    The guy has been given a really tough assignment. He either brings a broken experienced Australian team to RWC2023 and they exit, likely in the quarters, or, he builds a new team, gives them some RWC experience in 2023, with a view to the Lions in 2024 and RWC 2027 hosted in Australia, that may exit in the pools. To Australian fans, what's the real difference? Probably there is a future in trying something new. This one will likely hurt, but hopefully, better in the long term. You should be grateful, in my opinion, you have someone willing to do this, and take the shit questions and take the heat, to make AU rugby better long term. It's a tough job being a coach, let alone one who inherited shite and gets to front each week and take responsibility for the losses.

    • @patrickwilliammoore
      @patrickwilliammoore Před 11 měsíci

      Agree. It feels like he wants to give the appearance of “taking responsibility” - but doesn’t mean it. Perhaps to get the media (and everyone else) off his back - he’s so prickly. But they still need to drill him on the specific issues he’s alluding to. I’m sure I’m not the only one curious to know WHY it’s his fault -if only so we don’t repeat the same mistakes.

    In the last 100 years NZ played Australia 177 times NZ won 124 Australia won 45 Draws-8, Points NZ 3928 Aust 2563, Points difference is 195 or the equivalent of 27 converted tries. The wins margin between these two neighbours reflect the management and coaching capability in Rugby Australia, as well as the claim Rugby Union has over sports fan amongst Australians. Take nothing away from how passionate and dedicated the kiwis are to win a game of rugby against the Aussies as shown by the Bledisloe Cup ownership up to 2023. Rugby Union has a good dedicated following in Australia but the bigger share of fans and national attention is shared between Aussie Rules and Rugby League.

    Eddie Jones brief was to perform at the World Cup, he should have rebuilt the year after.Another costly disaster by the ARU, with Dave Rennie being fully paid out of his contract and he was developing players to ensure higher skill sets. Absolute disgrace to put Eddie Jones in charge and his arrogance to the media and fans is astonishing considering his performance. The Wallabies skill set and physicality is lacking, personally I cannot see them winning against Wales. When the pressure comes on I think they will capitulate and the score will blow out! Eddie will hide behind this is a.young team and he has no regrets, yet they will becoming home failing at the Pool stage.
