  • The unsavory things I have seen on the Western Media has just motivated me more to make videos and show the real China.
During this video I walk through the city of Chengdu, showing you everything- from the people exploring in their own country here in China, to the biggest shopping center that just proves the amazing infrastructure of China once again.
Enjoy this chill video with me as I explore the city.

In the eyes of many, China is perceived as an autocratic nation. However, few realize that in reality, China excels at leveraging its strengths and learning efficiently, mastering these qualities to the fullest. While the rest of the world embraces change and discards the old for the new, China chooses a different path, seeking to revive more of its historical memory. By doing so, it aims to glean greater wisdom from the experiences and knowledge accumulated by its ancestors. This is the true essence of contemporary China.

Depends how do you define "safe". During my early visits to China (about 2 decades ago), I witnessed directly with my own eyes several incidents of pickpocketing attempts. I myself nearly fell victim too at a busy street called Beijing Lu in Shashi. But luckily the crowds in front of me stopped briefly & I felt somebody bumped at my back. I turned around & saw young kids (less than 10 years old) trying to pick my wallet at my back pocket*. They failed & turned to look at their older 3 adult minders who were several metres away watching. They pointed to the potential victims (two young girls infront of me) for them to target next. I couldn't do anything as I am a foreigner alone in the country. And I was reminded by my Chinese friend many times to mind my own business & not to get involved whenever I was in China for my safety. Having said that, I hope the situations have improved a lot presently in China. They should be in view of the many surveillance cameras (as reported) being installed almost everywhere on the public streets.
NB: *Since the incident, nowadays I always keep my wallet in my front pocket.

Hi Lizzy, Thanks for your lovely video Being 20 years in China, everything in your video are reflecting the happy prosperous and harmonious Chinese society as the Chinese golden miracle already gloriously materialized, only because the Chinese Government always persistently prioritized the upgrading of the quality of life of its citizens, and likewise because the Chinese people trust and love their political leaders, which have been elected by the people based on meritocracy. (Yes, unlike what western media will tell you China has 9 political parties and party members are ‘’elected’’ by the people based their own electoral system which is much superior that those in the US and EU which is based on plutocracy and favoring the interests of the 1% elite which also explains why in western countries people do not trust their own Government.)

You make a telling comment about Chinese mamas being so happy. I think they (and the papas too) have such a great life because they are truly cared for by the government, which provides affordable housing and health services, nice parks, and cheap, convenient public transportation. The West likes to launch wars, invade other countries, massacre innocent people, plunder resources, disrupt international order and destroy global peace, spread rumors to discredit other countries, and instill fake news to mislead its own people. Look at the poor security and poor infrastructure in the West. Don’t you think the West should learn from China?😏

Hello, friendly German friends, please remember that China is a huge country, the temperature difference from south to north can reach 30-40 degrees, the highest temperature in Sanya, the southernmost city in China, today is 29 degrees. In the northernmost city of Harbin, the highest temperature is only about zero degrees. Chengdu, where lizzy lives, is in the southwest of China, so it's relatively warm.

Five reasons why I'm not buying this:
      1. Nobody hates his own country like this while glorifying China at the same time and would post that on CZcams.
      2. These accusations only affect countries which have a bad relationships with China. Amazingly suspicious....
      3. A lot of these users changed their identity soon afterwards and were living in Guangzhou or Chengdu, speaking mother tongue Chinese.
      4. As stated above, these postings are not authentic and all sound the same as if they come from the same person.
      5. Last not least: if you adress these users directly and ask them where exactly they are from and if they speak the language (in this case India, Hindi), they know next to nothing about India and don't speak a single word Hindi.

Before I came to China, 11 years ago, (still here) I thought the Chinese ate dogs. I would see people walking their dog on the street and I thought they were just waiting for the dog to get to a certain age before it was eaten, how wrong I was. But saying that, honesty is the way to go, yes the Chinese do eat dog. There is one breed of dog that's eaten and it's bred for that, it is never a family pet, it's bred just like, beef, lamb and other animals that humans consume.
