long hauler 379. 10-4. driver throw one of these heart beats in a mack superliner or a R model in the desert with no a.c. n c how long they last or crawl in a 36in sleeper and c how long they last ×with no tripac or a.c. or no gps or no crll phone c them wine like school girls that lost there lunch $ cause they cant figure put how to get into lower manhattan with a 48ft refer with no power stearing ! they just need to show respect for the true professionals that opened the roads for them to have it this ez out here
at least old school truckers dont make videos bitching about dispatch when told to do their damn job. they do their job and dont go on tv looking like a smuck ;)

The first farmer Joe, sorry OTR company I worked for, was so "old school" they used to pump the engine oil into the diesel tanks when they serviced the truck. Top up your tanks with diesel and your good to go. Oh yeah, that's old school recycling.

Those new plastic trucks have emission controls that fail and disable a truck in the north. DEF can and does gel up. ReGen trucks don't handle the extreme cold worth a turkey fart. A PA friend had been yelled at by truckers more than twice because his driveway isn't wide enough to turn a tractor-trailer around because a well respected GPS unit said the dead end road was a secondary highway that connected with an Interstate. Old school may have to accept some technology to continue trucking but it is disrespectful and foolish to make many of these comments.
40+ years driving truck, I guess that's old school. ...however, I use carrier web, electronic logs. smart phones, have xm-sirius....BUT, I have never once, heard the "out the window with the gps" story!!! let alone a thousand million, (easier way to say that would be a billion)....just sayin'
the reason they don't like elogs is because old guys use to like playing with the calculator and figuring out how they could drive longer. if they got caught they'd get hit with a fine I'm sure but if you're a gamblin man you could stack up a bit of paper between fines no doubt.

As for the comment you made about guys who think the new style aero trucks aren't real trucks, some of us just love trucks. More specifically the older style of trucks. I have wanted to own my own truck since I was little and in a couple more years I will. And if I have to lose a couple thousand dollars a year to roll around in a classy truck than so be it. To each their own dude.

Ok so a lot of the shit u ranted about is senseless, old schoolers have been on the road before u were born so they know there ways and directions than a gps, but ultimaltely this is a personal choice, About the aero trucks I agree theres nothing wrong with them I know a few old schoolers who are willing to drive aero trucks only if they have manual transmissions, but everyone has to agree no aero truck can beat the beauty of a long nose pete or w9 kw, finally, whats wrong with paper logs there better than damn elogs cause u controll them, u can adjust ur running hours and they dont take up that big of a place in ur dash, then again these are all personal choices dont confuse the idiots with real old schoolers cause u can learn from experience more than Swifts training class, no hard feelings but know the truth. The funny thing is, no generation seems to understand that the world evolves and changes. What I mean by this, is that those old school truckers at one time when they were younger were saying the same thing about the generation of truckers above them, much like you talk about them. Eventually, you will be one of those old school truckers having a younger generation of truckers bitching about you, and the same things. And so on, and so on. Whatever you say about old school truckers, will eventually be said about you. Think about it.

+Gary Johnson Where do you want him to run? The exit ahead lane? The go fast or suicide lane? In all honestly, its safer, and easier, to run in the middle lane. Your not hogging up a faster lane, your not blowing by the cop/tow truck driver whose trying to do their job. On top of that you have lanes to your left or right you can move over to, if need be.
First rule of trucking is. Never pass on the right. Correct. That being said. Its dangerous to do so.
