  • What is UP CZcams, welcome to Fred's Full Throttle. Today I decided to change things up a bit, and I want to talk about the worst drivers out there. There are a lot of them, and I think we've all run into many different kinds as we drive. Today I'm going to go over the worst of the worst drivers, from least bad, to the most rotten. I'll be talking through what makes them so terrible, and why I can't stand them. Then so we end on a high note, give a 24 hours of lemons update on our BMW build.
If you've ever been frustrated by how inept, unskilled, and terrible other drivers are, this video will let you know that you're not alone!

    Awww...Yeah... It's Fredday Again...ha ha ha!
    Fred,
Glad you are doing well my friend! This episode had me dying laughing 😆 😂 🤣 because you pretty much nailed it! Your Gawkers are my Rubber Neckers... But same principle 😆
One of the worst for me are the ones that absolutely refuse to let you merge into the next lane when emergency service or some unknown road hazard has the lane blocked ahead.
So forcing the merge at the last minute causes traffic jams instead of everyone allowing some space to let us over and keep the flow going!
The worst are the serious aggressive drivers! Chicago is no joke in this area! I had my fair share of champions in this category!
Sadly, I'll admit that I too have been some of these people after dealing with multiple idiots in a short span of time 😢
Hope everyone is well...👋 Fred Sr.!
    Be well
    -Shane

Hi Fred, This was excellent............... I thought I was the only one who feels this way. I think you need to add that, the nicer the car you drive, the more of the mentioned people you will encounter. If I'm driving an old pickup truck, no one cuts me off or tailgates me (or does any of the aforementioned things. If I'm in my Corvette, I get them all, all at once all in the same place. I'll have someone tailgating me when ALL the lanes around me are completely empty. I especially enjoyed your descriptions. Tool bags, KYJelly on the road, Use the force and self entitle..... : ). I like all these posts, but this one is at the top!

Your last 3 are close to my heart!
Enjoyed the video and think in 52 years of driving I have experienced the top 20.
Some people may even accuse accuse me of some.
Guilty probably of being too aggressive in my younger driving days. The old Muscle Car days of the 1970s!
I’m probably too much of a Good Samaritan, especially when I’m in a Corvette. I look over at a driver and wonder if they’re going to pull out from the Stop Sign just as I do. I wave at them “to go”! I’d rather they go than run into my car.
I don’t like people that don’t use turn signals (even cops) or use them late after making a turn.
Failing people to merge properly or let others merge into traffic by failing to move to the left lane.
MY #1. People at a Stop Sign quickly pull out in front of me as I’m “almost on top of them” and there is no one behind me.
Then they drive slow under the speed limit!
We live in an area that the County population is around 120,000 for 527 square miles.
If you must wait for 2 cycles of a Stop Light, you’re having a bad day!
    That was fun Fred!
I wonder how many viewers were thinking, yeah I hate that or oops, I’ve done that?
    GOOD STUFF!!!

Best video ever. The only real problem I have with your channel……..there is not enough of it😀

Haha, thank you Jon! I wish I could make enough from YT to do this full time, but right now it's still a drop in the bucket. But I plan to grow over time as my channel slowly grows, and have no plans to stop.
Thanks for the kind words, have a nice weekend!

    Fred,
Quite a list! There are rules/laws of the road. If you take these and apply them, it would be safer and more enjoyable for all drivers. My two most annoying are:
"Keep right except to pass" Just the other day I was driving on the interstate and admittedly I typically do 7-8 mph over the posted speed. There was no one in the right lane and 4 cars in the passing lane all doing low 70s. My wife goes WTF? I stayed in the right lane and passed them all.
"Passing on the right just to cut in left and get 1 or 2 cars ahead in traffic." I do enjoy adaptive cruise control, especially since the computer calculates the safe distance. I don't need to worry about adjusting my speed, or braking...very relaxing! I hate when we are in traffic on the interstate, which is moving along decently, and I see someone coming up fast in the middle lane, who is trying to jump up 2 or 3 cars. Why? We are all in the same boat. Now I need to close the gap to an unsafe distance to keep this clown from his leap-frogging! Sometimes even when I close the gap, they still merge in causing me to brake hard to avoid being hit.
Funny you mention snow. I grew up in RI to age 22, then spent 24 years in NJ. I have safely driven in my share of snow storms. Moving to SC was a real awakening. I was hired as Director of Operations for a manufacturing plant. My first week on the job, we had a light dusting of snow. About 11 AM the GM calls me and said that I should consider closing the plant due to the snow. I laughed, but he said "Trust me." I sent everyone home. The GM came to the plant and suggested that we go to lunch. On the 6 mile drive we saw 4 accidents. Arrived at the restaurant, which was closed. He said "Welcome to the South!"

Hi Sully, Your examples hit the mark for me. I too love adaptive cruise control (my new Taco has it), but agree that it leaves a safe distance that's "big enough" for an aggressive jerk to slide into. Agreed that if people just followed the rules it'd make everything nicer for everyone.
Haha, yeah the south and snow, not a good combination!

Same here! I avoid traffic and crowds as much as I can. Moving to WFH a few years ago has done wonders for my stress/health/well being! Have a nice day!

My wife (#8,6) was offended by this video! Ok, not really, but I did turn down the sound so she wouldn’t get upset🤣

How about the ones who are looking down at their cell phone at a stop and don't start moving when the light changes. But the worst for me have been the drivers who tail gate in the fast lane because you are only exceeding the speed limit slightly and they need to go at least 85. So, instead of passing you as the approach, they hit the brakes and sit behind you on your bumper flashing their lights until you move over. One guy did this years ago to me on a desert highway and after dealing with it and getting aggregated, I finally moved over. I then got on his bumper to show him how it felt. I stayed there as he accelerated to about 95. He then moved over for me at which time I slowed way down.
Have not experienced it yet but I am waiting for the drivers who trust Elon Musk (or other manufacturers) to drive for them while they are doing something unrelated to driving. I have seen the videos of sleeping Tesla drivers.
