Quality of the receptacle is not always the case when you install 50amp outlet for your ev car,
If it wasn't installed correctly, acting from loose wiring will burn or melt any quality device.

NEVER use thread locker on any electric connection. All liquid chemical thread-lockers are insulators, and because they have low viscosity and cover most or all of the thread, they ruin any electrical bonding that a connector is supposed to provide. The melted outlet is a result of not torquing the scews correctly or buying a cheap $10 outlet.
