The TRP is where it's at. And frankly, the aggressiveness of the grip is a big seller for me. Love the way it's bites my hand and stays in place

I own this and it’s fantastic. Super accurate, great in hand, low profile, and the sites are brilliant especially in the dark.

Two tweaks i would've preferred from the factory: an RMS cut, and those front serrations would look good extended onto the sides of the slide.

So first thing man thank you for the content it is much appreciated! Now I was in my local gun shop yesterday and came across the Tisas Double stack 1911's I saw the price and immediately had a ton of questions. However I'm not familiar with this brand and one would be skeptical at this price point, but the store owner claimed they were great as did his associates 🤔. I don't own a 2011 at the moment but definitely shopping for a first one. I am a dad of 6 so I am definitely on a budget lol. I'm hoping you are going to do a full review on these soon because I am very interested! Thanks again man...

I have the original Emissary in 45acp. No issues, accurate etc. However people I know who bought the 9mm version had issues. Hopefully this "black" version will catch on better than the original color.
Would love to see a manufacturer come out with stack and a half mags in 40/10mm and 45,
Can you imagine how awesome this would be in 10mm with a stack and a half mag that would barely change the width of the gun,

Nice pistol. I like the trigger profile. But it's a shame it's plastic. I would like the same profile in alloy with 3 holes through it.
Why tacticool it out with a rail , slide serrations and aggressive grip but leave out an optics cut. Just go all in at that point

I tuned mine to 2 lbs and swapped to steel trigger and bow.
Between the Emissary and the new TRP which would you recommend? Pros and cons
TRP has ambi safeties and more aggressive grips checkering and magwell and I think 3 dot lamps vs the 1 dot u notch. So a little bit nicer features but this is a pretty solid offering for less money

I think it's cool. The bull barrel keeps it out of USPSA Single Stack, but can you use it in CDP?

yeah 5" bull barrel guns have a hard time in sport.
Only issue is drilling and tapping the mainspring housing for a magwell.
Frag pattern aftermarket parts aren't a thing.
you could swap it for a 2 piece kit from someone else easily enough.
@@TheHumbleMarksmanKinda wish someone would make a 170pf single stack tuning vid. Follow up with a 125-130pf 9mm load and tune a basic gun for CO.
Baseline with Federal primers. Focus down the shooting experience. Reliable ignition with the goal of returning to zero as best you can with springs.
Not everyone wants to c9mpete, but that doesnt mean you can't try a few things to better enjoy your public range sessions.
I think a lot of shooters miss out what they can do to optimize their shooting experience bc they need it explained to them in small words.
The self defence thing, just leave to the side. Thats a factory gun shooting factory ammo.
Roll small batches of ammo, try springs, use a chrono, print little groups at whatever speed to whatever distance.

They do, the two tone is offered in 5” with or without the rail. I saw one at a LGS a month ago.

How would you compare this to the BUL Armory that you shot?
Bul has better controls this has better slide/frame fit. The controls on this - while MIM - don't feel as squishy as the Bul.
Sounds like I can’t go wrong either way. Bul seems like a great value but love the sights and rail on the Springfield. Thanks

Everyone complaining about not having a red dot are LARPers. If you can’t shoot irons, you can’t shoot.
How capable do you want to be? Inside 10 yards there is no difference - beyond 15 - the difference is impossible to ignore
Saying that as dogma means you don’t understand how to use them because nobody who knows how to use them and can shoot iron sights well says that
Full length guide rods...why? The only thing they do it make the gun more difficult to take down.

Every time a new gun comes out I can tell which CZcamsrs got contacted by the company way prior because all the videos come out the same day. X company told you not to release the video until x time on x day, they release their video, then the guntuber videos on the product comes flooding in.
This is not a new gun though it’s been out a while I believe

I lived in Illinois when Springfield and Rock River tried to sell out the state’s gun store and gun owners, and I haven’t forgiven them. They never came clean, did a lot of PR posturing, and haven’t had a change in ownership, so nope, not forgetting or forgiving them. There are plenty of other gun companies out there.
