    Thank you! This will help. I just cleaned out my cooler, and the pump is working but making a lot of noise. I'm confident now I can just replace the pump. Yay!

    The hard part is getting the damn screw on tge other side out. But no body shows that...they just skip to it being off!!

    • @JayVisnansky
      @JayVisnansky  Před 2 měsíci

      Yea, that was a pain getting to that screw. I didn’t show it because I couldn’t get a good angle for the camera without my arm being in the way. Hope you got it off though.

      Excellent ! Thanks. It’s actually pretty easy replacing the pump. Hardest part is getting the screws loose that hold the pump. Thanks for watching.

      @@solidsnakeandgrayfox That’s right. But luckily I had those small wire strippers that fit right in there.

    Easier than buying a new one. My original pump lasted one and a half summers but I used it constantly her in the Las Vegas desert where the water is very hard.

      @JayVisnansky  Před 2 měsíci

    my pump AND fan don’t work. should i try to replace the water pump first? idk if thats gonna help the fan start or not. great vid

    • @JayVisnansky
      @JayVisnansky  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Thanks Zobe. How old is your unit ? That may dictate whether you should replace parts or buy a new one. The fan works independently of the water pump. Maybe the calcium build up around the fan is preventing the fan from working.
      Hope that helps a little.

    @angelatyler1366 Před 3 měsíci

    How do you unclip the clip from the old pump? The video didn't show that part. You just said it's easier to use a screwdriver to get it off.

    • @JayVisnansky
      @JayVisnansky  Před 3 měsíci

      Oh, ok. It’s the electrical connection you’re referring to Angela. That connection is much like an electrical plug in that it’s just friction that holds it on. And chances are, it has some calcium buildup that holds it on tight. So if it was new, you’d just pull it off. But it’s not, so I used a screwdriver at the connection and preyed it off. There’s nothing more holding it on than friction. So just prey it off.
      I sure hope that helps you Angela.

    Less than a year old, pump lasted 3 months for last summer. I properly cleaned & flushed the unit before putting into storage and everything worked properly then. Then this week, pulled it out to prep it for summer...and the pump doesn't work. Is this normal after only 3 months of use last summer?

    • @JayVisnansky
      @JayVisnansky  Před 4 měsíci +1

      I hope it’s not normal Silverman ! I haven’t started my unit back up for this summer yet but like yours, it worked ok when I last used it last summer. It’ll be interesting to see.

      @@alexandrorodriguez1442 The Hessaire evap is working fine when you’re within ten feet or so of it. But for a bigger area like my garage, I think a split system would do a better job of keeping the entire garage cool. And then warm in the winter. Hope that helps.
