Out of all BTS members, V's solo songs are the most different from the group. He prefers slow jams and old school vibes. His debut album LAYOVER is a mix of jazz, lo-fi and RnB.

It means when you're alone, all you notice is other people's happiness. But when you're happy, you don't care abt what's happening around. The ending means it's important to love yourself whether you're single or not.

V is one of the more quirky members and is very cheeky. He tends to a very smooth jazzy R&b vibe. I really appreciate how on brand for him it is to be very inclusive. The representation was ages, races, genders, sexuality, and even heights. I live for the two older waitresses, so adorable. But it felt naturally inclusive not forced. Messages like to love yourself too. Don’t get so caught up in your bubbles you miss things happening in the world around you.

V is an artist and he is also a great actor. I can’t remember if you reacted to IU’s music video Love Wins All. V didn’t sing in it, but acted in that video as she asked him to. He is so diverse and an all around entertainer

All the solos are really good. I love everyone. They reflect each person’s unique style. Look forward to your reaction to Suga’s solo.
V has a great laid back jazzy vibe to his style. He is an old soul! You could check out Le Jazz de V, a video on the Bangtan YT channel, it was a Festa (anniversary) gift to the fans. And as others have mentioned, his album Layover is a great vibe, with 4 MVs (tho "For Us" is sort of a behind-the-scenes of the others, so I wouldn't start with that one - watch Love Me Again, Slow Dancing, and Blue first). He has some OSTs and a sweet song Winter Bear too.
And Rainy Days! For Us is my favorite but love the whole album 🥰

When you are alone it seems for you that everyone around you is happy and in love and you feel lonely. When you are in love, no matter what happens around you, you are happy. But, you'll never be entirely happy if you don't love yourself.
Everyone has their own interpretation of what this means. We won't know until v says.
this clip was a surprise to us since he is currently serving in the military but apparently he left us content and music to enjoy while he is serving.
The clip is up for different interpretations, it can be taken as life will always be the same but it is your perspective that matters, it can also be taken as you need to drop toxic relationships in your life since that friend is leading him on with how she acts while keeping it under the friends label and at the end he is scolding himself with the “yaah” at the end to snap out of it.
It can be also taken as representation of idols’ lives, where the have to be alone so fans be content, while they really don’t care even when he is bleeding on the road, they still carry on with their lives, and when he is in relationship everyone is angry and unhappy and STILL don’t care about him dying and focusing on fighting among themselves.
It can be taken in many ways, that’s how art is 🔥💜

Taehyung aka V he has all the ideas of his mv and everything he does he is creative that way, Taehyung sings all genre of music, his debut album Layover is RnB, Soul and Jazz as you can tell he has soulful vocals, so check his albums also check his other solo songs Singuoa d Stigma you love his music it isn’t like most Kpop music, it is different.
His layover album he did Tiny desk Korea check that out then you will know real Taehyung music, he hs real musician and plays most instruments in the group.
Taehyung is the only soulful singer in the group.

Ahh nice thought there. It is def an easy, enjoyable listen.
I've often wondered how much input they have in the music videos, and from the behind the scenes videos it sounds like they don't always know what's going on. They sometimes have information about what's happening that we don't, because they've been given some exposition as direction, but most of the time it seems like there is a team working on the storyboards, sets, costumes etc and BTS will show up and do as asked, which is fair enough because they have a lot to do anyway. I know that they get a certain amount of input in things like "I want to have a fake piercing" or "I want to wear these glasses" or they're given a few moments to improvise. They also get to watch the footage back and make sure they're happy with how they look and their performance, and can request another take if they feel they need it. I know that Jungkook was more heavily involved in the Life Goes On MV, because he enjoys videography and shows a talent for it.
Some info about this MV: it is set in the UK. That's an old Routemaster bus, they were retired from circulation in London a while back, but it really matches V's retro vibe. I think he has those old crappy sponge headphones on as well, and I wouldn't be surprised if they were connected to an old Walkman.
While watching the making of video my partner was like "hold up"... turns out one of the extras in the back of the diner is his colleague! I'm jelly lol.
The song kinda reminds me of my guy, we were friends for over a decade before we got together. It's not even my record lol I knew one guy for 20 years before we started dating! I think that relationships that start as friendships are the best because there's a foundation of trust and respect there.

The concep is really easy to understand, Taehyung is in love with a fri if many years he wants to confess his feelings, he is afraid it would be the end of the friendship for good or bad which causes him this nightmares he dreams he dies but u. Two different ways, at the end he has to live with his iwn decisions therefore two Taehyung appear, the love yourself concept cone to mind. Obviously is all in character mode, not in real life
I really like your interpretation of V’s song. I’ve watched the making of this MV that was released already. V doesn’t give much details except that it is a love song and he hopes ARMY will like it. He did also say somewhere that this song was supposed to be in his solo album Layovers, but he didn’t finish it in time. My interpretation is that it’s not a dream. It’s showing 2 different sides as you said wanting to be with someone who you want to take the friends to the next level except he shows 3 things. 1. If you are alone, it could be the perspective that everyone around you is happy and he takes it to the extreme, 2. That if your with that person, you don’t notice or people seem less happy and takes it to the extreme, 3. He’s next to himself so ultimately you also have to love yourself. Because V has a unique way of doing some of his MV, I think he made it more like a black satire and sends his messages and however we interpret it, is how we see it. Maybe you’ll get time to watch the making of the MV on your own. V does love jazz and R&B so his solo album is more like this. I also like RM’s Seoul. Some of us call RM the president, or Suga the Savage, but all are really loving. I can’t remember if I was unable to comment on your reaction to BTS guide, so all I will add is that Suga is sometimes called Minstradamus bc every time he said he hoped for something to happen, it did. He’s also sometimes called the Grandpa of the group because he sits and enjoys seeing his members happy, but I also think because when he says something, it means something important and he is wise. V has an old soul, and Suga too but in a completely different way. I love them all! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🇨🇦🫶🏼👏👏👏
