the battle of kursk is mostly tank against tank and plenty of artillery bombardments done by both side, not much infantry hand to hand fighting was mentioned on accounts of kursk veterans
absolutely gripping... especially the opening scenes..the weapons and uniforms are very authentic and the close quarters combat vicious and well filmed. I really enjoyed it...up until the music came in for some reason it just doesn't fit well. Some of the plot line is a little contrived to help the tension build; for example .no German unit and especially the Waffen SS would show up to assault a position with their MG's unloaded...just saying.

This looks like some good early soviet campaign reenactment. I noticed a guy at 0:53 has a shield award. Mixed with the panzer 4 with sideskirts, and the boffors aa gun. I assume this takes place in 1942-43. But some things makes me feel like it takes place earlier. Like the wide usage of mg34's by the germans, stick mags for the ppsh41's
Great observations but I would say this likely takes place in late 1943- early 1944 as the amount of camouflage uniforms in use with this group of German troops is abnormally high even for formations such as Luftwaffe Field Divisions, Fallschirmjager or Waffen SS Troops. The use of the later SSH40 style helmets by Soviet troops and the numbers in which they are equipped also Implies to me that these Red Army troops are of a later date. Had this taken place earlier the Soviet troops would've likely been sporting higher numbers of the antiquated SSH36 Helmets.

Outside of that the action is good but tactics a little odd from both sides. But that's easily forgiven because of the disorganised nature from the attack. Also the panzer 4 is painted in 40-42 colours wich is a little odd for it having sideskirts
