Why her site went down in mid session?
I’d like to know the same thing…I caught enough of the video discussing about a user online on the zoom call and it was inappropriate, then BLANNK! Gone video. Gone channel entirely! Saying it violated YT’s tos 🙌
If ya find out…😊
Inappropriate photo bombing of her stream 😠
@@joyousjoy4ever Damn it, really? That's bs!
so...there is a group of jackazzes that have been "zoom bombing" courts across michigan with short pornographic clips that just pop up...judge disanto's court was hit this morning and has been a frequent target of their attacks and it appears her channel was taken down mid stream...hopefully she is back on line in short order! was watching when it happened...
@@OSGCourtWatch she’s been having issues with that stream since Monday…idk if it’s all been that but… 🙄always one…🙄
So attorney thinks it's a good idea to baselessly accuse the judge of misconduct while asking for a favor?
Interesting tactic. This guy really puts his foot in his mouth.
Actually people do this all the time especially to women(mothers/teachers/girlfriends). They trying to trigger a “fawn” response. He wanted her to prove she doesn’t dislike his client by giving them what he asked for.
@@carolynv8979 So you're saying that attorneys baselessly accuse judges of committing crimes 'all the time' in court. Can you link a source for that assertion?
I would think that most if not all states have rules of ethical conduct that would be violated if an attorney knowingly makes false statements about the integrity of a judge, in particular publicly and on the record.
The judge should have held the attorney in contempt.
A defense attorney who doesn’t know who the chief judge is and apparently doesn’t know the difference between a bench trial and a preliminary hearing. 😮
I would have thought that attorneys would expect to have to be very precise in their language and representations since so much of the law revolves some such details
@@lenger1234 They do. That attorney was trying to pull some shenanigans.
Upset the court?? Accusing the judge of being emotional about his ridiculously stupid statement is REALLY stupid.
Ugh yes that comment was so cringe, and seemed a bit sexist to me
@@Anthro777oh the whole thing was sexist.
That “you don’t like my client” accusation was a common strategy to try & trigger the “fawn” response. If he puts her on the defensive she’ll give him what he wants to prove she isn’t biased and win his approval. You see it a lot from guys who expect women to want to appease them/care what they think. It’s in the same strategy family as negging.
If you notice when they’re going over the schedule conflict he also referred to the other judge as MISS once instead of JUDGE.
So yeah he probably doesn’t think he’s sexist, but it’s there.
Along with his assistance that he’s “clarifying” as though it’s her who didn’t understand what he said. Very Mansplainy
@@carolynv8979 agreed! and gaslighting to boot
Never trust an attorney who's dressed as a flasher.
😂😂😂 I hated his dumb coat
This is a terrible attorney. If he communicates this badly over a schedule conflict, think how badly he communicates when a defendant's record and freedom are on the line!
He has a lovely coat, which he didn't seem to want to take off.
I honestly don't think the communication issue is on his part. I don't think she is smart enough to comprehend what he is saying. She misunderstands so many things and then goes full Beotch mode so quickly. Very poor judge. She changed the time on him, he missed it, and she is going berzerk. Angry woman.
@@everydayguy3761 It's on the *attorney* to follow up on any scheduling changes, not the court.
I thought the same thing @@Ravensview
He screwed up long before walking in to court today and had likely already pissed off the judge before asking to do zoom. When DiSanto went over the exact wording of the email over the schedule it was made crystal clear that he was supposed to have filed his briefs by Dec 14th since the email was sent out on the 5th, but didn't actually file the brief until the 18th and then sent a second one on the 20th. Part of the reason for ordering the filing of the brief early is for fairness - so both sides have time to fully read and understand what is in the brief. This lawyer putting things in so late was him trying to pull a fast one over on the AGs office. He's either trying to give his client the Lionel Hutz treatment so he can claim incompetent council or he's as dumb as Lionel Hutz. His words and actions today make it seem pretty clear like the latter.
Wow, this ATTY is unprofessional.
This man can’t convince somebody that he didn’t get an email, he sure as fuck isn’t gonna be my lawyer
That inmate in the beginning of the video really looked like he was wishing he had some popcorn, lol. 😂
This would have gone so much more smoothly for him if he had just said "sorry" at some point... He had real difficulty just stating clearly that he had made a mistake and apologising for it.
Seriously. He got an email changing the date and time. He changed the date and forgot to change the time. Not great, but it's just a mistake.
"That's my fault, your honor, and I apologize. What can I do to make sure my clients are represented in both cases?"
Instead, he argues about whether he saw an email and whether the judge hates his client.
When you're in a hole ... stop digging!
@@beaudure01 Likewise when he said "bench trial" not "preliminary examination". "Sorry judge, I misspoke." That's all it takes. He's right, they were splitting hairs, but that's because he was doubling down on his mistake.
You don't have to be a member of the BAR, or even a member of the Law Nerd Herd, to see that the Judge was 100% right in her indignation with this 🤡 attorney 😂🤦♂️😂
Does anyone else think that he came within a hair's breadth of being found in contempt?
Start at 2:20, go back and listen to it again, slow it down if you need to but to me it sounded like he was saying she didn’t like him to zoom in. She interrupted him in the middle of what he was saying so she only heard part of it.
@@Lwah0812she interrupted him because it was a completely inappropriate comment to make, esp., to directly make to the judge herself whilst in the middle of discussing the mistake that he made but which he's trying to put on everyone else.
@@Lwah0812 I've listened to it a few times. It sounds like the attorney says "My client's out of town, you don't like him so you won't let him zoom in, that's why you declined zoom." The Judge responds, "You said I don't like your client, is that what you said?" "Well, no, I shouldn't say that." So, maybe the Judge misheard the attorney. But, if she did, why does he immediately admit to saying it? Why doesn't he say, 'no your honor, I said you don't like him to zoom in' or 'I know your honor prefers these types of hearings in person' or really anything else besides, "I shouldn't say that."
This should be titled, “What can happen when you tell one, small, and seemingly innocent lie!”
Lying to the court is never small and innocent, doubly so for an attorney.
Right?? 😂
he told more than one lie. he implied he didn't notice/read the email setting out the date and time, giving his failure to respond to it as indication/evidence of same and he inflated the importance of the conflicting proceeding by characterizing it as a bench trial , as opposed to a prelim exam, since the former would be more easily adjournable than the latter. he's fucked
keep your lies consistent
@@user-jj1yb7mz9b It also sounded like he was complaining about the multiple adjournments, when at least some (and the last one) was at his request.
Generally not a good idea to "go at it" with a judge. This attorney made a foolish statement and then dug himself deeper instead of apologizing and then shutting TF up
Exactly!
He TRIED to explain himself and apologize but she just wouldn't accept it.
That's why she's a judge and he's still an attorney.
He had screwed up before even getting into court that day and thought he would just get what he wanted without any effort. He ignored not only the time of the hearing but also the filing deadline of Dec 14th for his briefs. Filing those documents late only prejudices things against the state because he had time to read their documents and formulate a response before they got a chance to even see his stuff. Filling a second brief the day before trial is a sure fire way to piss everyone off since now the AG's office has to scramble and try to parse whatever he submitted hours before the hearing. Even if he only filed something that was one page long it may require them to spend hours to look up and provide the case laws that refute whatever is mentioned.
@@richdurbano Except, he didn't try to explain himself and apologize *truthfully.* He just kept lying more and more. He lied about having seen the email. He lied about having a bench trial. He lied about being before the Chief Judge. Of course the Judge isn't going to accept him lying over and over. Her job is to keep an accurate record.
Attorney Overcoat found out exactly why you eat the crow when it's fresh and tender.
That attorney will have some serious chew marks on his behind for a long time.
Don't let the courtroom door hit ya where the Judge bit ya! 😂
He just cannot accept that he screwed up. He is probably the kind of person who always blames everyone else for his bad decisions.
he thinks because he's an older man he can wag the judge but he's messing with a pit viper
Right. All he had to do was say sorry I messed up. She would have left him alone and saved 2 hours of docket time.
He also kept wanting everything off the record so it did not show his actions
He had more excuses than a meth-head
I bet back at the office he'll blame his para or assistant or anyone else with even a passing glance at his scheduling.
Judge DiSanto schooled this attorney that we are ALL accountable for our words, and that when someone makes a mistake it's not anyone else's fault, and it's a very bad idea to throw a childish hissy fit when you don't get your way. The entitlement of Attorney Overcoat is boggling.
I’m glad someone mentioned the overcoat. I feel like he’s about to walk out to go to his car at any moment.
Perhaps he needs that coat now since a great chill came off Judge Desanto before (& after)she stepped out.❄🌬
It gives off a bit of a creepy vibe, doesn’t it?
@@naughtystep285Looks like something John Gotti would have worn!
The defense attorney is a liar! Ha haa 😅 this guy is a real piece of work. His clients need to rethink retaining him. He's in deep trouble. SMH.
He probably went home and yelled at his wife. Allegedly.
And then made violent love to his wife, fantasizing about Judge DiSanto. Allegedly.
and probably kicked the dog. allegedly
She does not dislike the client. She may dislike the attorney. Allegedly. :D
Everything he is saying is a clear "you problem" not the court's problem. He absolutely meant what he said. It was a snarky comment fired off because she didn't just give him everything he wanted without question.
This proves you don't have to be the best or the brightest to get though law school and pass the Bar Exam.
The client has a criminal matter before this court and wants zoom cause “He moved out of state?” Thought bond conditions were basic on not leaving the state without the court’s permission.
I was under the impression that the defendant lived out of state to begin with.
I think the atty said “moved out of state” but he said so many things, then said directly contrary things, that maybe he got that wrong too lol
Judge DiSanto just gifted this attorney’s own ass to him this year for Christmas!! 😂😂
Well, she really won’t like his client now. 😬
🤣🤣
Right? 😂😂😂
Is the guy at the bottom his client? 'Cos he's staring at the screen like this is all very relevant to his interests and not in a good way.
That’s the sad thing.
@@Tindometari He doesn’t look too happy. 😳
Wow, this is a stupid attorney. He could not remember different hearing types- because he was talking too fast?
"I didn't mean to upset you" is in the same non-apology category as "I'm sorry you were upset", vs. "I apologize for my inappropriate action (which was the reason you were upset)".
Absolutely hilarious
why didn't the lawyer just ask the judge if she was on the rag? That lawyer needs to learn to apologize to the court and shut up. I have run into lawyers (several) like him that feel they are the ultimate authority on everything.
THAT was hilarious!
It has to suck to be one of the other folks whose case is coming up seeing one attorney spinning the judge up.
The LARGE mischaraterization of words this guy is using is tripping me tf out. He's totally lying and waving smoke around 😂😂😂
That’s what lawyers are good at, spinning the details in hopes someone forgets the truth. My opinion is that the client wasn’t showing up so the lawyer was trying to bide some time to get the client to court. Was the defendant able to leave the state? That defense attorney better get paid and well.
Don't EVER MESS with judge DiSanto thats one very sharp cookie, she will have you eat your words within the blink of an eye
He's so disrespectful
I think the lovely Judge just let the entire world know she is tired of idiots testing her… pissing off people in robes is a gutsy strategy..
And there are ways to play that kind of brinksmanship in the right cause. This was neither one of those ways nor one of those causes.
he keeps digging himself into a deeper hole!
The attempted coverup is always worse than the mistake.
What a way to get on the wrong side of the Judge!!. It's one thing to think it but dangerous to say it. Then argue with everything she says. This attorney is unreal. 😂
Drug testing is very necessary apparently even in court, this guy is still intoxicated from the night before that is also the reason why he missed the email obviously..its a bench trial because she is sitting on a bench in front of me 😂😂
This attorney is a beauty. I "did not process" the time change = you messed up. It is a "time issue", it is a "you made an oversight" issue. And you expect the court to solve it for you. Incredible. *edit* OMG now he is confusing bench trial and a preliminary exam! Whoa - caught in a huge lie.
Yeah, I think she misheard him on the "you don't like my client" thing, but he definitely was saying bench trial on purpose to try and pressure her into granting his request since the court usually will defer to the higher priority hearing on conflicts. He also did a terrible job clarifying his statements in regards to the "don't like" situation.
Amazing how much trouble a simple 'It was my screw-up, Judge, I apologize' saves. Stings, sure, but avoiding that makes things worse.
@@gooberthoreau I thought similar to what you said about trying to manipulate to get what he wanted.
How in the hell did this guy pass the Bar?
could it be he has taken on too many clients and cant figure out which court with which client hes supposed to be in?
is he a court appointed lawyer?
woe be anyone relying on him for representation
Judge DiSanto is almost too patient and unbiased, IMO. There are so many times I'm yelling at the video, "find him in contempt!"
Is it me or is Jose facepalming? 😆
Also the dude in jail, he probably can't believe what he's seeing!
All those people logged in on Zoom must have enjoyed the Show going on. BUT... I am sure they were a little apprehensive if their Case was being called next.
⚖Zoom Hearing = Court Chaos. Defendants appear half-dressed, laying in bed at home, rolling their eyes and gesturing, muted; witnesses eat and play with the dog; attorneys, seemingly distracted, fail to control their clients, appearing to conduct outside business during testimony. This practice of out-of-court appearances, albeit necessary during the pandemic, now prevents judges from protecting a defendant's constitutional right to a fair trial under the 6th Amendment. Without personal appearances by all parties and counsel, together with the requisite judicial temperament to maintain decorum in a charged courtroom, Lady Justice herself becomes our sacrificial lamb.⚖
This was pure gold😂😂😂
He done f*cked up in multiple ways. He should've just owned up to it.
This man will do anything other than say you’re absolutely right I made a mistake. I don’t know why I said that and I apologize.
If I was a defendant waiting for their case, I’d be pissed & scared.
Judge should've held him contempt! Report him, also to board!
Can’t tell you how much I appreciate your videos. You never leave us hanging without a result even if you have to follow up on future hearings. After wasting a couple hours watching another creator’s video with no result and my frustration level through the roof, I appreciate you even more. A sincere big thank you and Merry Christmas to you and your family, OSG.
I think he'll be paying attention to his words forever with her. Wasn't smart, she'll have to be watching him now, for her own sake. lol
At some point, I hope the defendant realizes that it's time to get a better and more professional attorney.
That's outright slander!! I hope the law board brings the defense attorney up on sanctions/charges or whatever they can.
Oooh I knew it was coming too! That just flew right through her. She has zero tolerance for anyone trying to pull anything over on her.
The fact he states he "hoped" the other matter would be bound-over/finished with shows he was aware of possible conflict. Conciousness of guilt, isn't it when suspects use words that imply foreknowledge?
I would be surprised if this attorney wasn’t held on sanctions. WTH was he thinking saying the Judge didn’t like the defendant.
I absolutely love her!she says what we are all thinking!
Most of the time, I get aggravated w how much Judge DiSanto let's ppl disrespect her w constant interruptions but she didn't tolerate it from this attorney! I'm glad. He was so patronizing and couldn't just shut his trap to end the drama. He just had to keep getting the last word
She's tolerant for people representing themselves because they don't know better.
Attorneys are officers of the court, and they should absolutely know better.
Judge 👩⚖️ Disanto Is No Nonsense And A Strict Law And Order Judge. We need more Judges 👨⚖️ Exactly 💯 Like Her. Excuses And Unprofessional Conduct Unbecoming of An Officer Of The Court Is Not Allowed
That attorney shows zero accountability… damn! Making excuses and either legitimately confusing distinctly different trial settings(?)
Or intentionally jerking the court around
If it’s option, number one, I worry about the attorneys competency, and if it’s option number two, I worry about the attorneys competency, integrity, and literally everything else.
Not to mention th “confusion”
Over the time and date. Confusion is unlike likely as the story changed so many times
No matter what, not a good look for this attorney today.
I’m not surprised that the judge got mad. The reprimands were absolutely necessary.
It's clear he blew it off, and he saw the email. What a jerk. If you screw up, you screwed up, go there, and tell the truth. The worst that can happen is nothing worse then would have happened. But, to go in a lie is just Stupid
Judge DiSanto is such a good judge. She listens and doesn’t miss a thing.
Man what a piece of work. Mis-remembered 😅 so many things. And yeah, he said the judge didn’t like his client. I call flat out lie about the bench trial versus the hearing. My jaw dropped as soon as he changed the reason for the hearing. And the cherry on top was the fact that he requested that the other hearing be rescheduled from 8:30 to 11:30. If he had paid attention and left everything alone all would have been fine. I actually feel bad for the plaintiff as the judge is not happy with his attorney.
When your attorney looks like John Gotti ca. 1990, maybe rethink your legal counsel.
Sounds and smells like Bulls##t coming from the defence attorney and it’s not cutting any ice with our judge DiSanto
"It wasn't me, it was the one-armed guy!".
I've said it before and I'll say it again - I don't know how Judge DiSanto puts up with this. She gets FAR more than her fair share of shit from defendants, lawyers and anyone. I really admire her abilities and tenacity.
She's smokin' 🔥🔥 too. Maybe it's just me, but 😍
@@jamesr5719 very true. youre not wrong - she is quite lovely
@@crunchyfrog555 And she's married, so there's that too. But, Judge DiSanto is probably one of a handful district judges in Michigan you don't want to piss off (Judge King in the 36D, Judge Simpson in Washtenaw and Judge Middleton are also at the top of that list).
@@CreightonRabs Sure, and so am I. I never said I wanted to date her. I just said she was pretty. But yeah, it's quite funny how she always tend to get the shittiest of defendants or lawyers and yet she can handle them with aplomb. Yet people still try it on.
The more this defense attorney talks the deeper the hole he is digging himself in front of Judge DiSanto.
I have never seen this type of tactic before and frankly it does his client no justice-
Even if Mercier is right (and she doesn't like his client), you don't say that in open court. Also, here in TN, the attorneys ask one another "What is this judge like?" You figure out quickly certain judges are prickly and strict. Nobody here would have done this.
Judge Simpson is private too, i hope they don't shut theze all down, someone al always has to ruin things.
This is why we can't have nice things ...
How dare he accused our favorite judge of discrimination! This is not an attorney I would want defending me.
If I was the defendant after all that, I’d be worried about my attorney’s competence and how fair my hearing might be.
His pride is getting the best of him.
Bench trial, preliminary exam, sentencing, arraignment, same thing ...
"Take it easy, I'm pre-law."
"I thought you were pre-med."
"What's the difference?"
Love ❤️ the commentary you made in the annotations over the video in that it was so incredibly balanced and fair to *both* the judge and attorney. I like how you are able to see both sides’ positions and be equally-handed in finding favor or fault to both sides - no bias here in this case 👍 which is refreshing since most channels pick one side or the other and make it obvious in their commentary.
Thank you so much!!
He’s incapable of describing the court in any non-sexist capacity. Always these coded language like “upset the court”. The court is not upset. The court is speaking to you in a professional and corrective tone. There is no emotion, you keep seeking emotion and projecting emotion, whether there is none.
The words he needed to state/acknowledge was that he “intentionally disrespected the court.”
Report that attorney to the bar. Can’t even read a calendar.
"...because you don't like my client, Judge..."
He should have known right then, that's where he screwed up. Huge mistake.
Thank you for posting so many of her videos. She my celebrity crush now. 😄.
Oh boy, I bet he regrets saying what he said! How do you think a judge is going to react when you tell her that she's making his client appear in court because she doesn't like him?!?! Come on buddy! He should have tucked her sctail between his legs and just apologized instead of trying to argue with her! Also, it's not the judges fault that you didn't read the email correctly and you didn't change the time! My guess is, he was planning all along to come in and play stupid about the time and askbif the case could be adjourned again. Then when the judge shot that down he got mad and made that comment out of frustration. Well that led to really p!ssing off Judge DiSanto and she was NOT letting it slide. I'm glad she took the time to contact the other judge and put him in his place! I want to see the hearing at 1 pm! That should be very interesting!
Typical arrogant man accusing the judge of being emotional as a way to disregard her very appropriate angry reaction. Dude you made a mistake..own it.
He put himself in a bind. If you listen to what he is saying he is in the third day of another case. So he double booked himself in the first place, Then he went to the other trial still believing that this trial was at 8:30 a.m. and changed that one to 11:30. If he would have stayed with the other case at 8:30a.m. he would have made this one without a problem. He screwed himself by thinking he was being clever.
It looks like the defendant is thinking, oh crap! I want a new lawyer!
Musta took a week before that attorney could sit down after that paddling. 😂😂
At first, i kinda felt bad for the attorney because of hard Judge DiSanto was going on him. As it became clear that he was pulling wool over her eyes, in retrospect she was extremely kind and patient!
This Atty has been in this court before Judge D before and he does have an attitude issue. Now he gives her 3 or 4 different stories and keeps digging the hole deeper. I love Judge D because she doesn't let egomaniacs walk all over her but she also tends to allow probation violators to walk all over her. If you're going to hold an Atty accountable, do the exact same thing with defendants.
This attorney needs to check himself.
Effectively calls the court biased… then lies about what he said when they come back. If I were the client, I’d be asking for a change of representation.
You can boil some tea off her head. She has every right to be extra hot with this attorney making things up to make it ok so he doesn’t have to show up to court.
Attorney also filed briefs 6 days late. We’re due on 14th defense filed last brief on 20th a day before hearing.
Love judge D! I agree she was part of the reason it dragged on, but I’ll be damned if she didn’t work out an agreeable solution. Not much gets by judge D!
His failure to do his job doesn’t constitute an emergency on her part.
He should have stopped defending himself bc it’s not getting him anywhere unless documenting his argument is what he is trying to do.
As she's scolding the attorney, the looks on the faces of the others on screen- it reminds me of students sitting outside the principal's office, hearing what's happening to another student inside. LOL
That lawyer is lucky he didn’t get held in contempt of court.
Wqw, this guy really stepped on his "you know what"!
He left the default time of 8:30 on his calendar? Never punched in the 11:30? 😂
Yesterday saw a vid where the def attorney made sure to wish her a merry christmas and she wasn't really having it. "Give us our laptop back" was pretty much her response.
She was laughing as was the attorney
I love this judge way more than normal.
18:01 she stretched it this long because she was scrutinizing his story and wanted everything on the record. And I can see why.
Can't imagine sitting there listening to my lawyer argue with the judge!
Just an irritated person because they didn’t get their way.
I have seen similar issues in other courts. Judges DO NOT like it when someone comes in and asks the judge to mess up their docket because they made a mistake. Judges are not into it. All that said, this attorney really fucked this up right out of the gate. You are asking for a concession, you don't go in hard on the Judge when you need a favor of the court.
