Hey I need to give mine a clean. Really don't like doing it so I have been putting it off. I have a phobia of bleach so I just use a shower cleaning product. Great to see you back😀
Thank you so much! Did this today and my shower seal is good as new. I was contemplating getting a new one so happy that this has worked.

I will be honest with you, I’ve done this only once in 3 years 🤦♀️ and it was recently. I was a bit scared to take them out cuz they look so fragile. But now I know how to do it properly 😊. Thank you for sharing. Hugs!
Let me know how it works out for you 💕
For discoloration soak in white vinegar and a little baking soda.
Thanks so much , I’ve been looking at mine and wondering ho to get them cleaned , thanks for sharing
You are welcome
Hey sis , seriously this video came just in time i was just thinking of how can i clean mine and make a video while am at it . Thank u so much i will try mine soon too . I use thick bleach too but i have never taken it out before so this was very helpful for 👌👌
To get rid of the yellowing you can soak in Hydrogen peroxide 👍🏻
Hi there I moved into a flat where there are already BROWN/stained trim pieces... Any tips on where to find replacements? My local DIY store doesn't carry anything but the bottom sweeps for doors.
i need to deep clean my shower i loved this friend
Thanks for watching a little rusty lol but hey better than nothing 😂
Any tips on how to get them back on the glass. I find it really difficult as my shower is half round and have to push the strip part of the way.
Literally did not know I could remove mine 😒 thanks!
Ahh yes glad this video was helpful 💕
I use Tilex without removing seal.
For the ones who wants to avoid harsh chemicals, use a mix of bi-carb soda, water and hydrogen peroxide. Works just as well and zero toxic fumes 🌿
Thank you for this - I have septic tanks and I am unable to use bleach. So that is a great alternative.
@@CandySmith-Marley glad I could help 😊
@@CandySmith-Marleyyou can use bleach with septic tanks and bio cycles.. common misconception.
Isnt hydrogen peroxide a chemical? Like a bleach?
@@chrbx13 no it’s not :)
To clean the inside of the plastic shower seal do you just pour some bleach inside?
Yes , or mould spray works too
Hey hey!!!
Hey hey thanks for being here 💕
If someone sold a non-transparent seal I would be first in the line
😂 I would be there too , they really are a pain especially on the discoloration
But that will just keep the mildew hidden. The design is stupid, it should be closed at the ends, so basic. Planned obsolescence is everywhere. I don’t have a bath so can’t do this. I have autism and showering is painful enough without the awful rental bathroom, with the most ridiculous shower enclosure design with lots of inaccessible bits that are crusty with lime scale or getting mildewed. It’s so frustrating. When I was in a communist dictatorship it was easier to clean the bath, these modern designs are just so absurd and unnecessarily complicated.
Glass shower door seals are not a lifelong item and tend to tear along the bottom and/or side over time as they harden from water chemicals. If one is taking the seals off anyway, replacing them will result in a new, clean seal with new flexible bottom seals.
It’s helpful for people not wanting to lose their rent deposit on these fuckers instead of buying new ones when moving out 😂
That worked well, but the camera work was awful. Maybe zoom out or get a wide angle lens if you will be holding it in the other hand like this.
Thank you , I will look into investing in a different lens 💕
Only came to find out the discolouration solve and you didn't, meh
Yea unfortunately I can’t seem to solve that , maybe it’s something to do with the type of plastic used that easily gets discoloured
