I think that’s Chris on the first chorus and then Ricky the other two times cuz the vocals are cleaner sounding on those choruses compared to the first

Glad to hear Chris' screams are getting much better and varied, I have to admit the more I listen to their newer stuff the more I realise they've gotten better with age (not that their old stuff is bad, they've just matured into their own sound/style)
If I recall correctly as well, Chris has said in alot of past interviews he enjoys doing different vocal ranges of screams to keep things interesting, if he did the same vocal scream every song he would get bored. Or something along those lines. This was from an interview years back

Chris’s screams are amazing! His singing is no different! Miw have made their name heard in metalcore imo and have a unique style. A noteworthy achievement!

Ok, thought I was losing it. I was like, there's no feature, but that doesn't sound like chris.. xD
Honestly, I don't like it. Like, his voice isn't bad, but it's really generic and it's kind of taking away from the magic they established with having Chris doing all of the vocals. I appreciate them for not being afraid of trying something new but so far the execution is making them sound less like themselves and more like a lot of bands we've already heard come and go while MIW has stayed thriving.
@@mechanicalhorus4505 that's fair enough. I personally really enjoy his voice, thus my reaction upon hearing it on this track. He actually sings a lot in their live shows but very rarely in recordings so i just found it to be a nice touch.

@@ludens1472 there was not a single soft song in disguise, except maybe catharsis. We all got used to extreme heavy shit to the point that we think that the most of disguise is soft, but regular people see it as heavy and can't listen to it because of this.

My comment was not a blow on disguise since I really like that album but we can accept that it was softer. It was more hard rock with metal elements rather than a pure metal core album.
I'm not a metal elitist who thinks heavy = good, soft = shit. I care more about if I really like the song or not. There are some soft songs that I dislike by bands and some heavy songs by the same band which I also dislike.
Simply saying, if you thought I was hating on disguise, nope I was not. Just stating that in disguise, the three mentioned were the only ones that were metal(maybe the titular song disguise too, instrumental wise)

Yeah. The reason I fell in love with this band is how many different techniques Chris uses. Like having 6 vocalists in one singer. Love Ricky to death but actually using another vocalist kinda kills that.

I prefer Chris' heavy voice, it's the reason I started listening to MIW in the first place. This song is still great though. It's nice to hear new MIW

It is a crime that this song is not included in the new album :( in my opinion it is WAY better than all the other singles released for the album. Timebomb is heavy and has a HUGE chorus and breakdown.

It is criminal how underappreciated this band still is.
This is one of the most Metalcore tracks I’ve heard from them. It’s fuckin amazing. MIW usually has their style of heavy that everyone knows them for, but this leans into Wage War territory and I’m fuckin HERE FOR IT!

@@canexfex5325 Precisamente Graveyard Shift junto a Reincarnate son los álbumes que menos se parecen a lo primero, sin embargo en Disguise, bajo mi punto de vista volvió esa esencia de The Whorror y Creatures, dices que los Screams a partir de Disguise son malos? Creo que le tienes que dar un par de escuchadas más... Tienen una madurez y una técnica impresionante.

I just listened I love it ! I love the rhythm of the guitar playing and the spontaneous beat from the drum playing. I love the creativity of this song . After listening to motionless in white for over 7 years , this song was completely different and it sounds amazing . I’m glad they took a lot of time with there music it’s totally worth it!

The lyrics hit me so fucking hard. Literally, I spent seven fucking years of my fucking life with a girl who just played with me. I have tried to grow as a person; I got a very good job; I started to go to the gym; I have expressed my deep feelings to her; and finally, she just used me as a toy for a very long time. Even when I tried to help her with her problems and give her a chance to be a part of my life, She threw me away like trash. I was very stupid, very very stupid, and now I see myself and how far I've come in my life. While I was thinking on her, sometimes I think: If I would think on myself instead of her, how far would I have come? I have no words for the pain that I suffered all this years, but this song helped me get all those feelings out and just try to overcome that stage of my life. Lol someone likes hard rock that wants to be metalcore. It’s basically metalcore for the radio and that’s fine they can do whatever they want but you saying that just means this is the motionless sound you prefer. I prefer WLMD and Creatures. Some of the best albums ever made and can never be topped.
I prefer their new stuff tbh to their old stuff but creatures is a great album.
Also (a bit off topic ik) I hate how some metalcore fans as soon as a band goes a little bit less heavy they call em sell outs. SMH.
