My friends give each other 2/3 item list of makeup smellies food we want for Christmas. It's never very expensive 🫰. That way we get what we want and we don't have to spend money on products that no one wants. I get genuinely excited 😆.

I am going to be doing a no buy year for 2024. I recently wanted a new blush as I haven't found one I really love so this time I bought a trial size instead of full size so that I know I will use it up before it goes bad.
That's such a good idea. I might start doing that too when I'm trying new products :)
Wow! My mind is blown, you did a great job! I'm starting a no/low spend on January 1 and part of that will be using up what I have and decluttering. I hope I make as much progress. What feels the most different to you? The money you save? Less clutter? Less urge to spend? All of these would be good.....:)
Ooh that’s amazing! I think the biggest change for me is in my attitude towards buying stuff. I used to buy so much without even thinking about it. I couldn’t resist a sale! Now I’m really intentional about what I buy and I feel so much better for it ☺️

I'm not one for beauty stuff.... I don't wear makeup or use hair products (besides shampoo/conditioner) but I do pay attention to my skincare. This year I was less than $200 for hygiene/beauty/hair/skincare. I did do a big The Ordinary order in November 2022 so I am still working through that which helped keep my 2023 spending low.
2022 & 2023 were low buy years for me and I am planning another low buy for 2024 (replacement only). All the money saved went towards the downpayment on a house!

Try the new simple cream foaming cleanser with ceramides in the green and white bottle it's fabulous 8.99 but usually has a third off in superdrug or boots, u will need and oil or balm for waterproof mascara but anything else it removes and leaves skin so soft and hydrated, you only need a tiny amount or you will be rinsing for days 😂 x

Ive just started using a solid conditioner bar for the first time i must admit im struggling with it, and if you have any tips to make it easier to use i would love them. I dont think ill get a solid conditioner bar again thou 🙈
It’s a hard transition! I find it helps to work in sections a couple of inches thick. First, I soak the hair in water. The wetter the better! Then I sandwich the hair between my hands (with the conditioner bar in one hand) and work it through towards the ends in a kind of rubbing motion. I do that, section by section and then brush it through using my Wet Brush. It’s more effort than a liquid conditioner but for me the results have been worth it. I hope that helps ☺️
