I made my first template today with a bunch of attributes and it works fine in the drawing that I created it in but after I saved it as a .dwt and inserted it into the page layout of another drawing none of the attributes came with it as far as I can tell. When I double click the block it just opens the "Edit Block Definitions" window. Any ideas?

As usual, great another great video! I did have one question. I bought the fundamentals course and began using your templats. However, whenever I went to print any of them, the edges would always get cut off. I had to go into all of them (letter, legal, ledger, and Arch D) to adjust the "edges" so my drawings were not getting cut off. Did I do something wrong when downloading, setting up, printing, etc...?

Hey Mitch, Thanks! And thank you for taking the course and the question! I believe the templates we make in the course had a 1/4" or 1/2" margin/buffer around the outside of the sheet which tends to work without cutting anything off on many pdfs/printers but margins do typically have to be adjusted or taken into account when making the templates since many printers and even different print settings vary so much. I definitely don't think you did anything wrong and am glad you were able to get it adjusted to work for yours!

When I add my company logo to a template, sometimes it doesnt show up when I add that template to another file. Does the dwt and png have to be located with the dwg file so it can reference them?

      Hi Robert,
The image and dwt shouldn't need to be located in the same location as your drawing, but you will want to make sure the image if it's inserted as an xref has "full path" option selected when you add it to your template instead of relative, since the relative folder will change depending where you save each new drawing, but full path should keep it consistent so you don't lose the link. An image can also be add into the drawing using a few methods, including as an ole object which then don't rely on a path.
Thanks for watching and the comment, hopefully that helps!
      Cheers,
      Brandon

Hi guys, how to make Model Space and Layout Space always look like a "Print Preview"?
-this way we can always see the actual output - without always going to Print Setting to preview how it looks
