About the exhibition pavilion “Gerhard Richter Birkenau” on the grounds of the International Youth Meeting Center in Oswiecim, which was inaugurated on 9.2.2024. What does it consist of? What was the process of its creation, which originated from four historical photos taken in the vicinity of the Birkenau crematorium in 1944 by members of the Sonderkommando?
A conversation with Sabine Moritz-Richter (b. 1969) - German painter, graphic designer, wife of Gerhard Richter, who lives and works in Cologne. For almost 30 years, in addition to conducting her own artistic activity, she has accompanied her husband, watching his creative process.
Complementing the conversation is an interview with Gerhard Richter, which appeared in 2016 in the 𝘍𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘧𝘶𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘈𝘭𝘭𝘨𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘡𝘦𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘨. It is read by: Lech Chodacki and Małgorzata Gwóźdź.
