Famous people of another era, now most of them unknown. A long time ago I was given the memoir "Reminiscences of Transatlantic Travelers" by Charles (?) Spedding who was once a Purser on the Aquitania. I most remember the author telling about how Lady Nancy Astor (the American who became the first woman to be a member of the British Parliament) and William Randolph Hearst the newspaper publisher who was also involved in radio and movies and who commissioned the magnificent San Simeon estate, HATED each other. The former Purser said that there was a crossing with both Lady Astor and Mr. Hearst aboard the Aquitania and he went on to say that he knew that if the two of them met "...the fur would be flying. They did and it was".
You can see in some of the photos here why the exterior design of the Aquitania was so controversial. Unusually, there was no raised forecastle which meant that from certain angles the superstructure looked too big for the hull. Aquitania was widely described as "boxy" looking.
Excellent video. Images and music in perfect harmony.

I definitely envy those people. There was no ship like Aquitania, and there never will be.
