  • I've been very busy over the past couple of weeks so I haven't been able to upload as regularly, luckily the end is in sight and I can be Back to my regular weekly uploads soon.
    In the meantime have this time-lapse Silver the Wolf, a Character sculpt I made in Blender and zbrush with a bit of help from krita.

    FAQs:
    Q:Do you use a tablet for digital art?
    A: yes, I have a Huion kamvas 16(2021). I wouldn't recommend using a mouse for sculpting/ painting, it's really slow and kinda bad for your hands. A cheap pad tablet is pretty good to start with though, you don't need a fancy screen tablet.
    Q: will you make a tutorial?
    A: maybe, at some point. I'm still learning myself, and there are loads of people way more qualified to teach stuff.
    Q: How do you join 2 objects together in blender and smooth the transition?
    A: Joint the objects with ctrl+j, then remesh in sculpt mode using shift+r to set your mesh resolution and ctrl+r to apply
    Once Again I made a Furry Character sculpt in Blender and Zbrush - Time-lapse as always,
    I spent a lot of time sculpting fur on this one, using both blender and Zbrush.
    this is the first time I've made a furry wolf sculpt I think, But I've made this here character a few times before.

    For those of you interested in how I use Blender and Zbrush at the same time; I'm using the GoB addon.
    here's a vid by Flippednormals explaining how it works: czcams.com/video/2-pFspCbykk/video.html

    I know this video is 9 months old but I’ll comment this anyway. Im a new blender user and is struggling a lot, this is what I strive to accomplish in the near future. This is incredible and you deserve more attention. I usually don’t comment on videos but this is just beautiful. Just by looking at the thumbnail and being a few minutes into the video I’m impressed. Wonderful, outstanding, amazing. Keep up the good work.

    That was really cool seeing how you worked out some of the details in 2D adding the volume to the fur. I'm just getting into 3D sculpting here and watching your work is a real joy!

    Cool technique of using skin modifier to sculpt the fur. I'll give it a try.

    Watching you doing these Models is so inspiring, i am still on the beggining of learning how to do these stuff and i am mesmerized with your work.

    You have such an interesting process!
    I usually work on more realistic characters - stylized ones have always intimidated me but I'm feeling super inspired by some of the steps you took towards the final result. Using the skin modifier for hair and fur is so clever, it's probably obvious but I never would've thought to do it myself. Also painting over the screenshot to quickly visualize the concept was genius!

      thanks, It's the oposite for me, realistik characters are so much harder, so many details and exact proportions to keep track of

    Noob question: what is the reason you chose blender to block out the hair / fur chunks instead of zbrush?

    • @RoseRedTiger

      its a workflow i'm used to and i find it a lot more pleasant than IMM brushes in Zbrush

    Slowly mastering Zbrush to switch to it for good? ^^

    • @RoseRedTiger
      @RoseRedTiger  Před 2 lety

      probably not, with how it's going I'll always prefer blender for some stuff, but yee I'm probably gonna be using Zbrush for a decent chunk of the process.
      Anyway yee, sadly haven't don't have the time and braincells to record audio

    how do you use zbrush and blender in a same time? is that an addon?

    • @RoseRedTiger
      @RoseRedTiger  Před 2 lety +3

      yes, the GoB addon for blender, if you look at the top of the screen you can see there's a button that allows me to quickly import and export the objects I have selected
      Flippednormals have a good video explaining how to set it all up: czcams.com/video/2-pFspCbykk/video.html
