"Hello, citizens of Autodale! You are pretty. Your neighbours, friends and family are also pretty. But sadly, not everyone is pretty. Some are ugly ...We, here at Autodale, do not want "uglies."
This animation was extremely fun to work on. I definitely enjoy doing my own original stuff over Overwatch/Rick and Morty stuff. I hope that this (Like Redone) does well so I can continue doing original animations. It's so much more fun to explore my own personal creativity. Building this world from the ground up was awesome and I'm quite proud of the final result.
This short explores themes of individualism, innocence and brainwashing which were very fun to play with; something I don't think I could do with the restrictive nature of a fan-film. Really hope you guys enjoy it!

The solution here is extreme. But that is okay for a video.
It is good way to shake the audience.
But in general, is there a good reasión why you should want to surround yourself with "ugly" people ?
Some examples of the tags:
Beeing fat goes hand in hand with an eating disorder and psychological problems.
Beeing divorced can have its good reasons.
Beeing a retard can be really dangerous for everybody arround him.
I don't think you should punish those people. Many of them deseve help.
But still you should really take some properties as a warning flag
and ask yourself if it is good for your health to keep them close by.

@@deletedaccount7057 honestly I'd say it's a pretty big difference in this short. The fact that he is depressing not depressed is showing that he needs to die because he is causing others "harm". They don't care how he feels inside, only how he makes others feel.
I will always be terrified of the masks in this art style, but I always come back to these videos because of how well written they are.

Honestly, I think this is my first time learning what Dystopian genre was. When I was younger, I was recommended these Dystopian-based videos, but I never 100% understood them. As I grew older, I understand what the story is and what the citizens of Autodale are dealing with. However, I want to say thank you David for creating this Dystopian-based story (I slowly but surely started to love and understand it) and your hard work put to this. In my perspective, Dystopian is a very interesting kind of genre not all talk of.

The best way to make it stop is to just not be offended, just not caring what other people think or say or say to others. This is true independence. However, it is worth considering the opinions of others to better ourselves

One piece that I find interesting is that the roads are built on top of the graves, meaning that Autodale is literally built on the premise of getting rid of “uglys”
The scariest part of this is that it is somewhat true. People that don’t fit into the norm get bullied and discarded. This is a wake up call

For a little bit more than a week now, I can not stop watching these videos. I am only watching one per day, because they are deeply disturbing. They make me think and reflect and think again.

this is why i love fictional dystopian stories. the giver, the maze runner, this short film, they all give a sense of totalitarianism and it's so interesting to me because of the manipulation that the higher ups conduct... it's so disheartening and the sheer horror is terrifying to me

DrHeavenly Theres HUNDREDS of copies of this joke. At this point its lost all comedic value. Its not funny in the first place when the creator spends so long crafting these magnificent videos and such interesting lore and people make jokes about it. I remember seeing my older brother watching this and hearing it playing in the background as I played with something I don't remember what, just that I was playing. I remembered there was meaning behind it but not knowing what it was, and acting like I knew. It felt like a life time ago when I seen it, I didn't remember it just the feeling.
