I'm going to be honest, whybdoes battle pass look like the same style as cod black ops cold war's battle pass? Aside from that, i might just wait until it's free to download.

The battle pass and live service elements really did not endear this game to me when they were revealed, but now that we know they won't go away once the season ends, and that you will eventually get to play the game offline when soloing, I definitely plan on picking this game up.
I wouldn’t bet on the offline gameplay happening. That just wreaks of something that’ll get cut down the line with a statement saying they are prioritizing other things (more cosmetics) or the game does poorly and it’s just scrapped

I'll probably wrap up the story and play whatever characters have come out by then and then drop off, to come back when a couple more characters show up.

Rocksteady has killed it with the communication on this game. They've implemented so many features that other live service games lack. I'll be there day 1 for sure.
The fact that you can replay the story is huge. So glad I preordered the digital deluxe version, can’t wait to play.

When it comes to games like this I feel it’s easy to hate or wish we had something else. The way I see it this game could be fun with a squad and I’ve always appreciated cabooses outlook with looking at the positives but is honest at the end of the day!!!

The ability to replay missions/story mode and go back and get previous battle passes is huge. Excited to explore the Batman museum and do that mission as joker when he drops.
I been straight PRAYING since the teaser trailer dropped that we might get a red hood DLC character since he was done so dirty in Gotham Knights
I know for a fact that I’m going to sink in hundreds of hours into this game! That battle pass feature is great and I would love to see it in future live service games 🔥
I do like the elseworlds idea but i also hope some of the future dlc characters are from the arkhamverse like the main characters.
unless we get someone like peacemaker, black manta, red hood, reverse flash or one of the other rogues members like captain cold i'd rather have elseworld variants like the crime syndicate or red son superman.

im excited about the characters that they would introduce in the new seasons.
I just hope for a Bizarro as a free character, both to get my Superman fix but also just for the sake of how cool a character like that would be. Taking the aspects of basically the entire current 4 villian team and adding it to a single person. Tank like items ( King Shark ), Moderate flight/hover movement with ranged attacks ( Deadshot ), ground based speed ( Captain Boomerang ), and dodging in a flexible manner ( Harley ). Allowing players to have at least a single character that is the entire package if swapping or learning a single class type is bothersome.

I’ve been saying this about the game it is gonna be crazy. Rocksteady always came out with quality. It’s like borderlands meets DC that shit is cool to me.
People wanna hate on this game so bad like they can make better game half them don't even know how to make one😂, this game is going to be a banger I loved playing the alpha it was mad dope seeing green lantern flash and playing that mission where Batman just picks you off from the shadows super fucking fire.
Glad to see that we’re getting new dlc characters every 3 months instead of what Avengers did by giving no communication and then dropping a copy and paste reskinned version of a character a year later
In ny opinion to the players wondering why joker uses an umbrella you might look at how harley and friends recieve their tools😊. I bet in his world he picked the umbrella like cap,deadshot,harley and shark choose their tools in the intro.
I’m so excited to see the battle pass because I was upset knowing it would have one but knowing that you could go through old battle passes (as someone who has to get it in sept) this is so exciting!
Glad that 343 is starting to change how battle passes are handled. Hopefully SSKTJL bp’s will have more content than boosts and currency.
One thing that has not been mentioned is the addition of NEW Justice League members to fight. I want to fight Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Hawkgirl etc not reskins of the 5 members that are already in the game.
You see this battle pass and compare it to overwatch where u don't a single bit of premium currency back and it expires in a season ( not to mention the mythic skins losing a feature each season)

Every video I watch on this game I hear “chapter select and leaderboards” as major features. That’s the bare minimum but we are so used to terrible experiences that this seems amazing
Personally battle passes makes you grind and play for more after you reach out max level or beat the story, I wish Gotham Knights has one to make the game fun again 🤕
I just don’t understand why I have to pay $70 and still have to pay for a battle pass. There is nothing wrong with battle passes whatsoever, but if you wanna charge me $70 for the game UP FRONT and still have the gall to put cosmetic items behind a battle pass paywall? Like please be so fr
I wonder if at some point we’re gonna get like abilities that replace the suicide strike, abilities that have to do with the characters like deadshot ricocheting bullets, boomerangs special 🪃 or Shark biting or eating enemies.
Although I'm really worried about the story stuff and the connection to the Arkhamverse, even I have to admit that this is already sounding like one of the most player-friendly live service games ever made. Almost every game with a battlepass and seasons and stuff like that are always weaponizing FOMO just to get as much short-term money as possible, so I'm really happy that the Suicide Squad team seems to be avoiding that. It's obviously not perfect, but it's MUCH better than most live service games.
The connection to Arkhamverse makes it even better
I mentioned FOMO on a argument comment because this game is removing it entirely!
Fortnite, Apex, hell even MK1 and it's Invasions mode has a FOMO that makes users want to buy the battle pass or for MK1's case grind a stupid gamemode for a cool skin. But now with this we'll be able to buy a certain set and not worry about it!

One thing that hasn't been touched on that I would like to know is if they will ever implement couch co op into the game. I know as of now it's online only but is there a chance that we can play side by side with our friends and family without having a 2nd console TV and copy of the game
Hearing that you can seemingly replay the story as the Joker has me curious if you can replay the main campaign as any dlc character and how that will look. I'm wondering if it's just within gameplay or if there will be new story-centric dialogue exchanged amongst the squad when new characters are involved
My guess is the cutscenes will be the same and just switch back to the original 4. Like it does if you are playing with multiple of the same character a

The game currently only works solo on private squad looking forward to trying matchmaking with public lobby however that wont happen till server starts working without "host connection fail" or "WB server disconnect" it feels too repetitive without homies
Yea I’m excited even more for my bday (Jan 30th) (deluxe release) I was scared I wouldn’t be able to go back and get the past battle pass collectables…that’s fire I love that
4 planned seasons.. it'll be lucky if it gets passed the 2nd season before Rocksteady is forced to cut or abandon content due to struggling user numbers.
Handsdown, Huge W Devs. This is what we need and deserve for a good service game. I love that they'll never make us miss out on stuff just for seasonal Updates/Passes. For that stuff alone it's a GOTy contendor for sure. Pretty sure it won't win it, but for me personally it already is one of the GOTY's this year.
This game is going to be more like Borderlands than I thought, with the ability to play with any combo of characters instead of only one player per character like in L4D2.
Warner brothers refusing to send out review copies to negative critique tells me everything i need to know about this game.
The open communication is making me feel much better about the launch of this game. I was really worried a couple of months ago but the new developments have me genuinely excited. I think this game will be fantastic in about 2 years from now

I wonder what the story is behind Joker's umbrella videogame wise? And why does he use it? Did he kill the Penguin in his world and take it from him? Were they close, and did something happen to Penguin that made him use it to honor him? Was the Joker a combination of himself and the Penguin, being an arms dealer in his world as well as a maniac that did what he wanted? Or are they just going to explain it IRL?
I'm not gunning for battle passes but the fact that they will be able to be played through after the 3 months they are active gives me hope

Having it fail will damage WB. Something any rational person wants. People that are paying for deluxes and battle passes are ruining gaming. If it succeeds monetarily, WB knows that they can put out trash to us more.

I think that the thing were they add a character for every season will end very soon, it’s kinda impossible, not for the characters available, but for the work that’s behind it, maybe they will add them as a dlc that you have to pay for
It's not impossible but requires the community to support these artists so they can see the impact. Best example is sunset overdrive by insomniac on Xbox. That game got no support from fans even though it was very fun and had a fresh concept. Now that insomniac found a place and got the support from fans we can see the impact.
how much are the skins? this is the main factor for me right now, 10/20 dollar skins do not belong in a full priced game

There are some skins you can unlock by playing the story and completing riddler challenges.

Okay, but I actually have a question. Since it said you Can redo the battle pass What about characters? Let's say you don't get the joker for free. And you're so close to get him. Can you go back and still do it and get the joker and any other new characters? Or is that just a one time thing? And how long will the joker be able to get?

A little bit worried that reviewers dont have review codes for this game yet considering it's out in less than a week.
I know some people will defend this but it's bad for consumers. If the studio is confident in the game they should give reviewers time to engage with it's mechanics and world, especially if its a live service game.
That’s also where issues arise though. Survivability of games like this hinge on the endgame. And reviewers normally don’t get to see that.

@@wienersmcbutts Exactly - so ideally reviewers would be given plenty of time to play through the story and reach the endgame.
Even with Spider-Man 2's shortcomings, at least they were confident, reviewers were already playing it like a month before launch.
@@GmtheOne I understand that, but reviewers have been able to play the multiplayer segment of big games for ages now. Game studios have plenty of ways they can provide server access to the multiplayer aspect of games to select people.

They showed cutscenes with the Joker, didn't they? I think CD's plan with Avengers was to do expansions like Wakanda, but they screwed themselves by making everything free. They lost funding and a percentage of their team. Their marketplace model only worked if the game was popular and it certainly wasn't. If Rocksteady gets a decent cash flow, I can see the DLC characters being more integrated than just audio logs.
I think if you buy the battlepass you shouldnt have to earn every tier. You should get it automatically.
Unfortunately, I wouldn’t hold out hope that other games adopt this battle pass model. FOMO heavily encourages spending, and that’s all most AAA developers care about
wonder if the free pass will have currency in it and if so, how that would work.. because if you can go back to old battle passes AND get the free currency, surely after 'x' amount of seasons you'll be able to just get every battle pass for free
