Some Info to this video:
The video was made in "Building 5" or 4? of the former state radio broadcast of the GDR (Eastgermany) located in Berlin-Treptow Nalepastraße. Its a ruin since more than a decade.
The wrecking ball scene is a reference to a Miley Cirus video.
The song and video could be about superficial "consumism" and throw away mentality.
In one scene they drop their 6 "Echos" out of the window. (Echo - German Grammy, the Trophys are out of glass and are broken now I guess)
The scene where dozens of Amazon parcels synchronous flying out of the windows is epic.
The last scene on the roof of the building is Lars Eidinger, one of the most famous german actors, who is in a couple of Deichkind videos.
Deichkind are weird and i love them. We also have a ton of fake gangster rappers who don't have any worthwhile message. Deichkind are not that.

Well, they started out as a real rap/hiphop band, now they are heavily electro influenced. But over all they are just super critical and anarchistic. Greatest band in these times. You definitely should listen to more of their songs ;)

Finally Deichkind! They are art. Intelligent HipHop from Germany. The MVs always are sort of cringe and their costumes are legendary. Never been to one of their concerts but I heard it’s a totally blast.
Best live band ever!
Their shows are exceptional... Probably only "Daft Punk" and "Kraftwerk" shows are better...

There are, I would argue, pretty much three Hip Hop groups in Germany at the very top leading lyrically and in terms of beats. Deichkind, Retrogott together with Nepumuk and K.I.Z
Honestly, I really can't think of any other groups who currently reach the level of the aromentioned groups.
Rap in Germany became a joke as well! Deichkind is one of a very few exceptions...

The video was released in the same year as Rammstein's Deutschland video. {Edit: I was wrong. It was the video for the song "Wer Sagt Denn Das?" from the same year.] It was honoured as the best video of the year. A decision that I still don't understand today.

Deichkind started as old school Hip Hop rap band. Later some people changed and they go more to EDM.
May be a bit similar to Electric Callboy changed when Nico came to the band.
It's all/mostly german lyrics. But realy good.
