My cat escaped the day I left Iowa for California and I cried the whole drive out. I put an add in my hometown with a reward and lots of blacks cats found but not My Pinky. Finally the night before Halloween he was found. He was in bad shape but alive. That cat ran to me when they let him out of the cage, he didn't run away. I got my baby back and my world is happy again 😁☀️

Dogs in Zoroastrianism Religion :
In Zoroastrianism, the dog is regarded as an especially beneficent, clean and righteous creature, which must be fed and taken care of.
The dog is praised for the useful work it performs in the household, but it is also seen as having special spiritual virtues. A dog's gaze is considered to be purifying and to drive off daevas (demons).
It is also believed to have a special connection with the afterlife: the
Chinwad Bridge to Heaven is said to be guarded by dogs in Zoroastrian scripture, and dogs are traditionally fed in commemoration of the dead. Ihtiram-i sag , "respect for the dog", is a common injunction among Iranian Zoroastrian villagers.
Detailed prescriptions for the appropriate treatment of dogs are found in the Vendidad (a subdivision of the Zoroastrian holy scripture
Avesta ), especially in chapters 13, 14 and 15, where harsh punishments are imposed for harm inflicted upon a dog and the faithful are required to assist dogs, both domestic and stray, in various ways; often, help or harm to a dog is equated with help and harm to a human.
The killing of a dog ("a shepherd's dog, or a house-dog, or a Vohunazga [i.e. stray] dog, or a trained dog") is considered to lead to damnation in the afterlife. A homeowner is required to take care of a pregnant dog that lies near his home at least until the puppies are born (and in some cases until the puppies are old enough to take care of themselves, namely six months).
If the homeowner does not help the dog and the puppies come to harm as a result, "he shall pay for it the penalty for wilful murder", because " Atar (Fire) watches as well (over a pregnant dog) as he does over a woman".
It is also a major sin if a man harms a dog by giving it bones that are too hard and become stuck in its throat, or food that is too hot, so that it burns its throat. Giving bad food to a dog is as bad as serving bad food to a human.
The believers are required to take care of a dog with a damaged sense of smell, to try to heal it "in the same manner as they would do for one of the faithful" and, if they fail, to tie it lest it should fall into a hole or a body of water and be harmed.

Yes, I agree! I never thought I'd love other animals like my dogs and cats but I just got chickens within the last year and I love them so much and am grateful that they teach me new perspectives and just to value life more :)
I'm a grown man in my late 30's, my dog was missing for 6 hours and I thought he had gotten snatched away. We searched the neighborhood, but had no luck finding him. I cried like a baby in my wife's arms when the realization set in I will never see him again. She put an ad for our missing dog in the local neighborhood facebook group, and a neighbor about 2 blocks away had found him. I could deal with him passing away when the time comes, but it was the sudden loss and the feeling he was just ripped away from my life without getting to say goodbye that killed me inside. Interesting how our pets can become so much more, forging that same bond we hold dear with our fellow humans. I've lost family members and not felt the loss I felt when my little friend disappeared for those 6 hours.

Hi all, I Iive in SF and remember this story well from the news. The owner went to a small market & tied Jackson outside for only a short time, but he was gone when she came out. The news later stated he was stolen by a homeless person. I think he was then taken to southern CA when a shelter got him. I felt SO badly for her when this happened! I have a sweet little dog so i understand her pain in losing him. People frequently leave their dogs tied up outside grocery stores & markets here in SF, and when i see that i'm always afraid someone will take them. I'm not so trusting. God bless her & sweet Jackson! So glad this story had a happy ending.

Not to be mean, but I can't help but wonder how the dog was vulnerable in the first place.
It's not explained exactly how he was "stolen."
Perhaps she was careless with him and unfortunately someone saw that as their chance.
People can be opportunistic. If a shot is placed right in front of them to own a beautiful animal like this one, without cost or red tape, a lot will take it.
A dog like this is expensive to buy from a breeder. Plus the shelters/rescues can be very demanding to approve an adoption, and there can also be a lot of competition especially to get an animal like this one.
She is extremely fortunate to get this dog back.
I hope for her sake she learned her lesson and is much more careful with him going forward.
@@michelled.6001 I was wondering the exact same thing. In my city, it's really common for peoples dogs to be stolen if they're left outside of shops or cafes. Youd think people would learn, but dozens of dogs are stolen in my area just to be resold online, and people keep leaving them outside. It's like they're just accessories. It's beyond irresponsible and reckless to gamble with your pet's life like that.
They definitely shouldve clarified in the video instead of leaving it up to speculation. They couldve used this as a cautionary tale, and they sort of just ended up dropping the ball on this story
@@emmxjustine I think they intended to gloss over what really happened here, because the failure to describe or even reenact the supposed "theft" in this video is suspect and seems to reveal that it didn't really happen like that. Most of the time the original owners are not around and that's why there's no info on what happened to the dog. Here they had the actual owner but offer no story? When they love to use stories as much as possible to heighten the sympathy factor (and resulting donations)? Nah the dog might have been "stolen," but they want to use the story and not have her be bashed for being careless, because she left him somewhere she shouldn't have, virtually guaranteed.

@@roachwater a dog like that shouldn't be left alone in a yard for long enough to allow someone to steal them, or inside a fence that easy to climb over. Not trying to be harsh. Most of the time thieves have already cased the theft and are well aware of people's lax and careless habits that leave themselves wide open to tragedy

My dog ran away and then he got stolen for about 3 months. He was a puppy, he ran away from their house and came back to my house😅 at least they didn’t look for him. We did put lost signs but they didn’t give him back. I’m happy we did get my old man back (that was 11 years ago)
