English translation with a few [annotations] and minor tweaks for readability:
0:00 Host: Driving moped... I'm just imaging the big heavy metal boys at the Wacken open-air festival on mopeds in the woods... Okay, away with that image and to this totally crazy music event that takes place once more at the beginning of August in the high North [of Germany] in an actually really contemplative municipality. It's going to get really loud for four days, and someone from Arnsberg will get in on it, Sebastian Levermann, for the second time, and this is his band.
0:26 Angus McSix: ... one better. Whoa-oh. And the light will shine forever. It all has come together.
0:34 Narrator: Futuristic costumes, a little pop and disco, a few techno elements. That is the band Angus McSix, the newest music project of Sebastian Levermann. The 41-year-old plays guitar and is an old hand in the music business, which is really different from how many would imagine it.
0:51 Sebastian: Metal band boss always sounds as if it were a pure hobby but it is generally more of a business that you run. If you only do it for the fun, get hammered every evening and then get up at 6 pm in the afternoon, ahm, evening. Well, afternoon at 6 pm, right (laughs). That's not how it works. You gotta see it as a company and run it like one, which I do for many years.
1:12 Sebastian: Andi, the first thing I gotta show you on this controller is the "producer button". The producer button is really important for every producer because it does nothing but light up.
    1:24 Andi: Crazy.
1:25 Narrator: Sebastian mixes all the songs of his bands and will soon get support from Andi Brüser. The 18-year-old begins his job training as a media designer and already dips a toe in the water of the metal music business.
1:39 Andi: He showed me what he does, been on tour, did backstage, handled equipment, and I liked it. I said, well, metal is not necessarily my favorite genre but it's music I like to listen to in my leisure time. Therefore, if I can do a job training in this area, that's perfect of course.
1:57 Narrator: With his first band Orden Ogan, the man from Arnsberg already made it to the Mecca of the metal industry last year. At the Wacken open-air, 80,000 fans cheered. The band's album rocketed to 3rd place on the German charts. A place in the metal Olympus seems safe.
2:12 Sebastian: More than Wacken is impossible. It's really true. Once you stood on the main stage at Wacken in front of 80,000 or 100,000 people or however many people go there... There are many wonderful festivals all around the world that we've also been to, the Hellfest in France is amazing, for example, it's also very big. But Wacken main stage is something else.
2:32 Narrator: Despite the success, the man from the Sauerland [region] remains loyal to his homeland. He likes to relax at the Möhne Lake in his scarce spare time, by no means always unrecognized. On board the MS Möhnesee, it's straight back to business again - because Sebastian's band likes to play here, like last year as shown here.
2:52 Captain: We cater to guests of all ages, so you gotta be diverse. And he makes good music, one really has to say.
3:01 Film crew: And a lot of it.
    3:02 Captain: Definitely!
3:03 Narrator: By the way, in the video of his new band, you can only see Sebastian at the end in a martial stage costume. This choice proves to be a bit of an own goal.
3:18 Sebastian: Yes, we practice this currently on stage. I have this rubber mask on as the ultimate villain, and at the first festival shows at 35° [Celsius, 95° Fahrenheit] in the shadows, I questioned what I have brought on myself with this.
3:32 Narrator: Whether the big mass of fans likes it will show the latest at the beginning of August when it is Wacken open-air time again.

I am learning the language so for what I understand is that they really had a good time with the band and they spoke about producing the album and that they had a really good time doing things in the country. That's from my Limited understanding of the language I am learning so I would appreciate some captions as well to see how close I am😂

Is German and English similar in some ways or something? I only speak English, and I swear I could understand some of the German words or are my ears just going crazy.

Yes, both are Germanic languagues and few words are similar because they have the same roots.

English is technically a Germanic language... so yeah. although it's a very weird germanic language.
and if you know older/outdated English words it does get close tho.
for example thou and thine have a direct connection to the german words du and dein.
replacing the letter D at the beginning of some german words with the English Th can help deciphering some words.
because if you do that to Du and Dein, you get Thu and Thein, which starts to look very close to Thou and Thine.
this doesn't work with all words, but many words that have a common source shifted to a D as the starting letter in german, and to Th as the starting letter (well now 2 letters...) in English
