Daft, I know it's nonsense and that I'm being shamelessly manipulated, but I really don't care. The spectacle is magical and has enthralled me since childhood. So proud.

Me too, I just love all the traditions. I am assuming they are practising for Trooping The Colour.

It's not nonsense! Our traditions make the world green with envy.

Why do you feel you're being manipulated? Our culture is as valid as anyone else's and this spectacle is a treasured part of it.

@@Dandalore Manipulated? Because history, pagentry, call it what you will continues or is allowed to continue, because it is written by the winners. Romanovs were massacred so that the Tsars could not be restored, Cromwell had the Crown jewels melted down and Charles 1st executed to destroy the divine right of Kings he had the Royal Collection flogged off to do away with the propaganda value of that collection. We are allowed to continue to enjoy Trooping the Colour, the Lord Mayor's Show, Changing of the Guard, Yeoman Warders, State Openings of Parliament, to make us think our History has been stable for a thousand years. When it hasn't. Bread and Circuses.

There’s something about watching the Guards March, that no others country can match. 👍👍

Poor drill, arms at different heights, broken step as if crossing a bridge (listen to the footfall).. sadly most nations are far better. China particularly Beverley.

@@Perseus7567 Just listen to the step, they're all over the place. We have to stop living on past glories. The RAF won't employ good locals and the RN have about 6 ships, excluding the 2 carriers both of which are unserviceable. We can't recruit because conditions are now so poor. Google is your friend. The UK needs to pull its finger out... sharpish. The OP states 'no country can match.' Check out the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology Militia. A group of student seamstresses in their Territorials are far superior at drill. The Chilean Civil Servants are also much smarter... It's ridiculous how low we've sunk. And I say this, with sadness, as a 34 year veteran.

And to go with the title of the video the 1st march heard is aptly called “The King’s Guard” and it’s super😎 This is indeed preparation for the King’s Birthday Parade aka Trooping the colour. There are full dress rehearsals the two Saturdays prior to the main event on the 15th of June. They already look and sound fantastic😊 Nobody does it better!
Thank you for sharing this video👍

Look at that the suns out, it must have taken hours all getting ready, hob nail boots polished, buttons gleaming, bear skins all upright and marching with the band. The Queen would be so proud of them still. She wouldn’t have missed a thing, she noticed everything that was amiss. I miss her Majesty still. 😢
