@@stanenhypen127 basically adult swim is a cable network made by CN (cartoon network) to premiere a more mature show like Family Guy and Cowboy Bebop. These shows usually appears at night (because that's usually the hour where kids are asleep) and in order to scare kids off so they wont watch the show, Adult Swim made bumps. Bumps are basically short clips that appears during break time of a show in order to scare kids off. And to celebrate the nostalgia of the iconic bumps, this trend was born 😁

It’s actually very problematic-
For those of you wondering, [as] (aka Adult Swim) was a nighttime program that came on at 8pm. It was on Cartoon Network, and after all the cartoons played, they played stuff for a mature audience since the kids were meant to be sleeping. So they would warn the kids to stop watching, but after a while they realized the kids kept watching even after all the warnings, so they started saying “or don’t, we don’t care.”
Thank you for the explanation. I am not from the US so I just thought adult swim was some kind of tv channel.

@@ankitasinha113 ‘Adult Swim’ is the name of a tv channel. these videos are recreations of the channel’s bumper for before adverts and stuff. (if you dk what a bumper is, it’s basically a little clip that says the name of the channel as tells the audience the adverts are starting)
I still remember the first bump they put in. Had a swimming pool with a bunch of kids playing, over the speaker is announced "All kids out of the pool, it's time for adult swim!". Cuts to a bunch of adults swimming in the pool with [ A S ] on the bottom.
During the day you had cartoon network, which shows cartoons and anime (dbz, sailor moon, totally spies shows like that) for the kids (no cuts, bruises or blood).
Adult swim is some of the same shows (I only remember dbz specifically) along with sea lab, robot chicken etc, all with the extra bits previously cut out or the small trickle of blood when a character was battling and got injured.
So much fun to stay up late 😂

to those who don’t get this- basically after cartoon network, there would be a channel called adult swim which wasn’t suitable for children, so to get children to stop watching they would make adverts that would scare or make the children feel uneasy without them being scary ,much like the tiktoks here. this tiktok trend is just about making those same adult swim adverts on tiktok trying to replicate the vibes it gives. i hope this helped!

To anybody wondering how they do the water and milk trick, they spelled it out with wax first (clear you you don't see it at first) and the wax makes it so the water can not stick to the surface, sort of like a waterproof material. Not just editing. But there is editing involved in most cases.

If anyone was wondering what [as] means it’s adult swim, adult swim used to air on Cartoon Network, after 8pm when kids were meant to be asleep it aired showing things that weren’t exactly meant for kids it was traumatic for kids who experienced it as it was meant for adults. It would give warning to kids to stop watching but being a kid they don’t like being told what to do, so they would keep watching. They started to add warning but after a few times, they decided to put at the end “or do, we don’t care” that would happen after every warning about not to watch if you were a kid. Hope that helped anyone.

Tbh that one was completely unnecessary, same goes for the graduation one (why position the camera there and she could’ve definitely made it look neater), the bathtub bloody one, and the crazy hair cut one the one with the red wig

@@ghoste767 I swear I've seen that bathtub one before, but without the [AS] underneath, I think I just don't like the ones that have it added on at the end in general, because they feel less impressive than the ones that actually do something cool with the logo instead of it tacked on at the end.
