Well, my second build in Poe was rf chief. And I`m still a very noob, I started to play poe month ago. And I have to admit that I`ll play this build in the current league as a starter. PoB instructions are really for noobs like me. Everything straight, recognizable, foloweable for a dude who started few weeks ago. Very recommended.
You're absolutely right. 9 years ago, I didn't know how to read guides, so I just played whatever I wanted, and I haven't played since it was stolen. (Taiwan Server)
I just came back to play and someone told me that there is a great player who plays Righteous Fire, then my first 100 level character is Righteous Fire.
I can't find anyone who does it better than POHX at the moment.

I watched this video on 1.5 speed in sections and played a bit each night after work this 1st week to get through the campaign. Having someone with your experience who puts thought into helping out new players is such a valuable resource. I'll definitely be checking out your other vids as I progress. Last league I got to red maps which was my goal. Looking forward to learning more and seeing how far I can get this time with some of the bosses etc. ! Thanks mang you rock!

Not running RF this league but preciate you doing all this work every league.
If you have !WHITE! not magic/rare boots with 3b or ideally 4l with colours that you need without ms you might consider to take it. There is vendor recepie to craft ms on boots - boots+qs flask+aug orb. First craft is 10% then you can add 5% per another vendor recepie - 15-20% is afforable without worring that you might be short on a3 library. Flask is easy to obtain simply by going to again killing Hailrake on new character - 5min max and also you have chemist strong box in Lower Prison in act 1 that drops tons of flasks. Remember that you will find another flasks simply by playing that you dont use so you can boost ms even further. Another puzzle is aug orb. It costs 4 transmute orbs or you can do vendor recepie for 2 augs - white + non id magic + non id rare item with the same base type (identical item) OR 1 aug if item is id. You might to sacriface essence from dweller here to make rare item.

I have tried POE multiple times only to end up with broken builds which in turn led to me being discourage and quitting. Finally decided to try one of your guides due to all of the recommendations and I am so glad I did. Following this guide helped me to learn the basics of the game and get through the campaign easily. I now have a new found love for the game. Keep up the good work!

We can see the torch near on tp and if the torch left side or right side there will be Alira In act 2 the westers forest. (its for new players). And opposite across the road there will be an entrance to a cave. u r welcome
The Torch is irrelevant, the waypoint is always pointing at alira.
1. League gets announced
2. New buffs to certain archetypes, get hyped, theory craft
3. Panic because I can't pick a build
4. Go RF again
5. Repeat
This was an amazing resource to have.
I've never gotten into PoE because I easily get mental fatigue, and the complexity of the game (though exciting) quickly overwhelms me. But this video got me all the way through the campaign.

Fantastic video, thanks Pohx! I have played RF in the past and liked it. Started 3.2.5 with Frost Blades Warden and while the damage is nice, it's super squishy. Dumped her at lvl 88 and rolled RF Chief today.

I want to say thank you. This helped me understand in a more basic way of how certain dependencies tie to each other, over the "do this build" blunt and no personality to them, so again, I cannot thank you enough!!!! I have tried over and over to get into POE over the years and always ended up stopping after the campaign mainly due to exhaustion from "barely making it to end game". This build has been so much fun for me as an older gamer(50+). However as I stare at lvl 70... I am once again lost and really not wanting to level alts since the leveling is the same its been. The end game seems so far out of reach (mainly crafting confusion) and how to even create a "map" that i havent logged in for days :( The game really starts at this point and the barrier to entry has overcome my enjoyment....omg i jsut saw you have a video for this part! Ill go watch and see if I can understand it LOL

You mentioned the life/res ratio or something, and I think there's going to be a lot more life from gear this league. I hope it doesn't mess anything up.

Best. PoE. Starter Guide. Ever. Helped me blast through campaign. Only thing I have no idea how you did it was get your armor up to 8k-10k in late acts. I just finished act 10 with ~2200 armor. I could never find gear with sockets/links that I needed and any currency I used never made it into something viable. your base knowledge of what to pick up and how to manipulate it into something usable is insane. leveling this right now with Thousand Ribbons for my chest, and Ngamahu's sign for one of my rings. The extra ignite and the lvl 5 elemental damage prolif is really fun. To call it AFK build is so true. I was playing after work and was nodding off, and fell asleep a few times but stayed alive.
Thanks, Pohx, I was worried this would suck early on. I did struggle to get int early on, but the fire wall and rolling magma actually felt really good to play. The guide was super easy to follow along with while leveling.

Great guide ...but damn worst start I have ever experienced in my life. LOL, it's awful. Now, after watching. Pausing...reading..etc... This is BY FAR the best EF guide I have ever had the privilege of going through. OUTSTANDING information. I love that he hits home the basics of how RF works and the synergy with health, health regen, and fire resistance. The tip on the spell power and mana on the same affix. Insane! I have yet to find one...but damn that looks potent.
I have never been brave enough to try a degeneration build and now I feel dumb for not trying this earlier. HIGHLY recommend.

gonna be my first time playing RF starter this league. Top notch content this stuff.
I played his RG JUGG 2 leagues. most fun I had in PoE. tried the Tornado Shot and others but the RF JUGG is the easiest one to play with no uniques needed.
Skipped the last 2 leagues due to frustrations on gear and loot. But, I'm going back this league. Probably, gonna do this again. Pohx is POG

note for people looking to be safe and not speedrun : there is a guy somewhere in the city you will build that sells rare items that will be broken for gold during the story probably based on the level of your character or something. can be a good way to get scepters and full rares

When you 4 linked your RF and had really good life regen the build started to look really really fun. The power fantasy of afking on the bosses' face while you take a piss and coming back to killing them is definitely something I need to try out

58:08 as a newcomer this part was honestly my pain point. After lots of Google searches I ended up realizing that I have to complete a quest to open up a passage, and got stuck in a wild goose chase to the point of quitting for the day.
Ya know I have always wanted to try RF and I could use a low impact / 1 button style build due to my hand issues. Guess I am finally gonna try it thanks to Ziz and this.

At the shores in Act 6 when you need to clear the entire map of enemies, there is a bug where sometimes you end up one kill short. I am not sure what triggers the bug, either an enemy is spawning outside, or some special rng event causes one of the enemies to not properly count towards the total kills and you end up one short. Its happened to me at least twice before.
Also, its almost disheartening to see how fast you super-vets clear the campaign.
I decided to switch to an RF build, and started your guide up when i was at the beginning of Act 3 and listened to it in the background while i played. Not only was i using one of the stronger builds i have ever used, but i was also skipping more than half of the enemies, which is something i usually don't do, and STILL you managed to catch up and pass me within like two hours. Shield Charge is kind of overpowered. Feels like they need to just buff the other travel skills if they don't want to nerf Shield Charge. I hate using shield charge (its clunky) and thats clearly the reason you were able to blow past my progress in less than half the time.
Thoroughly enjoyed watching the humbling league starter run. Done 100 smooth rf runs and the one time you decide to record the guide, it's clunky af

Pohx did you know the loadouts also take into account the calculations for each stage of the loadout, it now has dropdown option in config or calc tab

how do you accept/skip dialogue so easy?
how do you apply passive points quick?
how do you view trough vendor/stash tabs without clicking them?
It'd be great to know so I spend less time clicking and more time slayin.

Would love to see a collection of items finds, or crafts, or whatever it is you do later in maps to get to higher maps/end game. I tend to always struggle a bit in red maps and have never really pushed into whatever is beyond that. Pinnacle bosses, etc? The campaign is a breeze for me now at 850 hours of SSF... Might also try some trading in 3.25 =o
in all fairness, righteous fire is like 7/10 skill, but your guides are 10/10.
