It‘s not a matter of race or religion. It’s a matter of moral values. Complicity is compromising moral values and the conscience for money and power. Fear of standing up to the man(system) for which government officials are willing to loose their integrity is yet another factor which perpetuates complicity.
Short, they are greedy, power hungry cowards.
There are also pro-Palestinian protests in French universities , the French government sent CRS (Police force) to evacuate the students who were asking to cut links with the universities in Israel, just as they did with the universities in Russia right after the invasion of Ukraine !

I was in Gaza for Dutch TV when Hamas took power. They could do so because Israel had just put bullets in Palestine Children. I filmed Yasser Arafat holding up the X-rays to prove that the bullets were from Israel and not from the Palestine police as Isreal claimed. Originally I was there to make a story about a Port and Airport that were funded by Holland and built by a Dutch Company to help the Palestinians build their own economy. The port and airport were subsequently bombed by Israel because they never wanted Palestine to build an independent economy. They rather take huge tariffs off anything that goes out of Gaza like jeans and Strawberries. We spoke to a strawberry farmer who was educated at the Wageningen Agricultural University in Holland, went back to Gaza, took soil samples and found out that is was exceptionally good for strawberries. He sells to big brand hotels all over the world and said that he had to move them through Israel and pay a huge percentage just to export them. And this is just one story of many.
