We visited Ziks Avenue in Awka for a first-hand assessment of the numerous complaints we receive on our complaints/suggestion line about how mechanics now operate on the road.
Ziks Avenue is known for motor spare parts dealers in Awka. As a result of the nature of the road, customers are allowed to pull over, transact, and drive off, but that has ceased to be the case. Car dealers now line up cars for sale, and mechanics now fix vehicles on the road hereby not just causing major obstructions but also occupying all the space for customers.
We had a good conversation with the traders and cautioned the mechanics and car dealers.
Recall the agency had installed directional and caution signs around Eke-awka but most of it was vandalized. We had to replace them.
ARTMA is also using this opportunity to serve a stern warning to all those that destroy road signs, anyone caught would be prosecuted.
We will continue to appreciate Mr Governor, Prof Charles Soludo CFR who has never relented in supporting the activities of ARTMA.
    SOLUTION IS HERE.

Mechanics should not allow to stay along the roads...they should HV park
