  • The Centre for the Study of Social and Global Justice (CSSGJ) is very pleased to be welcoming Professor Charlotte Heath-Kelly from Warwick University.
Charlotte Heath-Kelly is a Professor of Politics and International Studies at the University of Warwick. Her research explores how counterterrorism is entering the realms of social care, healthcare and education - blurring the boundaries between national security, social security and civil society. She currently leads a 5-year project funded by the European Research Council called 'Neoliberal Terror: The Radicalisation of Social Policy in Europe.' She has published two monographs, five edited books, and more than 30 peer reviewed journal articles, exploring the expansion of counterterrorism in the War on Terror era into unexpected areas like memorialisation, health, and social care.
Charlotte's talk is titled "Covert Care? Welfare Distribution by Counterterrorism Police and MI5"
The Centre for the Study of Social and Global Justice (CSSGJ) is an independent and critically oriented research centre dedicated to promoting free education.
