    I use to work at family dollar warehouse before I caught a felony charge. Have orientation for USxpress Nov 14th on the family dollar account lol. I miss the physical work, I’ve been working front desk at planet fitness for 5 years. It’s time to go!!! All I can say is God is good for helping me through to get my CDLS because it’s plenty opportunities out there waiting for me.

      I was leasing at that time, so I had to take out my own taxes. However, that’s why I left, to me $1500 after taxes wasn’t enough for the amount of work you had to do. I eventually went to USA truck and that account came back up temporarily. They were paying $2k a day (minus USA’s %). So I went back and grossed $14k a week then. But I’m into flatbed now the bread and butter (Specialized)

  • @MikeHart72
    @MikeHart72 Před rokem +1

    I worked for a food service company, my trailers never looked that messy. There must be a better system to do this. The company should look into lift gates so you can roll pallets off and go. I also think I would prefer to haul B-trains, the smaller trailers fit better in the tight spots than the 53 footers. And what’s with bringing back all the cardboard ?
    I’m not sure what they pay for this type of work but from what I’ve seen it most likely isn’t enough.

    • @stewslogisticsllc9460
      @stewslogisticsllc9460  Před rokem

      B-Trains wouldn’t work because you would have to disconnect to back up to the store everytime you deliver. There are lift gates for when pallets are to be off loaded. However, each store only get up to 4 pallets if any. Bringing the cardboard back is so they can recycle it instead of putting it into the landfills. If you are company, the pay isn’t worth anything. Lease operator isn’t much better. However, if you are there because they need help (outside carrier that’s not on a contract), you could make up to 2k a day 7 days a week.

I don't mind hard work--but this makes Dollar General look genius with rolltainers. I just had a hard time on the reefer side of DG rolltainers cause I'm a smaller guy. @@stewslogisticsllc9460 Yeah that is common. Unfortunately. Manager that I used to work with if we saw that he would flip a gasket or somebody would have gotten fired, but but people doing that going in the dumpster yeah. They are probably still doing that. Even though you have to go through a gate in order to get in. They still climb over the fence and still get in.. I live in Jersey.
      The store in particular, I'm talking about is at Asbury Park.. It's not the best store but it's not the Is worst. It could be a 2 million dollar store.
      You couldn't say I had the key to a million dollar store 2 Of them. I was a keyholder. You know, we had to go through street measures to get people to stop dumpster diving. The best way to do that if you go back there again, suggest them to use bleach on everything, leave it out.
      They don't go back there as much or or if there's food, rip it up. Put whatever was swept up in the Mixed it or dump it with the trash, but please, whatever.
      Is going to make it not worth it. Should get damage out a couple bleach bottles. It will slow them down when they smell That's what we had to do. True story I want to go and throw cardboard out. And there was actually somebody sleeping in it.
      Keep in mind the gates were closed.
      The downstairs were behind the fence that gets locked up every night.. Suggest bleach whatever they put food out there. That is old or might be old. Were damaged, making not worth it for anyone to even think about it, and make sure people see you doing it. Seven don't go back there or have to go back there. Because on the day of truck man, we go through a lot of boxes.
      And returns and damages and all that other good stuff. Damage out some products or store, use some products to make that happen to kind of slow them down, it does work, it's not a 100% effective, But it does slow down to where it Kind of most likely stop until The next store manayeah they don't really keep people not really much of an incentive.
