Hello! I live in Sweden and I shot more than 120 moose in my Life. A tip, Cook the roast slowly, in 110 degres celcius and take the meet out when it´s 60 celcius. It´s tender and juicie.
I´m verry impressed of your gardening skills. For me, who dont have green fingers, its a miracle what you did. I lived in similyar climate for many years and I nearly dont belive it. I coluldn´t grow carrots.
Exscuse my poor Spelling, It´s a long time since I Went to scool.
Moose itt´s the best meet and you never get tired of it. If you dont have pigfat just put some Cream in. It really helps.
God luck to you. I nearly lived your Life when I was Young.
Magnus

@Magnus Erickson your English is very good! It's wonderful that you've shot so many moose, my mouth waters just watching this young couple harvesting the meat and I'm over here thinking of the many ways that I would cook it. Nice to have read your comment. God Bless!
@Magnus such great information and what a wonderful life you have had. Blessings to you.
This type of comment makes my heart so happy, to see older generations pass on such valuable information! Thank you for taking the time to share with all of us :)
I love all the different faces Arielle is making while cutting - some of her expressions are hilarious.
I noticed that too.
And sexy
@@kevino1489 easy there Kev
@@Astrohhh he's not wrong...
She seems like that chick from parks and recreations.
Where there's no broken bones ,take a sawzall and cut bones into sections for stock , delicious,
30+ years butcher and chef
Mario Wickel make a decent living?
Went hunt deer here in Illinois. I do the same thing, but use a large antique bandsaw with a 1.25 inch blade.
yes, and 'can' the stock.
Same method I use on human corpses. Sawzall makes it easy.
@mario do you she video on how to ❤️
Loved watching you process the half moose. Love that the meat was shared and will be used, not wasted. What a lot of work, so yes the meat was “free” but the time you put into it was an investment. Thank you for sharing your learning with us!
Although I have a weak stomach I applaud you! This is great. I've never eaten moose before but like bison when I can get it or afford it. I like burger too. It looks like really clean, lean meat; nice! You two are doing a great job on getting things done...busy busy is rewarding. That's a nice meat grinder too. I'm happy to see you succeed in your life! Blessings young folks. Love the dogs.👵🐕💞😊
i guess Im asking randomly but does anyone know of a way to get back into an Instagram account??
I stupidly lost the password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
@Kareem Ezra Instablaster ;)
@Cannon Toby I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im trying it out now.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Cannon Toby it worked and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thanks so much you saved my ass !
It's cool to see everything used and how efficiently this moose fed not only you but the dogs and the chickens. I love seeing this. Thanks for sharing.
I'm surprised your dog's didn't want to eat your meat.
The work that you both have put into your place, is amazing.
Here's a little heads up from a Farmers granddaughter and I processed a lot of deer and bear elk moose,, I used to always use saran wrap and then I found out this little fancy trick that My grampa taught me and then my professional friends who own a meat butcher shop.. You know those little clear pieces of plastic that you see wrapped around Pieces of meat and then it's wrapped in butcher paper.
Well if you get fold over sandwich bagges they're the same form of plastic you can put your one pound increments in there fold over the flap and then wrap it in butcher paper.. Also no extra cutting of the saran wrap
Works perfectly and quite honestly cheaper to do And Absolutely great for keeping freezer burn out if you don't have a food saver which I also have one of them.. The fold over bags are just perfect for having one pound portions And will even hold 2 pound portions When the bag is full...
Sharon Gypsy dove thank you!! 😀
@@SimpleLivingAlaska you are most welcome... I was also wondering did you ever get your Christmas card from me?
hamburgers look good. My tip for today is I always cook extra hamburgers and put them in freezer for a day that I am feeling under the weather or want a fast meal. I do the same for meatloaf and roasts. This saves times and the energy you use to cook.
garden333 In the Summer I always grill out & I will cook an extra dozen burgers & freeze them so my daughter can fix herself a burger while I’m asleep at night.
Freezing cooked portions is a really great way to conserve your energy especially as one gets older (63 this yr, got another 40+ yrs to go, longevity genes in my family).
Cheers!
I'm fairly new to your channel but I am enjoying the content. It's good to see a younger couple working so well together as a team. I always tell my wife she's my #1 member on our team. I had just eaten lunch and started watching this, and now I'm hungry again. lol Cheers!!
Love all the food prep videos! The animal break downs and canning videos are definitely my favorite
After eating fish for 30 days that moose burger will be real good.😋 enjoy
I had one of those victornox knifes in my hands for 17 years they are the best meat cutting knifes the 7 inch one is my favorite it will do most everything
Oh my I never had moose before! I'm glad to see that you added pork fat to it and grounded into burgers please show a video of you making your bone broth
When I die I want to come back as one of your dogs.
Mike Matychuck right!!? Their Dogs eat good!
the size of their legs put into perspective is really cool
The couple that processes moose together, stays together!! Subscribed, you guys are awesome!
The color is soooooooo deep. I can totally feel Ariels excitement at “so much muscle meat”.
Mora is a swedish town and the mora knife was made there, and originally had a wooden handle. It is the swedish multitool, we use it for every kind of jobs.
They are very popular among Sportsmen in the US.
You two are a great team. Really appreciate the team spirit
Great job Arielle heaving that monster onto the table! Looked like a scene from the Flintstones!
Nathan Matter I was thinking the same thing, and picturing what it would be like to eat those ribs!
You are both so incredibly well articulated. I subscribed a few days ago and have been binging videos non stop!
This was so interesting - thank you for sharing. Lots of hard work and you are getting a lot of reward. Really enjoy your videos. I cannot wait to see the garden! Thank you!
Awesome video , brought me back to my youth and processing animals on and around our farm ... thanks for sharing :) .
Love seeing you guys working together on so many projects. Also appreciate what you learned as well as what you would do differently next time.
Great teamwork! I'm so happy for you two. I can't wait to see the variety of recipes you make with the meat. Those burgers looked amazing.
Great job on cutting and processing your moose, appreciate u showing it live for us to watch. Can't wait for the jerky video. I love your life style and your videos.
Congratulations! The results are so cool! Love to see the opportunity to process the moose instead of going to waste! That was a lot of work!! Y’all rock! 💪
I really appreciate seeing how much you guys live off the land. ☺👍
My mouth was watering while you were cooking the burgers! Awesome job processing & packaging !
I enjoyed watching your processing the moose. It's nice to be able to share with neighbors. I'm happy to be able watch your channel.
That was really amazing! Seems like a really good starter sized moose. Can't wait to see a tagged monster moose in the Fall.
That was a lot of work. I really can't imagine how people met some of these challenges back in the day. Big Thumbs up!
Yeah, imagine having to use a hand bone saw and a hand crank meat grinder. Wow.
I am so jealous! Haven't had moose for years and am salivating over here. Great job you two! Enjoy. Shalom and Blessings!
Man, you all are living the dream! I love the channel and have watched a bunch of your videos. You are an inspiration to me for my dreams of an off grid homestead. Thank you for sharing them, I've learned a lot and absolutely love everything you both are doing. Please keep them coming and keep up the great work.
Well, this is going to be a lot of fun watching this channel ! I couldn't have planned a 3 day weekend any better... Looks like a marathon watch for me !
Thanks for showing us a part of processing this moose. Loved to see how you do all that. I would like to see the part of skinning and cutting the moose up next time. Ariël thanks for your honest faces while cutting, I enjoyed them.
I admire your hard working and passionate about teaching us everything you learn ,I appreciate your taking time and sharing experience.it was very cool for somebody who lives in city to watch and learn your life style.i love it and know how hard is it.💐
I discovered your channel about a week ago, I've been binge watching ever since.
I have family and friends that lived in Alaska and/or visited. It's been in my bucket list since I was in college.
OH MY GOODNESS... Those burgers you were cooking looked amazing!!!
A moose is quite a large undertaking. You are doing so well. I am so proud of all the work you are doing on your homestead.
I stop everything to watch you guys. Such informative, interesting, real and often beautiful content. Your hard work and ethos shines through. Really inspiring stuff-thank-you so much!
Anna Jenkins thank you 💚😁
You guys are admirable. I've watched many of your videos but this is amazing. Most Californian wont survive the Alaska lifestyle. Really awesome.
10:22 the shoulder bone you had your hand on makes a great moose call for scraping trees and bush thrashing plus reflecting light like a set of antlers when dry.
When I package meat, I always label the packages with what is inside and the year using a permanent marker. For instance, "Moose Burger 20". That lets you know what is inside of each package without having to guess. It isn't too hard figuring out what you have with the first animal of your first year, but as time goes on, and you get more and more game, you will find that good labeling is essential in keeping thing organized.
I also add RK when it was road kill, vs what I hunted.
They said twice that they're going to eat it all up by fall - they can tell from the outside that it's burger meat or a roast. That's all they made was ground meat and roasts. Also if you see their 30 days eating challenge videos, all they had to eat in terms of protein up until then was salmon. They'll be fine.
The meat looks so beautiful! Great job guys! Thanks for sharing.
Amazing job guys! What a huge blessing this moose will be for you. I have never eaten moose. Maybe one day I will. I ate my first wild boar in Italy, but for me, I wasn't too crazy about the very gamy flavor. The Italians really know how to cook it though.
These 2 are great theyve done an amazing job from when I first started watching them...shes amazing in the kitchen
They're both great in their homesteading skills!! So respectful & nice to each other! What a blessing your lives are🙏❤🙏
Thanks for sharing. Love it!!👵
So wonderful. Saved and perfect food and it looked very yummy. And so healthy for the dogs too.
Congrats on 100k subs!! Great video as always you two.
AWESOME guys, that you were able to use the moose for your meat.. Granted it looked so LABOUR intensive and the end results out way the process.. WELL DONE..
Once again I really enjoyed your video. I hope y’all are having as much fun as I am watching ...
Y’all need a tv show! This is amazing y’all are awesome teachers!
Wow! That’s a lot of work you guys! What a great gift that was.
You guys are great I enjoy so much looking and learning from your video's, thank you.
That was a big job for you both. I bet you were glad when it was finished. Fantastic effort.
What a Great video, I love watching you guys as our Lifestyles are so very different as I live in a Sub-Tropical climate, I am learning so much. Cheers Denise - Australia
Wow, only half of a young moose, and so much meat. Amazing. Well done folks 🥰
This reminded me of growing up and processing beef. It was a family process, everyone had a part to do. Now we take them to the processor.
I appreciate that often, you are talking to each other and not us voyeurs. It feels more normal, like home, not an annoying put-on show. I live off the grid in the mountains and get snowed in often at this time of year, especially Jan-May. Went to Rite Aid for the first time since 2019 today.
Hey guys 🙋♀️ FANTASTIC Channel 👏👍 been watching loads over the past view days and i am sooo glad i found you both, big hugs 🤗🥰
That is so great! That does my heart so good to see y'all putting that meat into your freezer! I won't lie. I got a tiny worried about ya when you weren't able to get one last year. I knew how much y'all were counting on that meat. The Lord works in such mysterious ways!
I love everything ya all do . U guys are living my dream. Yes am a hunter and trapper and fish as a family together . Yes am jealous what u do thank you . God bless you ya all.
Thank you guys I just used your recipe for the celery stock and it was so good thanks
You two did a fantastic job processing that Moose!
You guys are so amazing. Those burgers look great. Thanks for sharing ❤️
I love processing our own meat. The smell is so clean. no freaky smells like store meat.
Lots of work! That meat looks incredible!
By far one of the best channels on CZcams. Thanks !!
I had a small grinder for a while then up graded to a 1 hp. Best move ever. Now I can do 60 pounds of meat in about 20 min. Well worth the investment...
Take care guys
Oh wow lucky you!!! Moose is sooooo good! 110% worth the time to process it!
Every fall, my uncle would go hunting in Northern Saskatchewan. I would help him butcher it and he would always give me some for helping. Great meat. Just found it a bit dry.
Great work ! It’s amazing it wasn’t to hurt and wow 100 lbs from half! I hope you guys get full one in the fall and get double that meat! Also I love that you use every part giving to the animals and making broth! I would love to see a bone froth and jerky video when you do them
Great video, as you were going along you answered most of my questions. Tastes like beef tick. Thank you both from Australia xx 🦘🐨😇
We had moose for the first time back in the fall while in Fairbanks. I made a pot of chili for everyone at the lodge we were staying at. OMG...it is such an amazing tasting meat. I cannot wait to have it again this fall. Hopefully we can keep our freezer full of it once we move there for good in a year or so. Loving that knife by the way. We already have it on our wish list.lol
Looks like hard work - thank you for showing it!
Just another great video, looking forward to the next one - regards from Denmark
I love how much you care for your dogs. I feed raw as well, certainly not Moose, so good on you guys.

Hello, I am your new subscriber here in Fairbanks and I love to watch your videos. Seems like both of you had lots of expertise when it comes to processing organic foods and a good idea to start your own business. I’m not be surprised if one day I can see your store when we pass by in willow and I’ll be happy to buy some of your organic products 🥰 God bless🙏
Beautiful❣ Great job guys.
☮
Nice video and thank you for sharing y’all experience 💞💞
I am a meat cutter and was itching to get in their to give ya a hand and show you some tips.Your brown handle knife is my favorite style. At the 17 minute mark when you had the leg boned,if you have a meat saw even if you only saved the marrow bones that gives great stock. If you learn the bone structure of one animal then all animals are fairly close.Love your ways of sustainability !
What a blessing to get that much free meat, ok it was a lot of work but a blessing non the less.....
Wonderful blog thanks very much love to watch your stuff, please keep it up.
And above it all keep smiling :-)
Wow is all I can say. Thank you guys for sharing this

You guys are a fun couple to watch, are used to live in White horse and we did our moose hunting up in a place called Mayo Yukon.
Good job and wonderful to see that you have and take the time to do the job like you do. I hope to taste Moose meat some time, maybe when I go to Norway or Sweden. Victorinox is so good.
Wow, that is so awesome. Moose is really good. My Dad got one in Wyoming once.
Best video yet... well all of your videos are spectacular. I'd pay to have some of that backstrap and the ground. Your awesome on this!
