We were all looking forward to new reveals at Warhammer fest, but nobody was expecting the Imperial Inquisition!
Our chief weapon is surprise, fear and surprise;
Two chief weapons, fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency!
Er, among our chief weapons are: fear, surprise, ruthless efficiency
and near fanatical devotion to the Emperor!
Thanks for that :D
Noone expects the Imperial Inquisition!
HE PROTECTS,
THEY SURPRISE!
NOBODY EXPECTS THE IMPERIAL INQUISITION
If the planet the Gallowdark crashes into has jungles, I would expect exodite eldar.
The image in the teaser video looks like there's some Exodite structures, but the rumour is Striking Scorpions.
There was rumors that said striking scorpions. Exodites wouldn't make much sense for kill team. I mean they are most famous for dinosaur riders, can't imagine them in skirmish battles
You could suspect that any world where this thing crashes would be a deathworld afterwards.
@@ragnarokivae6136 they could be fine, elf on a raptor-like thing or a raptor itself should fit on a 40mm and you could have some on-foot elves + 2 or 3 40mm bases
@@ragnarokivae6136 Warcry has been including quite a few beast models, so I could see them doing Exodites with maybe one guy as a beastmaster type and some smaller raptors. Probably just be a pterodactyl standing in for the birds the Corsairs and Druhkari have though.
The only henchman I want in my retinue is the raw video output of Auspex
All about that Death World Veteran. That's such an awesome mini, I love when polearms get representation.
reminds me of sergeant stone, an old guard gland warrior with catachan duelling glaive from the old inquisitor game from 20 years ago Edit: commented before getting far enough into the video that’s exactly who it was based off
reason why I love the custodes and some of the grey knights. Their Polearm weapons are just great.
Finally! My years of repping the Inquisition is paying off.
I have heard your prayers and supplied reinforcements
@@Scarytoaster1809 Praise be!
Im so hyped to do a combined arms faction of Grey Knights and some Arbites/Inquisition acolytes (even if GK arent the biggest fans of it anymore)
Regarding the two characters at 3:48 - the central character is likely a sanctioned psyker of some variety, given his blindness and force stave, possibly an Adeptus Telepathica adept. The right-hand character is likely an Imperial Preacher/Missionary and the shotgun and wacky hair is a possible nod to a named character from second edition, Uriah Jacobus, a crazed Ecclesiarchy missionary who wielded a big shotgun. Both Sanctioned Psykers and Preachers originate as retinue choices in the 3rd edition Daemonhunters Codex (the first official Inquisition codex if I’m not mistaken), from way back in 2003. And since then I’ve been waiting for an Ordo Xenos Codex. Still waiting…
I'm actually pretty excited to see these guys finally come out, just in time for my new campaign
How cool would it be to set up a long form co-op campaign with 2 of these teams plus and inquisitor for each doing missions or wave style survival matches trying to out do one another.
@@rhuulu110
Well that's kinda what I've got going right now with my friends which is a 6 player campaign based on finding and securing key points in game. I'm playing as an ordo xeno inquisitor with his trusty bullgryn bodyguard where I have to investigate sites for xenos taint, searching artifacts and interrogating xenos for information. My Kasrkrins are slowly being added to my team much like this box set is said to be doing, so I'm pretty interested in seeing them do things like this.
This has me wicked excited! Inquisition is one i love deeply and so hyped to see them getting attention. I honestly given up on them.
The following models seems to be paired on the same miniature chassis:
Interrogator and enlightener, as seen on the buttons.
Death World Veteran and guy with hand flamer and chainsword. Can be spotted on their legs, boot straks and the small rock on the right foot.
The icon bearer and shotgun preacher habe the same skull in their belt and the cloth to their front.
The eviscerator and dual wielding gunslinger can be seen having the same edges to their robes and have the same chain in the belt.
Eldar KT might be Scorpions or Exodites. In general seems like Craftworld should get 2nd wave of releases in 10th edition
We have pretty heavy rumor confirmation of Striking Scorpions being confirmed, plus one of the teasers having a shuriken weapon looked like with a bulkier upper body look.
I need both though, and Im sure both are in thebworks, Just be interesting which releases sooner though Id bet it'll be scorps
They look pretty good. I hope they improve the preorder system for this and the beastmen/votann set.
I still can’t believe they’re making 40k beastmen a thing.
@@mileshill7196 they always where as far as i can remember. They were even featured in novels. For quite some time i wanted to make a khorne/beastman army.
OMG!! F-ing FINALLY. It looks like my prayers to the dark gods have finally been answered, the Emperor clearly wasn't listening. Now all we need are some Ynari type rules to make a proper Inquisitor army like in the Witchhunter/Deamonhunter codex days. Currently the Inquisitors themselves are fun, but all the other unit options are quite useless.
Eons of Battle is gonna love this
I'm curious if this will lead to an Inquisition faction for 40k in the future.
I hope not, inquisition dosen't look cool in 40k because for padding your army is 80% guard.
@@livanbard Which is why they need to make rules better meshing the Ordos with the chambers militant in a way that makes it an inquisitor army not an inquisitor in a DW/SoB/GK army.
Something that revolves around an Inquisitor where Ordo and radical/puritan alignment drives retinue and army choices would be spectacular for adding that flavor of an Inquisitors Army.
@@Pyratemime but wouldnt it be more efficent tocpit the inquisitors in the codex of their chamber militant/astra militarum? Like the inquisition is just a few HQ and maybe some elites not enough to make a faction.
The KT will be able to fight alongside Guard, Sisters of Silence, Arbites, Navy Breachers, and Tempestus Scions. I think Inquisition being given access to special "Requisitioned" units from different factions would be cool, even if it's literally just padding out their troop choices with existing units. And then give each Ordo access to their Militart Order (Sisters, Deathwatch, Gray Knights)
@@uwesca6263 That would be a way of achieving the result I am talking about.
Alternatively, have 2 HQ choices, Inquisitor and Inquisitor Lord as something, akin to a Captain and Chapter Master, who has to be the warlord or 10E equivilant. Depending on the Ordo and alignment they can bring X units of their chamber militant with them, generic AoI choices like breachers, or Ordo/alignment specifics like allowing a radical xenos inquisitor to bring eldar corsairs or kroot. Also open up the transport rules so that an Inquisitor can take any Imperium transport instead of just getting into one of the armies. Those kinds of rules while admittedly more complicated are what would, in my view, make an Inquisitor Army instead of an Army with and inquisitor.
3:05 Indeed the metal gun servitor was one of the oldest minis in GW's range that was still be sold. The other was a melee servitor. IIRC they dated back to the early 90s.
Happy to see an Inquisition team, just wish we weren't getting the novitiate treatment for the leader.
These are a long welcome range of models, which harken back to 4th edition when Inquisitors were an HQ element for the Daemonhunters and Witch Hunters.
What made those Codex's was how different retinue characters upgraded the Inquisitor... such as a Preacher giving a +1 Leaderhip boost, a Servitor giving a +1 Weapon Skill upgrate to the Inquisitor, or assign a wound to the Interrogator Acolyte, etc
It would be nice to see an Inquisitional Codex just to add an interesting flavour to the 40k universe!
I’m amazed it’s taken GW this long to come out with an Inquisition kill team with all the freaks and weirdos that made them so fun to put on the table before. They’re a perfect fit for Kill Team games since an Inquisitor might turn up anywhere.
After the Coteaz lore text in the Lion Arks of Omen book, I am not at all surprised at this. I can readily picture the reappearance of Inquisition forces on the battlefields of 40k, after that.
Exodite marine eldar would be one hell of a kill team
With Imperial Agents getting their own index in the main release of 10th, I'm kinda hoping they get a detachment that works like this kill team, in the sense of allowing them to include significant forces from other armies, with certain restrictions / losses of faction bonuses. Done correctly, we could end up with something where e.g. inquisitors are worth playing without being auto-include in other armies.
The "Enlightener" gives of some strong "Yeah Boi" (Diyen Adam) vibes
This box if fairly priced actually seems really good.
So.
My main army is Imperial Guard.
My second main is Chaos Space Marines.
On Boarding Actions, I play Agents of the Imperium.
I recently branched out to Custodes.
....I am glee.
I’ve been saying that the next season would be death World themed. People are hype for Exodites, but who will they be fighting? Genestealers? Jungle Fighters? Beast Snaggaz? Marine Scouts?
It’s skorpions vs sm scouts/ neophytes
Oh boy, my Inquisition Chimera project is going to have some passengers!
I've already been working on Kitbashing my own Inquisitors and retinue but I will definetly be getting some new acolytes for them as well, lets hope we get a multipart stand alone inquisitor at some point too.
i'm still impressed by your "new" intro, it's so subtly and fitting.
This is amazing. Can’t wait to see the other kits.
I think the Inquisition should get their own army. Dark Mechanicum is likely the next chaos release, then the inquisitors for a new imperium release, followed up with 40k skaven for xenos. Inquisitors could act like the Ynnari for Mankind, collecting the scattered specialists into one cohesive body
Hype, I've been a fan of the inquisitor and henchman since I was a kid, was sad to see them discontinued so it's amazing to see new sculpts for them. Especially big fan of the scribling henchman
I'm excited for the whole thing. I really like the idea of collecting a cultist army for aesthetic reasons for my collection.
I've been waiting forever for some plastic inquisitor action. I have a small collection of odds and ends I've been wanting to use. This is all great news!
The veteran is Sgt. Stone from the old Inquisitor game! The second model to come to 40k, since Damien 1427 can be built with the arco flagelant box.
Totally getting these!
The blindfold makes me think of an Astropath.
Been waiting a long time for an inquisition team. This all seems very thrown together.
Dammit. I may need this box too. Maybe in a while
Actually really excited about getting plastic servitors. Been planning to kitbags some from necromunda gangers for my admech army, but these would be welcome!
Me too. My fledgling Ad Mech kataphron-heavy force already has a Culexus assassin and X-101 as "unconventional extras" so an inquisitorial retinue might fit in quite comfortably, assuming the army composition rules don't create conflicts in 10th ed that would otherwise be lore-friendly. Internal balance and all that.
They look like a rag tag band with no small hint of C̶a̶t̶h̶o̶l̶i̶c̶i̶s̶m̶ *Grimdark*
Awesome. 👍
I can already imagine them getting some really great grimy paintjobs. As someone who has been longing for the Blanche Style to return to Warhammer Minis, I might actually get the Box just for the Mini Conversions alone
Well, Anglicans and Orthodox got their share of robes and incense.
I’m rather excited about getting my hands on this box for DnD, lots of minis that would be great for both players and monsters.
Are the rest of your miniatures about the same scale? GW minis tend to be ~32mm as opposed to the ~28mm tabletop standard size.
I do love cultists and inquisitorial stuff, damn this looks like a fun concept for a new box! I'm a little wary of it being all in one massive box tho (but actually glad it doesn't have terrain!), as I mostly already have all the chaos stuff and my group has tons of terrain now. Looking forward to the separate release. I wonder if the "narrative content" will be available separately, too? Like they do for the other bespoke teams?
Remember when minis like this were scattered across individual blister packs? -Pepperidge Farm- My Old Self remembers....
So, lore wise I think the "individual minis" section around 3:55-4:00 that you wanted to know about are Desperado, Acolyte/Sage and Zealot; and the 4:10-4:40 you'll have Hierophant, Legate/Seeker, and a Secutor/Techsorcist
I’d take some of the inquisitor ones for my space marine homebrew.
Super excited about these!
I have an old inquisitor with flamer and power steak that will go nicely with this all we need now is a new witch hunter codex
I want to kitbash these all as "brood brothers" for my GSC collection
*_Ordo Xenos would like to know your location_*
The Lady with the Eviscerator and the guy with the Plasmagun and Autopistol could be some Redemptionist Fanatics which goal it is to die 4 the emporer.
I would love to play this expansion co-op with my friends.
I've been waiting for this sooooo long! Most current players were not born when these were last refreshed.
I would love an Agents codex that lets you choose all the random units, and cap selections from other factions. Like max 2 Guard units (1 vehicle max), and same with Space Marines, Deathwatch, Sisters, Custodes, whatever. That would be super fun, even if not competitive.
love the inquisition and rogue traders, always got a random team of specialists.
I prefer using cyber mastiffs for combat servitors or acolytes or even assassin's. I have one inquisitor lord who looks like an awesome witch hunter, leading a pack of hunting hounds. Works for me. But those gun servitors...needs me a lot of those.
So need this new box set
I've been wanting this for a while! I really hope this means a "Codex: Inquisition" is on the horizon for some point in 10th with a new range alongside it. But the reveal of a Jungle planet has me hoping we get new Exodite Eldar for Kill-Team soon too
When they showed off the upcoming indexes for 10th Imperial Agents was listed as one of them!
@@bryancarmona1410 WOOO
Please don’t be monopose
Please don’t be monopose
They’re gonna be monopose, aren’t they?
announced that they come with many options to equip them with in the stream
Announced as flexible kit. Also come with optional Scions and Sisters of Silences and you can use Veteran Guardsmen, Kasrkin, Navy and Arbitees too
Highly posable doesn't mean good models.
And who cares if they are? This isn't the kind of thing you'll have multiples of.
@@chetmanley1885 Bold of you to assume Im not gonna have an army's worth of them alone to to update my old pewter models I spammed on the tabletop in 4-7Ed's
Honestly with price adjustment and inflation this may turn out cheaper than it used to be 😂
@@chetmanley1885 me trying to build a inquisition army
I'm not sure if I'll ever play with any Inquisitors in 40k (unless the Imperial Agents codex or whatever that seems to be coming in 10th turns out to be interesting), but I am most certainly quite excited to get my hands on these lads for some kickass Necromunda kitbashing.
Ok I doubt this would happen but it would be neat if the entire thing with the inquisitorial force would be that they could bring one squad of something like arbities, deathwatch, sisters of battle to show how these factions are connected
Bummed, I was holding out hope that the gland warrior was a Catachan leak.
Yesssss, LETS GOOOOO! Let the inquisition begin 🔥
One step closer to seeing an actual Inquisition army in 40k. Particularly if they can take Arbites and SoS models and give them army rules that makes them a little stronger than other armies can make them.
Yes, please, and thank you.
I want an Exodite kill team.
Crash landing on a planet? Planet has Aeldari presence? Maiden World, perhaps?
Exodites.
It’s skorpions vs sm scouts.
@@TheAliking14 Boo! Boring! (Not you, just your likely correct prediction).
It would make some sense, I admit, but this is a chance for something actually creative. Neither SM Scouts nor Striking Scorpions are all that new or creative.
Might come with some nice Aeldari terrain, though.
blueballed! I was hoping to see what new terrain would be in next seasons KT. Hoping for a new death world set.
4:30 Noob here. That appears to be a Lexmechanic, the ad-mech scribe / office worker. 😊
I'm thinking of putting together a force of the Order of the Sacred Rose. Are these the kind of units who would accompany them?
Ah crap, these are nice, too. Especially for 40k RPGs.
Finally. After getting into the lore I have been collecting inquisitors and setting aside and customizing various single models to be included in the entourage. Hopefully a more dedicated game evolves from this release. The kill team is a good stepping stone, but I think a more devolved system would be a breath of fresh air for the franchise.
I would love to able to take these as chaff/fodder in a sisters army.
nobody expected the holy inquisition
very happy for this box, i just wish they had two copies of the inquisition models, instead of one of the other imperial units.
Now if they can translate this into decent 40k support for the Inquisition and Rogue Traders, and get it somewhere back to where we had it in 5th-7th, all the better.
If it's reasonably priced I'd snap it up, really interesting mix of models and ideas.
Honestly surprised that Sisters Of Battle werent support troops for them instead of Sisters of Silence..
So people can recreate the TTS Inquisition scenes with Fyodor now?
any news on if we are getting a specific inquisitor kit then or something?
I'm saving my nickles and dimes for this one.
What a great set!!! Best of the litter!
I must admit the models don't grip me in the slightest but so pleased the Inquisition are finally getting some love.
I hope these don’t replace the Acolytes. I like running my Acolytes as my Dark Heresy party’s PCs.
Auspex with the 🔥🔥
Love these
i wanna see ravenor's crew! someone kit bash them!!!
I'm wondering how compatible this kit is with other Imperial kits, if you could mix and match with say some of the new guard kits.
The next expac looks like it’s Gonna be on a hive. Wonder if we’ll ever get to use gangers in 40k
I've been saying for a while that rebooting the Acolytes through Kill Team would be a solid idea.
Although it's clear even GW have figured out they can't keep selling people on the same set of terrain forever. So they're bundling a whole load of at best vaguely related kits together, to keep people buying big box releases.
Because having people just buy a small number of miniatures for their skirmish game is simply not doable, apparently. GW must have ALL the money.
Ohhh noyce. Want ! They would be nice for RPG playing. I still got all my rulesets for the 40k RPGs like Rogue trader et al.
Look great
THAT MEANS NEW INQUISITION RULES LETS GOOOOO
For Eldar ... Exodites Plz!
yay I hope they can be run as an army again. give them back their land raider and troops.
Complete missed opportunity for the Monty Python Inquisitors to jump out at the beginning of the video.
Oh look, it's the Darktide crew
I want some plastic servitors now 😂
The inquisitor models look amazing and I'm really looking forward to them. Only thing that bugs me is that they probably won't be released in their own box for a while.
First does feel good I guess... A lot of pressure to say something worthwile.
Welcome back, Inquisition!
I, for one, was kinda disappointed. Given the push of Nids lately I really expected a Catachan vs Nids box with new Genestealers and Rambos.
Honestly miss my Gate of Infinity (teleport) + Invisibility (cannot tatget outside 12") blob of 10 Acolytes with storm shields+plasmaguns, 3 War Priests, 2 Malleus Psycannon&NDH inquisitors, 3 jokaero, Coteaz, and 3 daemonhosts because they got buffs being near any daemons. Finish list points with psycannon ammo dual-rotary cannon preds, and some immolators filled with sisters for controlling the board presence 😂 Just jump around the board with an insane blob of ~850pts ruining anything in range's day with main squad and then hold points and hope the rest doesn't buckle and I don't reroll 1's into 1's too quickly.
I imagine that if they give us a full faction from them it will only be imperial agent keyed factions, but I can dream of getting any Grey Knights and Sisters squads I liked in there as well.
Me excited about being able to buy plastic inquisition 😁😁😁 also me... Looking at all the metal inquisitor models henchman Stormtroopers that I purchased over the years or off eBay or traded 😢😢😢😢
I want to add my Darktide team.
there's literally like two models in this whole set that "looks the part" to be part of some inquisitors personal guards, the rest literlaly looks like some mishmash that is better suited as some rando necromunda underhive gang...
