Lecresia Campbell (last clip) was a classically-trained coloratura soprano! She influenced some of the greats. I recommend checking out some of her performance. Stand Still or We Magnify Your Name.
One thing about the Indian woman: she is singing what in western music theory would be microtones, meaning that there are just more notes in the octave. This doesn't mean it's any less impressive, just that there are more discernible frequencies for her to hit in her (comfort) range , making all those crazy long lines possible, without running out of notes or repeating previous ones. It would of course be very hard for even the most trained western singers, it's their culture, our ear wasn't trained for it. But I can certainly appreciate it, my goodness I keep repeating it. &The last clip destroyed my soul. I don't want to disrespect the Lord, but that would be an epic sounding soundtrack to a movie or series about an omnipotent Comic Book character.
@@paganpoetry5931 technically she’s not amazing. Her technique was really lacking and wound up with her having to have surgery in the late 2000s due to her like of shrieking. Her range isn’t particularly big for her vocal type either. She’s got one of the most interesting voices ever in pop music but it’s because of her tone and her style of singing, not because she’s a technically great singer.
Loooooove the last one here. The agility and ease, but also how pleasant it was. It wasn't like someone just yelling those notes, she was generating a beautiful sound, gorgeous
The indian singer is named Kaushiki Chakraborty! You gotta see that full performance at the Darbar Festival! That entire thing is actually all improvisational - the words she is saying are similar to "Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do" of Western music. You should definitely check out some more Indian and Pakistani singers - Kaushiki's performance there is great, also highly recommend Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Abida Parveen at the Coke Studio!!
HAHA! I adore how you imitate low notes. It's cute. If you watched the part 1 of this compilation, there's a man who can hit the lowest notes which are off the piano.
Speaking of great voices, you should react to zhou shen! He’s a Chinese singer that’s probably on par with Dimash in terms of vocal insanity, as well as just being emotional (: some of my favorites from him are itsumo nando demo, dalabengba, big fish (solo and a duet), memory, time to say goodbye, and many more
In the female bass (contralto) clip, Alecia actually goes down to C1 a few seconds after it was cut! That’s the lowest note I’ve ever heard from a woman. There are plenty of women with notes in the (C2-E2) range but stuff below is very rare.
You should try Avi's solo music. Avi Kaplan (former bass for Pentatonix) has an awesome career on his own. Change on the Rise and b/w video of I'm only getting started is a good way to get statred. He also has an alien voice. Besides blowing speakers with his basso profundo, he is a master at singing overtones which is two notes at same time. Check it out. Subscribed for this and other reasons. 👍

Speaking of "alien voices", at some point you might want to listen into what is France's biggest music export over the last 10 years (she also sings in Spanish, Italian and Portuguese ... ) czcams.com/video/mXlyDwywq3Q/video.html She's big in Europe and Russia, as well as Latin America (and of course French speaking Africa). Even in Japan. The only people who havent heard her name tend to be Anglos ... (and Chinese, I guess).
Angels: how much agility you want in this Indian woman
God: .....YES *-*
I swear it was like a violin but x10!
