I love the theory that the story is actually set into 3 parts, and the base game at launch is just the first part. The second part is supposedly finding out that the Justice League are in fact still alive and the ones we killed were just clones created by Brainiac - and the mission would be to save them. The third part is supposedly working alongside the Justice League to finally defeat Brainiac once and for all. I'm not sure if it will turn out like this but I think that would turn it into a great story, and it would be nice to see Kevin as the good Arkham Batman once again.

@@ppllovemj there is absolutely nothing pointing out on them being clones. In the entire game it's depicted how their bodies were modified and enhanced, and everytime someone died their bodies were brought back to the ship. If they are just clones, why would he rescue their bodies? Just make more of them. Also, why are there only one clone of each member? Nothing makes sense
And in the leaked dialogue it's talked about Flash's *RESSURECTION,* which means he actually died. The entire dialogue is about him being back, in the sense of being dead and coming back to life

More clones, more power you need to spread between each clones, so in case of flash, clones would be slower. Superman clones would be weaker, and Batman clones would be braindead
It breaks my heart that people were so outraged about batman dying that they ignored the Farwell to Kevin. He died 1 years ago I was happy to see a final performance an a goodbye to the character. Batman will probably return with a new voice actor.
I'd love to see Roger Craig Smith return as Batman. He voiced Batman in Arkham Origins.
It's Rocksteady's fault. The fact they attempted to pay respect to Kevin after disrespecting the character so hard is nothing short of laughable, and they deserve all the scorn sent their way.

They ALL LEFT when this project was made andt he founder left too. They aren't the rocksteady we love, they're made by interned people, and chosen based on color. They have skill, but rocksteady chose then based on if they're not white, or if they're not straight either. Rocksteady is NOT the guys who made Arkham Knight. So therefore, if it isn't made by the people who made the arkham games - it isn't Canon.
@@bilingualpickle2605 They knew to respect Wonder Woman when she had does things that her colleagues has done for their Villains. Harley Quinn stated brings up multiple times that Batman is a good Person and has no beef against him. King Shark knew to be respectful to Flash and Green Lantern when they died. The characters are just poorly written.
Also I believe the reason he said "my Justice League" is because he views them as pets and property. He constantly says "pets" and "mine" to the Squad and everyone on Earth
there's still one thing that still makes me unsure about this theory and thats when Wonder Woman uses the lasso of truth on supposedly clone barry (since he has all his fingers) and it has him snap out of the mind control to say she has to kill him. I mean it wouldn't make much sense for a clone thats fully commited to brainiac to say that?

I mean, the lasso is kinda inconsistent in this game too. When she interrogated Boomerang, he lied about how Flash lost his finger.
If Brainiac can just freeze them all in place, why doesn’t he just… hear me out…. *do it again* instead of shapeshifting into the flash to fight them and then either take control of the squad, imprison them, or kill them?
If we apply that kind of logic, then we’d have to do that to Batman as well in previous Arkham games.
@@radbman5932 With what specifically? Granted, yes Batman has always been comically over prepared in comics and the same goes for Arkham Batman games. But Batman doesn’t have the power to just freeze everyone in place whenever he wants in the Arkham games.
It's called bad writing lmao to be fair there's a good bit of that in the comics to even the more popular and loved ones because they are really inconsistent but i think they really dropped the ball with the story.
The game was likely remade and what we got was basically an anthem situation where they basically restarted development like a year before release and had to scrap all this together last minute
The bad writing, the limited game modes, the long roadmap that probably was planned for release, the lazy boss fights especially brainiac, it all points to a rushed game
They also say that it was initially a rock steady shooter but warner bros wanted it to be connected to dc so they forced the suicide squad on the game last minute, which explains why the kits are very simple and samey but also don't really apply to thr characters, because they weren't supposed to be these established characters it was supposed to be an original shooter.
Lastly the fact rock steady devs left might also point to them ruining their vision of an original shooter, and then they got a bunch of woke sweet baby rando to pick up the pieces with a short deadline and this is what they whipped up with the half finished work done beforehand, it all seems to add up ofc that's probably not 100% accurate but the general idea makes a lot of sense
@@theblackishboy1105 yep! Absolutely. In regards to “plot armor”, there’s always elements of it in any work of it in any work of fiction. For example, Batman’s enemies choosing to taunt and play around with Bats rather than actually killing him or imprisoning him when they have the chance. But at least, in the Arkham games it’s a bit more believable compared to Suicide Squad atrocities in writing.
Maybe it is a device that can only work once on a living person so when Lex-2 teleported them away it wasted Brainiac’s one chance to use it. Would explain how he managed to capture the league so quickly and why after Flash escapes Brainiac doesn’t use it again on him but resorts to Batman hunting him down.
The answer is whatever makes more money. Today is could be yes, tomorrow no.
This is comic book video game we are talking about, anything is possible, characters won't be dead forever, maybe time travel or multi dimensions or clones, there will be some ways to bring characters back. That's why I don't tend to get mad when I see popular comic book characters dead, they are all just gone for short term. I was there when they first time killed superman, and the death of captain America from comic books, well...we all know how those characters' faith turn out by now.

I think the "this body is meant to regenerate" line from the Braniac boss battle is important. There's a reason why Flash regrew his finger and Superman survived a Kryptonite to the chest. Maybe we did kill them, but Braniac could easily revive them instead of churning out clones.
Yeah, that Kryptonite bit was too much of a change to not be important. That would have straight killed him. Something big is coming. Even the way Diana died was weird.
Also, I'm just not convinced the Squad could be an unaltered JL.

Flash's thumb got cut off and Boomer still had it, there was no way that anyone of them could have reattached Flash's finger back while it was in Boomer's possession, unless Batman took it from Boomer (He didn't)

@@LN031 they very much could just leave the bodies there and just have them despawn when you leave the area. Like how every game Arkhamverse included treats enemies. It takes more effort to go out of their way to draw attention to the bodies vanishing with glowing lights and sound effects. They're intentionally visually removing them from the scenes

I really don’t know about this clone theory. Some valid points are brought up, but some of it just seems like a reach. My biggest questions are, if brainiac could clone the jl member, then why wouldn’t he make multiple clones. And if he could make an actual functioning lantern ring, why wouldn’t he make multiple and give each “clone” one? And if they are clones, why do they still seem to have part of their humanity left? They still have memories and occasionally showcase their good side. I feel like brainiac would remove their sense of morality and make them straight robot killing machines who obey him in every way. And wouldn’t flash tell Diana that he was a clone when she used the lasso of truth on him?
Wonder woman did not ask Barry who actually is him, if i remember correctly. She only ask how do we save the situation. Barry replied we have to die. Which is the truth, clones had to die so that brainiac had nothing Ace up his sleeve.

They are not clones. Brainiac actually enhanced them and that's why they'll be enhanced. The voice lines even talk about Flash being resurrected

A leak of Brainiac's audio saying "You may have the original Justice League, but I don't need their bodies to make more clones (meaning he made clones beforehand, aka the one the Squad kills) I have a perfect copy of their genetic code"

In DC people have vulnerabilities to make sure they aren't completely unstoppable. Batman wanted to die, he might have killed robin, he betrayed everything he stands for. Who's to say he didn't let us kill him.
There is a dialogue in the game about clones and also about why the green light is still active after GL death
The clone theory is cool and all but that would mean the only one actually died was Wonder Woman and since she never got captured there's no clone of her, there's not even a body left to clone only ashes in the wind.
True was it normal for her body to burn to ash when she died in the game or is that unusual for her to die like that might be nothing i just found it odd

If i remember correctly didn’t Lex say superman DNA was altered so either it wasn’t just a mind control and he altered them down to their DNA and that’s why Flash said they had to be killed or the altered DNA was due to him creating clones that better suited his purpose for them
The only issue woth JL being alive is what about Diana? Is she dead? And what use is JL alive if 99% of Metropolis is dead? I remember one of the leaks (which is most likely someone's fan fiction) say that the game mentions the cosmic treadmill and that the game ends with Diana caryying Flash's body implying that she will somehow use Flash and the speed force to reverse time. That seems like a much cleaner resolution to me as compared to living in the aftermath of a world ravaged by Brainiac.

There is enemy dialog that supports this. And subtitles help. One line goes like "So since flash is [dead], what now?' That's how it is in the subtitles. And another one literally refers to themselves as recycled clone dna with imprinted memories......
Ok so , I saw a theory form someone that says , when brainiac said "you" in the end scene is because he swapped minds with Luthor and it is also the reason behind Luthor saying 13 more brainiacs and not 12

6:45 i was watching someone do the brainiac boss fight and they didn’t destroy the regen crystals but I think the this body can regenerate was just the crystals healing him
Fun theroy: what you fight are Elseworld style alternet versions of the Justice League, and the real Justice League is off planet dealing with other things, which is why Braniac chose now ro attack.
It is so dumb that the ENTIRE Justice League can come back. Lets take Green Lantern. If he is a clone and the real Lantern is controlling the helicopters around the city, then you are saying that Brainiac recreated the Lantern Ring and DID NOT give one to every member of his armada. This game keeps getting worse and worse
Brainiac wasn't making clones during his boss fight he was shape shifting into The Flash also I do believe the JL are alive the only problem is Wonder Woman wasn't controlled by Brainiac so unfortunately she probably is dead

@@isaacnunez5297actually this Brainiac is completely different from the traditional comic Brainiac. He doesn't even act like the comic Brainiac, so it's certainly possible that this version of Brainiac relies on cloning tech a lot.
True but in the process he was transforming himself into a copy of the Flash, albeit one that was still visibly Braniac, meaning he was capable of replicating the Flash's biology, which in turn means he could have done it more times, either by creating a clone from scratch or transforming one of his grunts into a clone in the same way as he does to himself, just going further because Braniac's ego demanded that his own transformations are still recognisably Braniac, it may also explain the glowing eyes and other visual imperfections caused by the brainwashing; rather than being what he added to the league in his brainwashing, it's the stuff the he can't get to go away after transforming his grunts.
I hope the DLC boss fight there are some sort of mechanics. Hopefully it’s not just reused boss fights
I don’t know if they’re planning on still doing it or not, but I did hear some voice lines on somewhere where the flash asks why Waller brought them back because he thought they hated them
The flash growing limbs was always one of his super powers but growing a thumb would take maybe a week but super man was upgraded to not be affected by space ruck so he probably also speed up flash’s ability to heal

Well we know for sure Oracle is alive, Batman mentions how they want to capture her and Hack for their smarts. Catwoman is alive, as said by riddler and by Batman's letters from her.
I thought I was gonna see Brainiac constantly switch his powers or attacks from each member of the Justice League but no, it was a flash battle part 2. but with 13 Brainiacs to fight, it seems plausible that we will see brainiac portray his battle as a different Justice League member each time we fight him. I mean now we see joker gets brought back as a playable character and Lex Luther through a alternate universe so maybe they might bring back the justice league through the many dimensions we'd have to go through to defeat all 13 Brainiac's
I was also think throughout the game Lex need living subjects to create a counter to Brainiac what if it the same for Brainiac to have a living justice league to clone and siphon their abilities and memories.

The clone thing is kinda weird to me and doesn't sit right but they are definitely alive still in some form. Obviously the teleporting is massive and the clearest indicator that they'll be back but it makes no sense why he would bother teleporting the corpses back to make a new one. There is an interesting parallel with Ivy being a lex clone though.

It doesnt make sense how they would be clones. Braniac meant "his justice league" bc they were corrupted, and thats what he does, does anyone remember injustice? Like why would they go through all that trouble just to kill clones for what? The only option they would come back is elseworlds but thats it.
Maybe the hint that batman arkham videos found its just a teaser of the new batman arkham game that apparently is in the works, i dont know
My theory is that the JLA were clones & mind controlled:
BAV found on Brainiac's ship when he took the camera into a pod that seems to have some kind of alien in it with a giant head, which he theorizes that, that alien is Brainiac while the other versions we see are empty clones that he's controlling.
I think he's doing the same for the JL, the clones are empty husks while the real versions that are mind controlled are on the skull ship and their minds are connected to the clones so incase one of them die, Brainiac can just make another one, and it's why when WW uses her lasso on Flash she's able to get through to him since the magic is able to reach Barry on the ship only long enough to tell her to kill them (the clones).
Now that you mentioned it, it would’ve made sense for Aquaman to be in the main story simply for the fact that every member of the SS except King Shark seemed to have personal beef with a JL member and it kinda made him stand from the rest

If you watch the scene where Batman is about to shoot Harley Quinn, when the Flash is using his left hand (the hand where Boomerang accidentally cuts his finger off) he has all of his digits.
It makes sense that they weren't clones, but they were revived considering the leaked voice lines from the flash saying "Why are we back?" I think they actually died but get revived, and if thats the case they can say Harley shot Batman in the throat and permanently damaged his vocal chords so even though he gets brought back to life his voice is permanently altered meaning they could get another VA like Jason Omara to replace Kevin. How Barry kept his finger tho? One of two theories, one rocksteady is just stupid and inconsistent and just not realized, or two braniac is just able to "regrow it" considering he can revive them. Also Braniac isn't really creating copies so much as shapeshifting his body/morphing into them.
I feel like the plan is to save the tru brainiac fight for once the final brainiac boss fight appears
They were probably trying to do what Avengers did with the snap but they kinda forgot that the Avengers movie was explicitly ‘part 1’.
I'm actually more worried that if all of this turns up to be true, all the bashers of the game are the ones who are gonna be on copium and gonna try to convince everyone that Rocksteady and WB decided did this not by design in advance but rather by retconning everything just to calm down the backlash, and the bashers are gonna keep pushing at agenda non-stop and won't let anyone to enjoy the game. That goes that there are more and more games nowadays that you can't judge just by the initial package alone in order to see if there are legit good games or not.

My issue with the story is that the Justice League were apparently unsaleable after being captured, but when Wonder Woman used the lasso on Flash his eye changed back for a second so surely that should that they can be saved?
I do think once we get through the first round of brainiac JL boss fights for the dlc that we’ll get other characters like Hal Jordan or aqua man that he may have killed from other universes and is now using them to fight us
I think a potential hint most people miss is that when wonder woman sticks kryptonite in supermans chest amanda waller does say that it should have killed him and is visibly confused. Maybe im hopped up on copium though
Ok there is a huge misunderstanding when it comes to the Green Lantern rings. In the comics when a lantern dies the ring does not immediately go look for someone else who has extreme will power. Mogo the living planet actually is the one who sends rings to search for other green lanterns after the ring bearers die. In some comics the reason Hal even gets a ring is because he found a dead or dying Abin Sur and accidentally activated the ring. Also you don’t need to have extreme will power to use the ring you need extremely will power to charge and use the ring regularly. Shark is only physical able to use the ring once and does not charge the ring. Heck even Penguin was once able to use a lantern ring (mainly to fly around but he still used it)
I don’t count the flashes finger as proof since he has a healing factor, or accelerated healing. But the teleporting is some strong evidence.

So I always thought it was obvious that it wasn't the actual Justice League and when Rocksteady released the squad episodes and talked about Elseworlds that the game was a lot bigger but from seeing everyones initial reactions to the game I guess I was wrong. Either was we just have to wait for the story to be actually complete

Yo caboose a have a question, if flash is a clone, then how did flash get his normal eye color back for a second when Wonder Woman tied him with the lasso of truth?

I believe the first flash was the real one, because somehow when they met batman he snaps out of mind control and saves harley, by then to avoid losing an asset and to avoid making a mistake that they might snap back brainiac made copies of them and when 2nd flash came his finger went back because he's just a copy like brainiac copied flash in the endgame, then when superman was stabbed by kryptonite he did not die or got weakened by it, its because he's not a real kryptonian but just an actual copy of superman, like wonderwoman mentioned he shouldve died already after that but he didnt. but this is just a theory.
Thats all gonna depend if warner bros doesnt pull the server early

There’s many ways to bring her back since she’s made out of clay ( most of the time)
Her soul could go back to the Well of Souls on Themyscira and boom she’s reborn, or she’s sculpted into a clay form and brought back by goddesses
She’s technically immortal

They aren’t going to be clones, there’s literally nothing hinting that brainiac can create clones, however he has a least 13 universes of people and heroes at his disposal
I do feel likely that the Justice League aren’t clones but have been revived and stored till later on the game seasons.
The only thing that can save this is variety they need more characters to play and characters people care about

I think a lot of us basically talked about this being the case, Justice League being alive (to include IGN's original preview), but at the end of the day does that make it better? Or predictable? However, that doesn't change the fact that we watched Boomer try and p*** on the "Flash", that we watched the squad kill who we thought were the JL members and it was mostly nonchalant, or that the general writing was formed to fit the live service and future seasonal content instead of telling a coherent story.

Well its obvious because Lex said in the end that SS just defeated one of the versions of Brainiac and there are 12 more. Additionally, James Gunn when he took over the DC throne said he wanted to link the multiverse with animated movies, games and cinematic movies.
I think this game's story was done on purpose to make fans pissed. That way the devs now have a redemption arc.

I am around the 60th hour in doing endgame stuff and just leveled a second character to 30. Have Harley and Deadshot now up there. Rocksteady really needs to get the word out that the JL in this are not the real one's to improve the PR around the game. The game being a live service looter shooter was already bad PR but the Batman death through gasoline on the fire.
There are definitely blatant hints in the game that something is up with the JL. I just hope that they are clones rather than being restored copies from the elseworlds in the future because that will still say that this Batman was the legit Arkham Batman that Harley killed which will not make people happy.
Really addicted to getting all the end game loop and all but unless they can turn around some sort of PR to increase people's interest in the game, it won't last much longer past the first year that they already have laid out. Here's hoping because the bones of this game are really good.

Come, justice leagues first mega lvl threat, and they get wiped on the floor, they have to still be alive, right? And where is the other Justice league members, they have to show up sooner or later.
I think once all the brainiacs from the post launch are dead, there will probably be a reveal where all the real people are and we see the post credits ending where the real justice league returns

After watching footage of SSKTJL, I have come to the realization that DC Games will be experiencing a horrible and long time period similar to what HALO went through, which saddens me

In refermce to the "he will return" line. Isn't it just a likely to refer to Brainiac. We know there are 12 in total. We kill one meaning 11 are left. Brainiac is just ae likely of 'he' as Batman or anyone else

maybe they mean in "he will return" they mean an alternative batman from another universe not Bruce Wayne but Thomas Wayne or Jason Todd because this game is a looter shooter so they need a batman with with guns

Only part of this that sucks is that even if this was true is that Arkhamverse Wonder Woman is actually dead. No way to bring her back unless she comes from another universe as we're fighting in the other universes.
