I don't think anybody could stay so long in a small space without going crazy or killing each other... and how long is each supposed to run the bycicle? Now with 4 people six hours in a row. I"m already fed up after 30 minutes, let alone six hours... EVERYDAY... then I prefer to let the world end.
Maybe tell Jack the history of how the world got to this state, and what the generator does he might go along with it.
SPOILER ALERT! The film ends just before the exterior lights snap on, and the bearded guy steps forward and says “Congratulations, Jack!-You are one of the very few to pass our little test. We’d like to offer you some exciting new career oppportunities: have you ever thought about what it would be like to live…on Mars?”
When I was about 5 years old I had a "dream" where I was told that unless I picked my nose for several hours a day, the world would come to an end. I experimented one day by not picking it, but as the day was coming to a close, there was a severe thunderstorm which brought me back to reality, and I picked furiously until the storm subsided. Just so you know, there are anonymous people out there who really care about your survival.
This story came from the mind of someone in spin class who imagined the importance of the spinning was saving the world.
An allegory about metaphysical religions and how we run around so happy wasting our mortal lifes imagining we are eternity bound until the enlightened individual gets off the bandwagon (bike) and faces the Nothing. True freedom has this price. Acknowledging the doom of our human condition, the anguish of finity and accept the unacceptable, our true mortal nature, our personal extinction. This is the only way to truly sherish our shortness of life. God bless all the mortals! I salute you from México.
What I got from this was the symbolism of our society and how we follow the status quo blindly either because of inertia or out of fear of the unknown and it's probable collapse if we don't go with the motions. So the question at the end can be rephrased as, can we or do we dare escape our current state to go into unknown territory, even knowing that the current state is a cage that goes nowhere? How do we escape a reality we were born into but did not help build or asked for?
Great. I'm stuck forever in a house with people who love to play Monopoly and cards.
Well, this certainly went in a direction I wasn't expecting. Words like god, forever, saving the world, underground, do conjure religious images.
They keep peddling so the machine won't explode and they can keep peddling.
Wow. Very good, The idea, camera work, atmosphere, acting, everything came together great. Kudos to you and your team, hope you'll keep making more.
They have electricity.
I'm glad I found this excellent piece of work and equally happy it was left open
The questions! The unanswered questions! They are killing me!!! This was captivating and really tweaked my imagination. I will be thinking about this one for a while.
Nice plot and very good acting. Reminded me of a similar concept though - it was in a TV series called 'Lost'. there was a timer and someone had to press some button before the countdown ended otherwise something very bad would happen.... Anyone else had the same thought?
Intriguing short and open for thoughtful speculation on what the meaning of the circumstance the people who were obviously prisoners of a sort for whatever purpose. I should think it is an idea to be expanded upon in a literary form such as a full length novel or a novella or even a long form short story. The performers were all quite capable and the production quality very well done.
Alright, at first I was a bit skeptical, but goddamnit now Im hooked! Good shit dude!

This is definite series tv material. It’s just like “Three’s Company” but with four.
