QUICKEST AUDI RS3 IN EUROPE - 8.86 @ 157MPH

- David Henderson from DH Automotive finally got his 1000BHP Audi RS3 into the 8's at the VW Action Show at Santa Pod Raceway in the UK. After months of running 9.0 after 9.0, he managed 4 runs in the 8's, with a PB of 8.86 at 157mph.
As far as I know the only other RS3 in Europe in the 8's is the Ecotune car, and I think they have done it twice with separate drivers. An 8.95 and an 8.94 (not 100% sure). Dave Lee has managed an 8.941 in his RS3 powered Mk7 Golf R. Harvey from Throttle Motors is also getting closer with a 9.20, in their RS3.

Looked slow of the line too on his best run. Nail the start and the time would have been even more incredible.

How it possible to burnout on only front axle with quattro?

You can programme it to turn off the rear haldex, and just put drive through the front. I think it switches the hazard lights on as well, to let you know its disabled. Seeing as the RS3 starts off with 85% of power going to the front wheels, that's why you warm just the front tyres.
@@VeeDubRacing yep, of course. I've forget for a moment, that rs3 use Haldex not Torsen.

I always use track times for my records. I know there is a huge draggy data base, I use it as well. Have to stick to my rules :) 8.7 is quick though.
Pierre has one fast rs3. He’s told me it won’t be long till he’s at the track. I’m sure he will succeed in going faster 💪🏻

@@davidhenderson9159 Yes he posted about a planned trackday soon but some track official answered that he would not be able to run unless he has an 8.50 cert. But pretty sick street hit with a lot left on the table. Congrats on running 8s 👍
Why you know if it is the fastest in Europe?
Because there isn't a quicker one, and the previous record was 8.94. And this is proper track times not dragy.
