Dear Emily, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge on budgeting - it’s very valuable 👏 I struggled with the online shopping and the cash envelope system, but you show it fantastically in this video. There’s just one thing you don’t talk about and that’s your thoughts are on cash in the bank. Because as I see it you have to have as much cash in the bank as in your envelopes or how is that. It really plays my mind how I get that part sorted so it makes sense. Thank you 🙏

I just got a bunch of stuff, but the budget binder where we would create our budget and several other things are out of stock or has it been restocked recently? I am type A so I don’t like to start until I have everything needed to begin 😂

I kinda use the same system as you do with the “bank binder” it’s nice to be able to pull the money when needed but it still be separate from the main funds.

We are saving to be 6 months ahead on bills and expenses which we consider to be a fully funded emergency fund 😊
No, we aren’t saving for an item, it’s an emergency fund set aside in case we need it. So if something were to happen (like an emergency) where we couldn’t work, we have enough set aside to live off of for 6 months
