    I didn't need to take it apart, but you solved my problem 💯 I needed to get the rear tray back in. I gently pressed it in the middle and it was stubborn. I sprayed some WD-40 into a plastic soda top and with an old artists paint brush I sparingly applied it to the groves it it fits in. Thank you! 🙏🏼

    Nice job on the disassembly. Can you tell me how to get underneath the glass? I have, what looks like a couple of ink spots that show up when I either scan a document or make a copy of something. They're not on top of the glass, they're underneath!!
    I tried tipping the printer on it's side and shaking lightly, thinking it might be a couple of small black rubber pieces, but they didn't move.
    Any thoughts or a link showing me how to tear that apart to clean?
    Thanks....

    What a help this was! I have the same model and it was not printing pigment black at all. Other colors were fine. Nozzle checks and cleaning, even deep cleaning did not fix it. I suspected the nozzles were clogged, but had no idea how to really clean them. The first 2 1/2 minutes of this vid gave me all I needed to know about how to get the print head out. I watched all the vid and several others before i tried but it was pretty simple. the only thing the vid did not point out (but others did) was to remove the ink tanks before the print head latch can come up. To clean, all I did was to run water in the kitchen sink through it, just a slow stream into the ink wells and back through the nozzles back and forth until it seemed clear. Didn't dry it or flush with distilled water, but shook all the water out that I could and gently blotted it all with clean paper towel. I figured that any residual water would flush on through with the new ink. The first nozzle check I ran was perfect. It was about a half hour job and didn't have to even move the machine. So happy.

    I have one of these and it has been working ok for 2/3 years. Recently though it's making this clicking/grinding noise when it spools up on startup. When I try to print, it feeds paper spits it out but no print is visible. Feels like it's out of timing or cycling incorrectly. Any thoughts? Btw...I don't get any error prompts.

    Perhaps you could help me with a Canon TS8320 printer? It looks like the TS9120, anyway my printer will not print cd's anymore. When I load a printable cd on the multi-purpose tray and load the tray into the printer it spits the tray back out while the printer sounds like it's printing. The printer still prints onto paper from the front paper tray, but not cd's.

      Try contacting oneof the sellers or website where they sell reset codes and see if they have one for TS9020. I haven't used it on TS9020 yet, but usually they work just fine. Just as long as they are compatible.

    • @303electronics
      @303electronics  Před 4 lety

      Hi. The Error B203 usually refers to something wrong with ink cartridges. Try removing ink cartridges and see if the error goes away. If it did, put cartridges in one at a time and let printer recognize the ink cartridge after each ink, which means - close the top cover after installing each cartridge. The one that triggers the error again is the bad one and you need to replace it. Also try this video where we show how to clear or get rid of other Canon printer codes and this could help you. B203 can be a new error code which previousl models had error 6000, or similar:

    Warning to people when the ink absorber is full. The printer will cease to work. it will throw a code like 05b00 or something of this nature and its a paper weight, no scanner function or anything. The ink absorber im sure is nearly impossible to get too as this gentleman tore this down this much and i dont think he even got to it yet. They really dont want anyone fiddling with this. Planned Obsolecance. If you print like me it will last 6 months to 8 months and then they will send you a new one under warranty. After that its time to start thinking of buying a new printer. So for heavy printers, You have to think of it as a cost per duration situation.

    • @martinsmallridge4025
      @martinsmallridge4025 Před 6 měsíci

      From what I could see of the printer it looks like the pads are still being built into the right side with the ink being dumped into a receiver area in the front right rather than via longer waste tubes to the rear which the G series MegaTank models have.

    Let me save you a lot of time and trouble... throw it away and buy a different brand printer.
    Lots of tiny plastic pieces inside that slam together every time you print a page.
    Lot of sliding plastic pieces for each tray. Maybe 20 in all. See where I'm going with this?

    • @303electronics
      @303electronics  Před 3 lety

      Hi. Thanks for your input, but I can't agree with you. "Throw it away" to buy a different printer with the same amount of parts and noises???? Anyway, most printers are going to be very similar, no matter the brand. Yes, there are some bad models, but I wouldn't say this one is not worth the money. I used it and it was fine. I may agree with you on one thing- if it is too broken, fixing it may take away a lot of your time and may be extremely hard to fix, so in that case, You are 100% correct, it is probably best to replace a printer. Have a great day and thank you very much for watching. I wish you a happy Holiday Season. Merry Christmas and a Happy 2021!!!

      @@303electronics For parts? Sure. I'd never buy something this cheap printer again. Shame I bought it online before seeing it. I appreciate the video to take some parts off but the bulk of the workings are deeper. Canon did not make this easy to get to. To get to the bottom you have to take every part off from the top down. Ink drips everywhere. Designed by a monkey. Again, less than a year of use and it's broken. Didn't intend to slam you or the video, just the printer.
