely that the only thing he would be able to fully possess is something that is also weak, like a fetus.
Voldemort was definitely evil enough to do something like that. There wasn't any depth to which he wouldn't sink
A fetus would mean that Bertha had a companion, one who apparently didn't raise any alarm when she disappeared. Bertha didn't even have friends, just coworkers who didn't care much about her.
@@alexandrorocca7142 as a general rule it's not that difficult to have sex after your 20s, even for someone who isn't generally liked. Her pregnancy could've simply been accidental.
@@alexandrorocca7142 it could have come from any type of situation. Maybe it was a one night stand, or the relationship broke down. Perhaps she had a cryptic pregnancy and didn’t realize. That or she was only around 4-5 months along and that relationship broke down to the point where she wanted to leave…or it’s even possible that Voldy knew she had a companion, then got Peter to cast the imperius curse, controlling her to then break up with that companion and leave town. Then in the forest she was “lured” and kept there until the fetus could survive after vitality week (21-24 weeks). Then voldy killed her and possessed it
In regards to the theory about Ginny giving Harry a love potion.
The argument that Harry fancied Cho Chang and then started flirting with the waitress and then immediately started fancying Ginny can all be explained by the simple fact that Harry was a teenage boy.
It is also only based on the movies. Everything is way better explained in the books and has a longer time frame.
and in the book, they spent loads of time together over the summer and didnt flirt with the waitress
And the waitress was movie not book!
also redhair is quite an attractive feature
Furthermore, Harry’s attraction to Ginny was perpetual; it lasted through that whole year. That would only have been consistent with this theory if Ginny could have snuck love potion into his meals three times a day. There’s no way she could possibly have done that without being detected. Fred and George had made it clear they weren’t going to give it to her anyway, and the chances are that she could not have gotten it from Horace Slughorn either.
"James and Lilly were only 21 when they were murdered" - Look like both are close to their 40 in the movie. lol
Yeah. They changed the ages of the adults because of their actors. Personally, I don't mind, cause James' and Lily's deaths were tragic either way, and neither version was of natural causes or old age.
@@shannonshaw3063 having a child and being persecuted by one of the most powerful and sadistic wizards has kinda an aging effect

The whole “and it was all just a dream” thing is an absolute cop out that can be applied to almost every fictional book. In reality it wasn’t all in Harry’s head, it was all in JK Rowlings head.
most of the time with these theories, the main piece of evidence is that "the writer has never stated whether this is true or not" which is completely invalid, jk rowling has never said that Dumbledore was actually just a jar of mayo, doesn't make it true
That’s how Lost was ruined
@@Votey12345 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 brilliant
Well it's the same thing with The Wizard of Oz, in the books it all was real, but the movie changed it to just a dream...

The half blood prince makes it clear that Harry spent most of the summer at the burrow and spent a lot of time hanging out with all of them to the point that he forgot Ginny wasn't part of his group at school.
The love potion theory can only have come from a movie-only fan
Exactly this, Harry's attraction towards Ginny was nowhere near sudden in the books, it was gradual. It was only sudden in the movies, probably because they're very compressed and because they didn't do Ginny any justice compared to book Ginny.
@@xIcarus227 yes
Not to mention how ridiculous people act while under the influence of the potion. Like somebody wouldn't be like "Harry acting really strange around Ginny eh?"
Movie only person here and I still didn't think their romance was all that sudden or inappropriate. Potter obviously spent a lot of time with his friend's family off-screen and the actors threw in subtext -- just enough to make it logical, nowhere near enough to make it creepy or weird as Potter hit teenage-hood. I, for one, kinda saw it coming. Even in the films only.
THANK YOU! I loathe this theory so much, and the rationale here makes little sense. People are allowed to have crushes on multiple people at the same time, so he easily could have been into Ginny on a subconscious level while dating Cho. They also had a shared trauma, not just their possession by Voldemort but the battle at the Department of Mysteries. Harry also felt pangs of jealousy when Ginny started dating as well. AND who can forget who long Ron and Hermione were downright obsessed with each other before they realized how deeply in love they were.
Plus, flirting with a waitress was only in the movie. It's not even canon.
The movies did not portray Ginny very well. In the books Ginny was described as a very cool girl but in the movies Ginny had very few moments and lines and she is also underrated just like Ron.
Facts, Ginny seems in the movies like a scared little girl, in the book she’s brave and cool. Ron in movies is just plain dumb
Yeah, she was barely in the movies, even the Chamber of Secrets where she was the central 'stooge' of the dark forces, she had little screen presence.
idk if its just me, or in the earlier HP movies, I think Rupert was over acting, specially in Chamber of Secrets
yeah, the only line they gave movie-Ginny to make her look not even half as cool as she actually was in the book was the "SHUT IT!" on the Quidditch pitch. 😂
She is a non-entity in the movies and one of the coolest characters in the books. When she takes out the loudmouths quidditch announcer after winning the match - GOLDEN!
Lily's parents could have been the ones that died in a car crash?!
Maybe that's where that lie came from when they told Harry.
That's actually quit genius
Omg
It could make sense. After all, it is considered normal under Muggle circumstances. But if the movie content was approved by J.K Rowling, does it mean she intended to explore how his grandparents died?
And along those lines, it's possible that Deatheaters could have been responsible for the car crash
James and Lilly, 21 years old. Looking like my parents while I'm sat here at 32.
That Ginny theory is purely a movie-based one. If you read the books, you'll know exactly when, where, how, and why Harry and Ginny get together. Ginny is ridiculously awesome in the books. Like a little Molly Weasley.

1) That conversation was specifically about Lily.
2) We already knew from Order of the Phoenix that Petunia knew more about the Wizarding world than she let on.
3) If true, the next question would be whether Petunia blamed Lily for their parents' deaths.
1) Yeah well to be fair James's father Fleamont was already a senior citizen when he was born. His mother Euphemia may have been a little younger but probably wasn't spry either by the time she gave birth to James. They most likely had passed away by the time Harry was born.
2) That's true its possible she may have accompanied her parents and Lily when they went to Diagon Alley to buy Lily's stuff for Hogwarts every year. I doubt she would have been completely ignorant of the Wizarding World considering how she's related to someone who is a member.
3) I presume she might have. Although she already had plenty of reasons to be resentful of Lily, her indirectly causing their parents deaths was may have been the icing on the cake.
@@barbiquearea both of james parents died from dragon pox but yes they were old
It might also be the reason for hiding the Hogwarts letter from Harry cuz they didn't want to meet the same fate as her parents
Petunia actually wanted to go to Hogwarts and got jealous of her sister because she had no magic. Petunia wrote to Dumbledore and was declined. She got so jealous she started calling lily a freak. So that fan theory is far fetched if you read the books.
Fred says that love potion effects last only for 24 hours... how could Gini give love potion to Harry every day when he was out searching for the horcruxes and why would he still be in love with her during that time if it wasn't genuine love?

regarding Dumbledore letting Sirius rot in Azkaban, there's a slightly deeper theory which suggests that Dumbledore knowingly allowed James & Lily to die "for the greater good".
1) apart from Snape, Dumbledore was the only person who knew that Voldemort was after the Potters. going by his "you disgust me" line to Snape, he likely expected Voldemort to offer Lily the option to stand aside (and ofcourse he expected Lily not to do so), which is a key requirement in the love protection being activated. Dumbledore needed Voldemort to be "defeated" for a while, which means he needed Voldemort to kill Lily after Lily refused to stand aside. if James died too in the process, then so be it, it's for the greater good.
2) remember that Dumbledore borrowed the Invisibility Cloak from James shortly before the Potters' death. while the more popular (and less dark) theories say this was due to the fact that it was a Deathly Hallow (Dumbledore already had the Elder Wand at this time), this theory suggests it was to give the Potters a further hurdle in the goal of hiding themselves from Voldemort.
3) yes this theory goes really deep. it also suggests that Dumbledore Confunded Sirius into suggesting making Peter the Secret Keeper, as Dumbledore already knew Peter was the spy at that point. he needed Voldemort to know the Potters' whereabouts. without that info he might not have killed James & Lily, but he would continue to tyrannize the wizarding world throughout the 80's & 90's, which is NOT the greater good.
4) and finally (like HPT said), Dumbledore, chief warlock of the Wizengamot at the time, pulled the strings to ensure that Sirius got sent straight to Azkaban without a fair trial, all the while making it look like this was Barty Crouch Sr's decision and not his own. and ofcourse the reason for this was for Harry's safety at the Dursleys'. if Harry gets mistreated for 10yrs because of it, then so be it, it's for the greater good.
lmao the Love Potion theory is just people trying to hate on the relationship
Given how Ron was acting to the love potion spiked chocolates, love potion incites extreme obsession and abnormal behaviour

The Ginny giving Harry a love potion theory had to be coming from people who have not read the books... I understand why people would think that if they only watch the movies, but in the books Harry realizing he likes Ginny is a long process and doesn't just come out of nowhere. Also, how would Ginny have been able to give Harry a love potion while he was hunting horcruxes? She would have to keep feeding him the love potion so the effects don't wear off and that wouldn't have been possible for her do to so while she was at Hogwarts or at the Burrow and Harry being in random places in the UK.
A few days ago I finished reading the books for the second time. And it's written in a book that Harry thought and loved about Ginny while he was a only with Ron and Hermayoni

Also their children can feel love
If they were conceived under a love potion they would be like Voldemort, unable to feel love.
Harry's paternal grandparents were really old when they had his dad James. Apparently Fleamont Potter was in the same generation as Newt Scamander, meaning he and his wife would of had to been middle aged at least by the time James was born (assuming James's mother was also around the same age). This could explain why they weren't around when James and Lily was killed and Harry was left an orphan.
But wizards live a long time newt is still alive now he was on the marauder map

To anwser the questio how could Harry change his mind about Ginny: puberty
Lol
Ginny is hot.
Yeah I think people just straight up forgot all about their teenage years with that one.
Like goddamn does nobody here remember a situation where that one girl in your class started suddenly being attractive to you in 9th grade after being in same class for 3 years?
The films dont make the wesley's as cool as they were in the book but they sure give all Ron's cool parts to Hermione.
It's criminal honestly. The Weasleys were one of the more powerful of the old families, but were looked down on because of their political beliefs and Arthur's lack of ambition at the Ministry.
Bill is a certified badass. Charlie works with dragons. Fred and George invented so many new items. Percy was no slouch. Ron was a master tactician. Ginny made the Slug Club and we see she's doing well in school.
We see more of Ron's low opinion of himself and him lamenting the family status and wealth compared to other families which skew our opinions of them as whole, but we also see he's dead wrong.
Harry didn't fall for Ginny, "quite suddenly." He literally grew up with her, and had many reasons to be attracted to her over the years. It's not sudden; his eyes were opened to who she was, and what she meant to him, over the course of years.
Ginny simply acted as herself, with all she had been through, and Harry saw her as she was.
To quote Dumbledore: "it was old magic...something I should have foreseen...love, Harry. Love."
Well said. Even though I preferred pairing Harry with Hermione, I agree that Harry's feelings for Ginny grew quite naturally, and believably, in the books.
He also broke up with Giny before leaving hogwarts to go after the horcruxes. If he was took a love potion he'd never do that.
@@HenriqueLFonseca I 100% agree!!!
Isn’t that line by Voldemort? While Harry is standing on the bones of Tom’s father, he explains how he truly lost his powers;

Yes! Not to mention the fact that Rowling clearly establishes the existence of magic and events and places in the magical world that does not concern Harry. I mean, even the first book starts out with the magical world interfering with the Dursleys before Harry is even introduced.
"It's all in Harry's head" is a poor and unfounded theory.
ikr
Fully agreed
@@ingeborgmikkelsen9078 not to mention the fantastic beasts movies, which has nothing to do with harry, and was even set before even his parents where at school
It's completely meaningless as a "theory" in any case. Given that the whole HP universe is merely a product of Rowling's imagination and has no actual real-world existence, this "theory" is just a completely arbitrary construct.
Anyone could say "it was all in Harry's head", or alternatively, that same person could say that it all happened "for real" in the HP universe. But because, in reality, it's all fiction anyway, anyone is free to impose whichever of these two narratives they choose, without changing anything essential.
It could be argued that the same holds true for any fan theories (anything that's not mentioned in canon), but there's a difference between the other theories mentioned here, which concern actual (albeit fictitious) events, and this one, which just concerns the stage upon which these events are imagined to play out.
Don't know if this makes sense to anyone reading: I know what I'm trying to say, but it's difficult to put into words.
My biggest issue with the love potion theory is that I feel like it was made by someone who never read the books. The progression of their relationship is much more obvious if you read the books.
The love potion only lasts 24 hours, so that was out the window anyway.
Also children born to a love potion are unable to feel love and their children in the epilogue seem perfectly normal.
What would be considered a normal muggle death between 1971 and 1981..... A car accident.

@@DaBellOfDaBeets He had the imagination to make up all the insane things in the book, the lore, the spells and names, histories of people, the society, but couldn't imagine happiness and love, despite love saving him from Voldemort?
If Petunia had really seen the terror inflicted on her parents by dark wizards it explains on a deeper level why the Dursleys were so afraid of Harry learning he was a wizard and learning to use magic.
I wonder if Harry was so poorly treated by the Dursleys, who not only underfed him and neglected his needs, but also treated him like an indentured servant. Why didn't the British child protective services take Harry away? Surely any teacher at his school would have recognized just how badly this scared and skinny little boy was being treated at homes, especially when they see how his cousin Dudley who lives with him bullies him at school. This makes me assume that perhaps Dumbledore had been using magic on any muggle adults or authority figures around Harry in his childhood to not see the obvious abuse and mistreatment he was getting at home. Part of Dumbledore's intentions for letting the Dusleys give Harry such a miserable upbringing was to help him build character after all.
He went to St Brutus's. In a time when caning was allowed. I doubt anyone at a school for delinquents bothered to check how he was treated
@@danishusman7 What? No. Harry didn't go to St Brutus, Vernon and Pertunia made that up when Marge was staying at their home during the holidays to explain Harry's whereabouts for most of the year.
I'm not well versed in British law but I'm pretty certain caning or corporal punishment in schools was banned by the 1990s. And even if it was still allowed at home, I'm pretty sure the fact that he was being underfed and forced to do chores for his foster family beyond reason and sleep in a closet underneath the stairs would still make his teachers concerned for his health and wellbeing.
@@danishusman7 Dude, have you read the books? If not, read them, please. If so, reread them, please. St. Brutus' was made up by the Dursley's to explain Harry to Marge, mainly, but to their neighbors as well. Harry went to the same primary school as Dudley until Hogwarts started.

Love potions create obsession... and we seen how Ron behaved when he was under the effect of a love potion.
Or maybe if people read the book they can see how Harry's feelings for Ginny grows throughout the year, starting from small signs such as the scent of Amortentia (Ironically) which takes on the scent of things the individual likes. Harry associates the flowery scent with the Weasley house... until Ginny comes close to him in the following scene and he can smell the same scent on her.

@@futureivygirl Totally superfluous
Yeah, but the reason Ron's obsession was so bad, was because the love potion had been expired, which makes it way stronger that usual.

While it is easy to blame Dumbledore for Sirius's imprisonment, it does say in the books (I believe Goblet of Fire) that Barty Crouch Sr. sent Sirius to Azkaban without a trial.
lmao what is wrong with you HAHA he literally said that in the video you aren't giving us any new info
I hate the "imagination/dream/coma theory", it feels like such a copout because it's been applied to many works of fiction
I also theorized that Dumbledore probably had something to do with Sirius breaking out of Azkaban. Why else would he bring in Lupin just at this very moment?
I think that’s a bit reaching. It’s nothing more than a plot convenience. It’s a story after all. The only reason Sirius decided to escape was because he saw the picture of Weasleys and Scabbers (Pettigrew) on a newspaper one day, so he had something to work with to form a plan.
Harry was given the list of textbooks on his birthday which was when Sirius’ prison break took place. This means by that time Lupin was already hired and locked in his curriculum/course material.
...you do realise your Ginny theory doesn't make a lick of sense book wise, right?
Yeah, looking at Ron's reaction to love potion, and knowing theirs first kiss happened after like 4 hours of detention with Snape at Harry's return to the common room where they were celebrating the victory at quidditch... Not plausible from the beginning. Plus all the 7th book obviously ahahah
@@REVOLUTIONS51 and not just that, his whole “Harry’s crush on Ginny comes out of nowhere” argument only applies to the movies. He even mentions Harry flirting with that girl from the café, as if this wasn't a scene (and character) specifically created for the movie and doesn't feature in book canon.
@@stormborns4853 yes, it's very true, they always mention how Harry feels something wrong when sees Ginny and Dean. It's one more detail, even their first kiss, that was pretty enthusiastic and all, was "out of range" of a love potion for how it happened. The café scene is totally useless, deceptive even, It does not represent the true climate of the situation, where Harry is already hiding, is already on the watch for danger, where Dumbledore asks Harry to always have his cloak with him (it's just after Slughorn yes, but it's indicative of the situation). And in the film he's happly taking a random walk for no reason without any protection. Yes, yes, believe it ahah.

This is one of the many holes in this theory. Like, if Harry’s circumstances were so terrible that he needed to create a new reality, why would he fantasize about being tortured and enduring hardships lol.
How about this?
The Dudleys were not the kindest, smartest people in the universe, but they also lived with a HORCRUX (aka Harry!) for 10 years!
Remember what effect being around a horcrux did yo Ron, Hermione, Harry and Ginny?! Imagine already being bias about the Wizard World, and then living with Harry, the 7th horcrux all those years..?
Really, why didnt the people around harry (Ron, Hermione, Nevil etc.) act different when he is close to them? We have seen how a horcrux affects people around it, but WHY didnt it happen in this case (and Nagini's)? Is it because they are living things or something?
Sounds like a pretty good theory but the horcrux wouldve affected everyone especially the wearer, since harry wasn't very negative at the dursleys and petunia showed so much positivity and love for dudley that sort of kills that theory.
It’s different for humans tho. Remember, even Harry stressed over possibility turning into Voldemort in terms of personality in the 5th book.
Rowlings has debunked this as she herself said that Harry wasn't a real horcrux. a horcrux requires a very specific ritual to create
The Dudleys are not part of the Harry Potter Universe, friend.
As for the first theory of fetal posession, I can definitely imagine that it could originally have been the first nightmare Harry has in the Goblet of Fire. It definitely tells more of a story than the what we ended up with, so it seems likely and it could still be canon, even if it went untold.
LOVE the content. It separates me from the "bigger channels" and answers actual questions that I would ask.
I’ve always thought that part of the reason the Dursleys treated Harry so badly was because he was a horcux and the part of Voldemort’s soul that inhabited him was influencing them like the locket does to whoever wore it in Deathly Hallows
Also, the thought that Harry imagines it all…I’ve had that thought too. Like he was low key imagining it all while sitting in a mental institution.
J.K said the theory is not true
Either that or, a more sinister explanation would be that Harry's room which is in the storage cupboard beneath the stairs is near some pipes that leak gas. Usually it would be hazardous for anyone to sleep there but since the Dursleys don't give two shits about Harry, they are content to let him get high on the fumes and get become delirious as a result.
Can you even imagine if the series ended with the last line being -“Harry woke up and realised it was all a dream.”
Tragic
I would have hate that movie and wasted my time
@@tenkyuzz I mean you still would have enjoyed the books and movies! Simply that one line cannot take away all the enjoyment
There would be riots in the street. People will pull a real life Misery where they kidnap Rowling and force her to rewrite the ending
Dallas already made that mistake.
First one: Voldemort tells the Death Eaters in the graveyard that Wormtail used unicorn hair and a few other ingredients to make a temporary body for him.
Second One: Very Possible
Third One: Definitely not. The first time Harry realized he had feelings for her was before the first Quidditch match of the year. For her to slip him a love potion would be near impossible up till that point especially considering it needs to be given repeatedly to sustain the effect, and the Hermione was on the watch for anyone trying to slip Harry any potions. In addition, we do see how someone is affected by a love potion when Ron accidentally consumes one, and it is nothing like Harry's emotions the entire book. And it wasnt a permanent one like the one Slughorn displayed firstly, because the effects described are VERY different from Harry's thoughts the entire book and that isn't what Fred and George were selling. Also, that waitress scene never actually happened in the book, it was randomly added. In addition, it doesnt make sense that his feelings wouldve continued throughout the entire seventh book while he was away from everyone else if he was being fed a love potion.
Fourth One: This is interesting but I doubt it. The reason Dumbledore didnt vouch for Sirius like he did Snape is because he believed Sirius betrayed them. Everyone did, because nobody except for Lily and James knew about the switch. The Ministry didnt give trials to everyone, and the crime he was sentenced for was killing 12 muggles and a wizard, not betraying the Potters (as Fudge said, very few people knew about that). Dumbledore believing Sirius had betrayed the Potters played into him not vouching for a trial.
Fifth One: Oof... that one is just dark. However, there are a few things. One, Harry isn't the narrator and there are many scenes that happened while he was not there and that even after "The Prince's Tale" was never made aware of. Secondly there's the fact that its mentioned in the first book the times Harry has unintentionally used magic in the past and more importantly, robed strangers recognizing him. But you could say even then he created all that. Here's the fundamental problem though:
Why would things play out the way they did if it was his imagination? Why would he suffer so much, why would he make it so unbearable, why would he put himself through more trauma than the Dursleys ever had, and why did he create everything in "Order of the Phoenix" where everyone either wont believe him because he's been propogandasized as a liar or is too overprotective and possessing of him? Why would he make himself go through tragedy and death after death of people he cares about to somehow... make himself feel better than he was at the Dursleys? That doesn't make sense.
Harry IS the narrator.
Why do a lot of people fantasize? In order to become a hero In Harry's case.
@@AdrianPothead BRO HAVE YOU READ THE BOOKS!?!?!?!?!?!?! HARRY ISNT THE NARRATOR OMG OMG OMG KILL ME NOW ITS WRITTEN IN THIRD PERSON, LIKE "Harry woke up feeling very tired" OR "Ron, Hermione and Harry all went down to Hagrids" BRO WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU WHY WOULD YOU SPEAK BEFORE READING THE BOOKS? OR ARE YOU SOME 2ND GRADER WITH NO KNOWLEDGE ON POINT OF VIEWS? WHY DO YOU HAVE TO ANGER US LIKE THAT?!!?!!?!?!!?!?!?!?!!??
@@brianabc83 But I feel like all of that is just too much to fantasise. Also, how would he age and know how he looks in the future, and in the 8th book, he has all this stuff, like a wife, kids and stuff like that. You mean he was under the dursleys shelter for 40 years and being abused like that, so he kept on making stuff up? Bro, it makes no sense
The "Its all in his head" theory is the one i hate above all others.
Keep seeing this "Sirius was not trialed" point. Its already stated that they introduced a law which allowed Aurors to kill death eaters and also allow death eaters to be imprisoned without trial.
My very favorite of the dark theories is your #1. I totally accept that Voldemort's new body was made from the unborn child of Bertha Jorkins!
The love potion one really works if you’re only going off the films. In the books, their relationship is a lot more fleshed out.
the final one is actually truly impressive and makes a lot of sense, because I feel like creating a story with himself being the center of attention (the boy who lived) whose name is known to everyone, re-writing the accident of his parents into a brave last stand in his mind and so on and so on feels just like the story someone in that situation would craft, it actually feels worse when you think about him growing up and still doing it as an 18yo and older though, while thaz would explain the plot twists and story overall becoming more complicated and grim after year 4/5
I just feel like it’s an easy cop out. This could be said about literally any series. Naruto, Batman, ect.
Plus his life at Hogwarts was still pretty brutal lol. I don’t think he’d fantasize about enduring such painful hardships lol
The darkest theory I have about HP is regarding the "boy who lived".
There is something about Voldemort that makes him unique even in the wizarding world. He tried to get further on the path to immortality than any other wizard. The reason for the multiple horcruxes was to be able to cross the path to true immortality. Sacrificing all the horcruxes and a wizard that you mark as an equal may lead you down a path to true immortality.
When Harry walks to voldemort and dies the spell is over and he sacrificed his mortality. He returns as a true master of death.
Voldemort is forced to face death and begone forever but Harry gave up his chance to die and greet death as an old friend.
He will continue to live, watching all his loved ones slowly fade away and as he becomes older and time begins to move faster, it will appear to him as if people are born and die within minutes.
He will forever be the boy who lives.
Harry, “Professor, is my entire life real? Or is all this is my own imagination?”
Dumbledore, “Of course it’s real. But this (limbo) is all inside your head.”
I’m pretty sure dumbledore said the exact opposite in the books.
Harry : Professor, is this really happening? Or is it all inside my head?
Dumbledore: Of course it’s all happening inside your head Harry. But why on earth should that mean, that it’s not real?
@@GabrielGonzalez-un7rx exactly
@@GabrielGonzalez-un7rx yes!

One of the darker ones is Fawkes being Dumbledore's horcrux after he killed Ariana.
1. Dumbledore does a lot of research and turns every stone to find what are Voldemort's horcruxes, but figures Nagini is a horcrux by the simple fact that Voldemort is very fond of and has a lot of control over her (the issue is settled in literally one sentence in the books). This fact is exactly true about Dumbledore and Fawkes. Plus Dumbledore figures this out so fast and is sure of it because he knows a lot about this type of connection.
2. Dumbledore's weird control over Fawkes in a) chamber of secrets where Fawkes does a lot of unexplainable stuff. b) end of the goblet of fire when Fawkes unnecessarily heals Harry's hand when Dumbledore is feeling sad for him. c) many occasions in the 5th book where Fawkes stands guard over Umbridge, delivers messages and ultimately jumps in front of the killing curse to save Dumbledore. Here the part of soul inside the pheonix is destroyed and after that you don't see any weird stuff from Fawkes.
3. Harry's wand has a pheonix feather, it is specifically mentioned to be Fawkes' feather. Therefore Harry is carrying a piece of Dumbledore. This explains all the weird stuff Harry's wand can do that even Olivander can't explain. This part of the soul is destroyed when Harry's wand breaks.
4. This one is the most farfetched one but also something that explains a lot of stuff. Voldemort's wand also had a part of Dumbledore's soul as a pheonix feather, but this part also latched onto Harry along with the piece of Voldemort's soul when the killing curse rebounded from him as a baby. We meet this part when things are happening inside "Harry's own head" in the end of book seven. Inside him is a part of Voldemort which is sick and deformed because he has hated it and a part of Dumbledore which he has nurtured over the years and answers all the questions. If this was not a piece of Dumbledore there is no other explanation about the massive amount of info Harry had in his own head. When Harry wakes up this part of Dumbledore is also destroyed along with the part of Voldemort's soul.
No.5 is just Heartbreaking and the darkest thing I’ve ever heard
I always thought Aunt Petunia's attitudes and abilities fit better with being a Squib than with being Muggle. She knows what a Dementor is, she knows what the Death Eaters are capable of, she is extremely jealous of Lilly. How can she transmit protection to Harry if she is completely un-magical?
The term squib is specifically referring to individuals born of magical parents that has no magic. Petunia was born to muggle parents so not a squib. But given that Lily came home for 7 years and told of her adventures in school and potentially stayed in contact during the 1st War, it's very likely that she shared a lot with her family.
Are we so sure Petunia's parents were straight Muggle and neither was a Squib passing as Muggle?
Petunia's jealousy was extreme even before her temper could be excused because she was living with a horcrux. The facts fit both scenarios, I just find the Squib theory more fun.
Its literally mentioned in the books that living with the Dursleys kept Harry safe up until he became 17.
One of my favorite headcanons is that Harry Potter's mom's sacrifice means it is her spirit within him that protects Harry. It also would mean she wouldn't leave a ghost. Meaning that "Lily's ghost" in Deathly Hallows is actually *Snape's* ghost, but feeling shy and out of place, he takes on a shape he prefers to his own that he knows extremely well and has missed all these years..
*Always.*
Ooooohhhhhh
That last part about Harry making all of this up actually would make for a great movie on it's own. . .
Great video the dumbledore and sirius theroy and harry's imagination were the darkest for me i read a theroy that Dementors can sniff out Harry's extra soul
I also read that theory. I was waiting for someone else to being it up. It makes so much sense when you think about how many horrible acts Voldy was a part of. It would be like dumping an entire gallon of bacon juice on your head then walking around bear/wolf country. You are bound to be attacked
IMO the darkest one is Voldemort possessing a fetus (or even a baby that didn't belong to Bertha), because it's the most plausible one. Second would be Dumbledore allowing Sirius to be imprisoned "for the greater good" because we know he has made some utilitarian decisions in the past without regard for the lives of those impacted--he admits as much to Harry more than once.
My favorite HP Dark theory is, Dark Dumbledore, he deliberatly reduces the education in the school, to better controll them, every orphan will get a "loan" he will have to repay, he will be the magical guardion of everybody until they come of age and can decide over their fate as such. He let voldemort run free on purpose to be able to "save" the world of him. He throws his school children into deathly situation each year on purpose,He lets Snape be a Teacher so less people pick potions in NEWT so there are less Aurors and his order of Phoenix has more influence and the most important one, Dumbledore cast the DADA curse himself so they don`t have a steady teacher to surpass him in the future and fight dark lords.
Nice. I like this. And I can actually get behind it. When you scratch the surface of his character, a lot of this is quite plausible.
I've hated Dumbledore for years. He's always been a "the ends justify the means" type of character. Those people are despicable. I don't know that he was an evil mastermind, but he's definitely one that is playing the long game and refuses to tip his hand.

I like the idea of Ginny giving Harry the love potion. After all, he starts to fall in love with her after the Weasley's open their store. And he never did feel anything for her before, unlike Hermione and Ron who have always had tension between them. It just never made sense to me. If anything, the movies seemed to push that he had more of a connection with Luna than anyone else. But for some reason JK Rowlings wants the Weasley's to be related to nearly everyone.
is does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live
i love that quote
i actually really like the theory about lily’s parents dying by death eaters, it could be why petunia acts like the wizarding world doesn’t exist. she acted as far away from it as possible to keep her family safe because everyone in her family were killed by death eaters
Keep cranking these things outb
If there were so many love potions floating around…and a love potion resulted in Voldemort being born, how come there aren’t more of him out there? Please explain!
There probably are but his circumstances only made him worse,
I assume among the many dark witches and wizards that joined the Death Eaters and committed atrocities in Voldemort's name were some bad seeds conceived as a result of a love potion.
Yes there will be possibly several others, Leta Lestrange in the Fantastic Beasts is an example, she was conceived through a similar manner(Imperius curse tho, not love potion). But why she didn't turn a dark path, is like wt Dumbledore says "It's not our abilities that define us, but our choices"
I don't think the love potion itself is the reason Voldemort is the way he is, so much as the circumstances of his life and the choices he made in response to those circumstances.
Dumbledore could've just bailed Serious out and hide him somewhere less hostile that prison
seriously :)
Remember the Wizard Worlds reporting of the Sirius breakout, and later, the assumption that the big dark wizard breakout (including Belatrix) was orchestrated by Sirius (albeit this latter assumption might be down to the Ministers frantic denial of the truth).
It might have been difficult for Dumbledore to contradict such a weight of assumed guilt if the entire society and Ministry were sure Sirius was quilty, not without a significant loss of reputation. Especially if it might jeopardise his grand plan.
Why? dumbledore thaught sirius was guilty. Why would he free sirius?
@@Azrael4Real did you even watch the video? Dumbledore was not entirely sure if Sirius was guilty and he surely would have requested a trial for him.
@@arjavjain7229 The video only talks about dark fan theories, not thing which are trje. In this case dumbledore letting sirius rot in jail. Which is just not truth, so the threory doesnt hold up. Sure dumbledore let sirius be in jail but it was because he thaught, like anybody else, sirius was guilty. There was no reason for dumbledore to think sirius wasnt guilty. Only sirius, peter, lily and james knew about the switch. If there was anyone who would think sirius wasnt guilty it would be lupin. Who even till the moment he saw peters name on the map in PoA thought sirius was guilty.
The last Theory, combined with background music, almost broke my heart 😭
What comes across to me from the films *and* the books is that the Wizarding World is rather more cruel. Justice is far more ruthless and life is rather more harsh in many ways. So Dumbledore being more "heartless" fits that situation.
They seem only plausible for movie fans, who never opened even one of the books, as the books easily debunk those theory: 1. In the Goblet of Fire, Voldemort talks extensively about his years in exile and explains that the temporary body was made magically by Wormtail, with venom from Nagini and other not awfully disgusting ingredients. 2. That might be the only plausible theory, as the Death Eathers probably targeted the families of Order of the Phoenix Members. 3. The romance might appear sudden to movie fans, but Harry and Ginny were a lot closer in the books ever since The Order of the Phoenix and him starting to like her was gradual and well-descripted in The Half-Blood Prince, not just dropped out of nowhere. Plus when Harry starts to like her, she is happily dating Dean Thomas. 5. This one is really infuriating, as the books extensively explain how it was Barty Crouch Sr who sent Sirius to Azkaban with no trial, like several others. Dumbledore was influent, but not all-powerful. All seven books depict his relationship with the Ministery of Magic as strained in most instances, he had no power over this decision, and certaintly had no idea Sirius was innocent to begin with. 6. That could apply to virtually every fantasy novel starring a mistreated orphan.
How could Harry become infatuated with Ginny so quickly?
Answer: because he’s a male.
Because he’s a teenage male
Book or movie this is the best answer.
Because he’s the protagonist
@@hi12345613 yeah cheers. Thought so
@@hirumaiya well Ginny isn’t exactly the leading lady. By your logic, harry should have ended up with Hermione.
I think ‘because he’s a teenage human’ explains why he can quickly fall for someone else (even though it took about 3 or 4 months in harry time)
Yeah want to bang her as a teenage male .. but then go on to marry her? He must of loved her to some degree ...

I didn’t know Star Wars theory was British! This channel is awesome.
Idk how the last one could be true though with the fantastic beast story’s were before his time
Given how difficult Rowling found it to kill off characters, it’s unlikely that she would have written the books from the perspective of Harris imagination

I don’t think it’s even a theory that Dumbledore knew Sirius was innocent but let him rot in Azkaban anyways…it makes so much sense when explained that I basically consider it as canon.
Read the books and you will know that dumbledore thought sirius was guilty. He didnt knew sirius and peter switches places as secret keeper.
in the book a spell is cast so that only peter pettigrew could reveal harry's location when asked (physically impossible for anyone else) and this was only known by james lily peter and sirius. pettigrew was believed to be dead, so he thought it was sirius.
What? There is no evidence that Dumbledore knew Sirius was innocent. None.
New theory. Harry realizes he’s in love with Ron but Ron is married to Hermione so he marries Ron’s sister.
The dream theory is kinda dismissed by the existence of the prequel Fantastic Beasts (and it's for the best, imagine after reading all 7 books, the last line of the last page is "and Harry woke up inside his cupboard under the stairs, hearing aunt Petunia banging at the door" 😭😭
The first one sounds like something that would appear in Nasu Kinoko's works. The concept would fit seemlessly into a Tsukihime or Fate story. Now I want a crossover fanfic lol

9:35 why does it looks like a album cover or smth lol
Maybe the Voldemort fetus theory was true in earlier drafts, but in Goblet of Fire Voldemort gives a huge explanation to the Death Eaters on what happened the last 13 years
He explained that after Quirrel, he went back to the same area and still possessed animals. And that coincidentally Wormtail had been on the run and while in rat form, he found suspicious activity where other rats warned him not to go because they noticed others would mysteriously disappear
So because someone FINALLY found Voldemort he had someone who could produce magic(since he could not without a wand) to make him a temporary body that could at least help him travel easier in the meantime while he conjured up his plan to fully restore his body. This new body was kept alive with a potion mixed with unicorn blood and venom from Nagini
Also it in hindsight references what has become of Voldemort’s soul and what he becomes in the afterlife
The imagination theory is, even it is pretty debunked after the last book, still the dumbest theory at all. Not only in Harry Potter, but as a concept for theories in literature and movies.
The movies and books aren't real, in this reality. Why would an author put this extra layer of imagination in his books, not to mention without mentioning it.
"It all was a dream" is a nice concept for shocking moments, when used in short moments or chapters, but not for a whole franchise.
I don't think Dumbledore knew Sirius was innocent.
He thought Sirius was the save keeper of the house of Lily and James. And by betraying them and deceiving Dumbledore by this, Sirius must have been, according Dumbledore, an excellent legimens.
So going to Azkabann to try to interrogate an legimens was useless for Dumbledore, especially giving someone so much attention who betrayed him so badly.
But more importantly; the people who created this theory forget the Dementors. Dumbledore would be evil if he so easily condemned an innocent friend, ally, member of the order and former pupil to the Dementors for 12plus years.
If he knew Sirius would be innocent, Dumbledore could have created a Grimauld place 2.0, with Hogwarts level of protection.
Didn't dumbledore groom harry for death? No way he could've predicted Voldy would use Harry's blood, keeping his mother's love protection spell & thus Harry alive once Voldy Avada Kedavra's him?
It's said they didn't tell Dumbledore that they switched Secret Keepers. Dumbledore and Lupin both believed Sirius was the Secret Keeper and that's damning evidence against him. And neither expected Sirius to take the cowards way out and switch.
It's also stated clearly that exposure to Dementors will drain a Wizard of his powers. At what rate and level is unknown. I could easily see Legilimency not being effective in the presence of Dementors. Dumbledore may not have been able to go interrogate Sirius to any great effect.
If we go with the assumption Dumbledore was aware, the safest place for Sirius is locked up. If he's out and about, he's going to be hated by the wizarding world and the Death Eaters will still be after him. He's in a no win situation on the outside. The word of Dumbledore means a lot, but I don't think it overrides 12 eye witnesses saying Sirius killed Peter. For Dumbledore, it's better to have Sirius alive in prison than dead or in hiding. He can get him out later if he needs him and that's in Dumbledore's character to use people like that.
i like the last theory especially when we know that voldemort by J.k meant flying death and that is why he thought he survived the killing curse, and killing curse could just be headlights of upcoming car, and he was afraid that what killed his parents could kill him.
This one actually gave me chills I never really looked at Harry Potter and that way job well done.....
the last one sent chills down my spine
and then i remembered
in chamber of secrets
harry asked hedwig
"who am i, hedwig? what am i?"
perfectly well knowing he was a wizard...
...right?
in the books it's explained that Voldemort was conceived under the influence of love potion. His mother used it on his father and basically drugged him and had sex with him. For that reason Voldemort was not able to feel or understand love, and he was born essentially a sociopath. And it stated , love potion has to be consumed regularly. Imagine the irony if Ginny really had used a love potion on him. He would be father to another Voldemort :D
Why didn’t Harry and ginnies kids come out evil then?
I also wonder if Nagini's venom used by Voldemort passed on the Maledictus blood curse to Voldemort, slowly changing him into a snake... and would have destroyed Voldemort eventually when he could no longer turn back..
I heard another theory actually, that Petunia and Lily’s parents died in a car crash, hence why that’s the story she told Harry, it’s what sticks out to her as a possible death for parents
The last one is too dark man
theory 4 is false, Dumbledore just didnt know that Sirius was innocent
I am still mad that Dumbledore haven't tried to know what happened with Sirius. ☠️
Video idea: the unknown powerful. Whitches and wizards you dont expect to hold power, eg nevil
The last one is so overdone my eyes are always trying to roll themselves out of my head when I hear it. Having it all be just a dream or in someone's head is a cliché that's been done thousands upon thousands of times and was never that great in the first place.
The show called The Magicians even made fun of this specific trope by having an episode where the main character is stuck in a nightmare where he has woken up in a mental instution, put there because his depressed mind started imagining that he's a wizard.
What if the reason why Dumbledore didn't free Sirius and let Sirius take guardianship for is because he didn't have Lily's protective charm on him to keep Harry safe, only Aunt Petunia did.
That's indeed the reason, according this theory.
One of the darkest I have heard is Umbridge being violated by the centaurs at the end of 5.
Sounds brutal
