- We did spend almost 2 weeks hiking in Sarek. We mostly went off-trails. I think Sarek is the most demanding terrain in the continent Nordic Countries. Great trip, but hard hiking with bogs, mountains, willows, endless rock fields and a lot of glacier water wadings.
Thanks for a wonderful video.
Thanks Caj! Beautiful video!
Thanks, next time I will do better.
Great video.!!
Thank you!
Love Sarek cant wait to go back there! Good video keep it up!
Thanks man! I love that place too!
This was awesome! Just came back from Swedish Jämtland and it´s a little bit like this but I never went off-trail, would be cool to try next time. Tack så mycket för filmen, mvh hälsningar från Sverige :)
Thanks. You need to go off-trail. That is the best 😊
Nice Video of a nice trip!
Nice one guys! Can't believe how much time off you get, to make these adventures happen! Looking forward to joining you all again for another adventure next year! Best from Tom & Fan
Tom Watkinson Thanks, maybe we see next year again at Swedish round-up.
Kiitos! Aika hyvä yleiskuva Sarekista!
Myös mukavaa kuvaa vaellukselta. Pidin erityisesti noista still -kuvista.
Great work Caj!
Tack för fan
Nice!
wow, that jump @17:49 is something I probably would be too afraid to do! That stream @18:20 also doesn't look too friendly
I've came across your YT channel ~2 weeks ago, when trying to find info about Ivalojoki and Repojoki - I'm planning to go there this year, if the virus will allow us to travel. My plan is to first to hike west from Ivalo through the Hammastunturi and hills around the Lemmenjoki, and then to go south to Repojoki and packraft downstream to get back to the Ivalo airport. I'll need to avoid rapids, because my packraft is very lightweight (Supai flatwater), but it is also very light, what helps when hiking.
I've already hiked around Hammastunturin alue 2 years ago, but the combination of broken jacket and rain kicked my ass - when it would start raining it wouldn't stop for 24h. The scenery is beautiful and gentle, but weather conditions were more challenging then in Iceland! :D
Anyway, thanks for sharing your adventures!
Thanks for your message. Yes those wading places are dangerous and one needs to know how to do it safely.
You will have great trip, good plan. Have fun!
Great video! Longing for Sarek!!! Nice short focus depth! What camera and lens? :)
Thanks. I had Nikon D610 and Sigma Art 35mm 1.4. Now I don't have those anymore, I have the Z6 and some Z lenses.
Awesome adventure! Stunning scenery & some very challenging terrain, did you carry a full 2 weeks of food with you?
Lezleys Adventures Yes, we did carry everything.
👌🏼

Thanks a lot for this nice video! One question, what was your best memory from visiting Sarek? Will you ever return to hike another route in future? And I noticed that the lady seems to have the biggest and maybe most heavy backpack of you all, did she like to work-out and gain good fitness and to become in good shape, and to increase both strength and good balance training by carrying the seemingly heavy backpack? Congratulations to you all for a great effort to walk the demanding terrain of the wet and boggy Rapadalen! Well and admirably efforts done by you all! Wishing you pleasant and nice hike in future!
Chrl Mlln Yes, I think we will do there many trips. There's so much cool places to see. I think, I liked the high places the most. Having camps really high, beautiful places. That lady is my wife. He had biggest backpack, because she doesn't have a smaller one. I had our food, some of breakfast and tent. So she had some breakfast, snacks and cooking set. I did take heavier stuff to my 45 liter Exped Lightning. My backpack was about 19kg and Katja's 17-18kg. When my backpack was getting smaller, I took stuff from Katja, so my load didn't get much lighter in fitst week.
Chrl Mlln But Katja is used to carry big backpacks because we're packtafters. She is 150cm short, so everything looks big on shes back :)
Caj, then Katja is as strong as an oxe and you're one very lucky guy!
Nice, would have been nice to know the route you took

Hi man thx for a Nice video I’ve seen you have light backpacking guide but what’s in a pack for 2 3 weeks with food n stuff?
You mean, what do I carry in my backpack? Shelter, sleeping bag, sleeping pad and clothes...
Caj Koskinen yeah im going on a longer hike and im looking for inspiration on what and how to pack
@@qnud_caos I was quite minimalistic on that trip. Just things I mentioned and not anything unnecessary. I usually have light down jacket and shell jacket and some light weight clothes.
Okay thanks
At 13:27, what kind of cool chair is that? Is it comfortable? Selfmade?
It is self-made. Just some light-weight waterproof fabric and hiking poles.
@@caide Very cool, haven't seen it before. :)
