Edit: Today I learned you dont have to beat the first boss to get 100%. Huh.
A few thoughts:
I had no idea you could get an extra air kick in the underbelly, let alone that you can use it without the sun greaves.
It's surprising how many health points you can get, considering they're never really needed. Same goes for the aspects that help you heal.
Does movement get faster once you have solar wind? Does it get slower or stay the same? You can Bhop either way so I'm not sure.
As far as I understand, you can't use soul cutter when you collect it at first because you need strikebreak, which is funny to me.
This is a really cool speedrun, good job!

Jeez! I didn’t realize the speedrun had become this optimized now! How do you do the backflips so consistently? I feel like understanding how to do that would open up a lot of movement options for me
For the ones straight out of slide, it's just practice. Important to note that you can't turn around mid slide, so you can hit the back input as early as you want as long as the 2 jumps and the forward flick are timed well.
Out of bhops and solar wind, I tend to do full rotations ending in the direction I wanna jump instead of flicking the stick; helps avoid landing with the stick neutral and killing all your speed while maintaining the vast majority of your momentum even if your timing isn't spot on.
Does throwing the sword at 7:30 actually do anything or is it a swag strat?

And here I was thinking my time of 1:11:37 was something to be proud of .3.
Although, tbf, that's without OOB or any of these fancy speedrunning techs, like ultrahops or ultraflips; I really suck at pulling those off consistently. Maybe with enough practice I could get there, but I dunno if I have it in me to commit to something like that. I can already feel the carpal tunnel just thinking about it.

Awesome run, hilarious when you took the time to put on the outfit. I'm amazed at all the movements and strategies people have been able to find for this game. For a normal 100% run some of the items took mt dozens of minutes if not over an hour to get. I may have lost track, but do the small keys and 16th health fragment not count towards 100%?
Edit: Nvm, you got all the health fragments and minors keys aren't counted.

What do you to get back in bounds getting into the soul cutter area do you need to be a certain height on the wall to clip back in? Also are the inputs the same to clip into that area like you do to get out of bounds and hit the switch in the twilight theatre?
So i managed to figure out what i was doing wrong so when i was trying to clip into the soul cutter elevator right i was not clinging in the right direction so i was holding the cling button and moving the stick to the left instead of the right.
how do you get back into bounds when trying to get aerial finesse orb? i saw that you slide however is there something else you have to do? i tried sliding and didn't get through.
There's a very particular seam in that wall you have to hit at a pretty particular angle. I don't think sliding is strictly necessary, but it feels like it helps and is obviously faster either way.
Occasionally you'll get wedged in the seam in such a way that you can't move along the outside wall, which means you're in the right spot but you gotta wiggle out and approach from a distance again. You'll never get the right angle from inside that spot at most framerates.
4 wall jumps? Is it movement tech/bug or was it a feature before i played the game first?(yesterday)
By the way amazing work, really inspiring. The movement in this game is nuts and the speedrun community is squeezing out every single possibility the dev gave us. Great execution
It's an upgrade! The one I pick up around 4:30, same reason I have the one kick before picking up greaves.
